Please keep the operating instructions for future reference. If applicable pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance.

Safety instructions
The safety standards of Electrolux electric appliances are in keeping with the re­cognised rules of technology and the law governing the safety of appliances. Ne­vertheless as a manufacturer we are com­mitted to familiarise you with the following safety instructions:
General safety
The appliance may only be connected to a power supply whose voltage and frequency comply with the specificati­ons on the rating plate!
Never pick up the hand mixer if
the lead is damaged,
the housing is damaged.
Never use the lead to pull the plug out
from the socket.
In order to avoid danger, if the connec­tion lead of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufactu­rer, its customer service dept. or a simi­larly qualified person.
Repairs to the appliance may only be carried out by trained personnel. As a result of incorrect repairs considerable dangers for the user may result. Please contact the Electrolux customer service department or your dealer in the event of repairs being necessary.
Safety of children
Never leave the appliance unattended when on and supervise particularly careful­ly if young children are around!

When using your hand mixer
Never use the mixer if you have wet hands.
Plastic parts may not be placed on or directly near to heaters.
• On no account should you push the lead into the hand mixer manually as the automatic lead winder could get damaged.
Do not use this appliance to stir paints (lacquers, polyesters etc.)
result in an explosion!
The appliance should be switched off and unplugged before any cleaning or maintenance work is done on it.
Never clean the appliance under run­ning water or submerge it in washing­up water.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages which are caused by using the appliance for any other purpose than that intended or incorrect use.
Installation, connection and initial use
The attachments are only to be inserted into or removed from the appliance when it is switched off.
The hand mixer can process ingre­dients in any bowl. However standard plastic mixing bowls are best suited if they are sufficiently high, with smooth edges and are slip proof.
Never switch on the appliance until the working attachments are in the mixing bowl with the ingredients to be proces­sed. Always wait until the attachments stop before you remove the bowl.
Do not hold any hard objects (e.g. a spoon, knife or whisk) against the moving attachments and do not touch them with your hand. This could result in injury!
When you have finished working with the appliance, switch it off and unplug it from the electricity supply.

Dispose of the packaging!
Dispose of the packaging material of your appliance correctly. All packaging materials are environmentally friendly and can be disposed of without any danger or burnt in the refuse incinerator. The boxes are made from recycled paper and should be retur­ned to the old paper collection.
Dispose of your old appliance!
When you eventually stop using your ap­pliance please bring it to the nearest recyc­ling centre or to your dealer who will take it back for a small fee.
Operating instructions
Hand mixer
With the hand mixer you can stir, knead, beat, mix and chop. Move the hand mixer with the appropriate attachments around in gentle circles through the bowl with the in­gredients.

The dough hooks (3) are used for

heavy doughs, such as yeast dough, short crust pastry, potato batters and cake mixes.
The whisk is suitable for (4) light cake

mixes, egg white, cream, mayon­naise, purées and for stirring sauces and dessert powders.
The quick mix rod is used to mix (5)

fluids, stir sauces or puree cooked vegetables.
The mini chopper (6) is used to chop

small amounts of herbs, fruit, vegeta­bles, meat or hard cheese.

Insert/release attachment

1. Press the whisk or dough hooks
into the attachment holder (7) at the bottom of the hand mixer until you feel it/them click in.

The two dough hooks have different insertion shapes. They have to be inserted into the correct attachment holder (7) as if this is not done, the dough is transported upwards!

Switch the hand mixer off after use.

Pull out the mains plug.

Press the ejector button (2) and

remove the attachments.
Quick mix rod:

Push the slide (10a) backwards.

Insert the quick mix rod into the

attachment holder (10b), so that the markings on the quick mix rod and housing are opposite each other.
Tighten the quick mix rod by turning

it clockwise (10c). The quick mix rod can only be operated in the instant setting.
If the slide is pulled back as far as it

will go, the hand mixer can be rested on it during a rest.
After use unscrew the quick mix rod

by turning it anti-clockwise. Remove the quick mix rod.

Mini chopper:

Risk of injury: the chopping blade (11a) is very sharp. Only hold it by the plastic part.

Attach the chopping blade (11a) onto

the axle of the mini chopper. Attach the non-slip rubber ring on

the exterior of the bottom of the mini chopper.
Fill the food to be processed into the

mini chopper. Attach the drive unit onto the mini

chopper (11b), so that the markings on the drive unit and the mini chop­per are opposite each other.
Place the hand mixer onto the mini

chopper (11c). Mini chopper can only be operated in

the moment level. After you have finished, switch off

the hand mixer and pull out the mains plug.

Wait until the chopping blade comes to a standstill before you remove the hand mixer from the mini chopper.

Remove hand mixer from the mini

Automatic lead winder

Pull the lead out of the hand mixer. It

will catch at any length desired (max.
1.45 m). After using the hand mixer slightly

tug the lead. This releases the lead again and it ist wound up by the automatic lead winder. Guide the lead with your hand whilst it ist being wound up.

On no account should you push the lead into the hand mixer manually as the automatic lead winder could get damaged.
Switch on the hand mixer
1
Never switch the hand mixer on when no attachments have been inserted. Using the on/off switch (1)
– you can switch the appliance on and
off,
– you can infinitely adjust the motor
speed,
– you can choose the instant setting
"M". In the instant setting "M" the hand mixer works as long as you push the on/off switch to the left. The appliance runs at top speed for as long as the switch is activated.

– Start all work at the lowest speed.
Use the instant setting, repeatedly release the on/off switch (pulsing). By doing this, you avoid powdery substances from flying up and fluids from spraying.
– For successful whipped cream, chill
the cream and the bowl in the refri­gerator before whipping.
– Do not use your mixer for extremely
hard foodstuffs such as ice cubes, nutmeg and coffee beans.
– When working with meat, check that
all bones, tendons and gristle have been removed.
– Before filling cooked food into the
mini chopper, let it cool down for a few minutes.
– Exception: mashed potato becomes
fluffier if all ingredients are proces­sed hot.
Cleaning and care

Residues of carrot and red cabbage juice can be removed from the pla­stic parts with cooking oil before the appliance is cleaned.

Always pull out the mains plug before cleaning the hand mixer.

Make sure that no water enters the inside of the appliance! Never clean the appliance under running water or submerge it in washing-up water.

Clean the drive unit with a damp cloth.

Never submerge the quick mix rod in washing-up water and never clean it in the dish-washer!

To clean the drive of the mini chop­per, only wipe with a damp cloth.
