Repairs to the appliance must only be carried out by qualified service engineers.
Considerable danger may result from improper repairs. If repairs become necessary, please contact your local Service Force Centre.
Child Safety
Never leave children unsupervised when the appliance is in use.
The appliance is fitted with a child safety device.
Safety whilst Using
People (including children) who, because of their physical, sensory or mental capabilities or their inexperience or ignorance are not able to use the device safely, should not use this device without supervision or instruction by a responsible person.
This appliance is intended to be used for cooking, roasting and baking food in the home.
Take care when connecting electric appliances to sockets nearby. Do not allow con- necting leads to come into contact with or to catch beneath the hot oven door.
Warning: Risk of burns! The interior of the oven becomes hot during use.
Using ingredients containing alcohol in the oven may create an alcohol-air mixture
that is easily ignited. In this case, open the door carefully. Do not have embers, sparks or naked flames in the vicinity when opening the door.
How to avoid damage to the appliance
Do not line the oven with aluminium foil and do not place baking trays, pots, etc. on the oven floor, as the heat that builds up will damage the oven enamel.
Fruit juices dripping from the baking tray will leave stains, which you will not be able to remove. For very moist cakes, use a deep tray.
Do not put any strain on the oven door when open.
Never pour water directly into the oven when it is hot. This could cause damage to the
enamel and discolouration.
Rough handling, especially around the edges of the front panel, can cause the glass to break.
Do not store any flammable materials inside the oven. These could ignite when the oven is switched on.
Do not store any moist foods inside the oven. This could damage the oven enamel.
After switching off the cooling fan, do not keep uncovered dishes in the oven. Mois-
ture may condense in the oven interior or on the glass doors and may get into the units.

ferent extents, lay the insertable component onto the runners at the back, push it in as far as the stop and then lower it onto the retaining pins at the front.

The grill set consists of grill and roasting pan. The grill can used on both sides.
1 Warning: There is a risk of burning when removing the roasting pan from the hot oven!

and for toasting.
Non-stick accessories
To ensure that this accessory remains stable and permanently easy to clean, you should follow these instructions:
Do not put accessories into the oven without any food.
Do not place accessories on hot cooking surfaces, as the non-stick properties can be
damaged by overheating.
Pizza stone
Now you can cook pizzas just like those from the pizzeria in your oven at home. The secret is the pizza stone. It is first heated up in the oven so that it can give off the stored heat during the baking process. The porous surface can absorb moisture which results in a particularly crusty pizza.
19Operating the Oven
1 Do not grease the surface of the pizza stone.
To get the right result, follow these steps carefully:
1. Prepare the pizza dough (e.g. as in our recipe suggestions, but you can also use ready-
made dough or pizza base mixtures).
2. Place the pizza stone on the oven shelf, insert them both into the 4th/5th oven position from the top.
3. Pre-heat the oven until the temperature pilot light goes out. At the same time set:
Oven functions Prea-heating Baking
CONVENTIONAL 275°C approx. 30 min. 275°C approx.12 min.
FAN BAKING 250°C approx. 30 min. 250°C approx.10 min.
4. Prepare the ingredients for the topping.
Page 20
Operating the Oven20
5. After the dough has risen, roll out the dough with a rolling pin into the desired shape (no bigger than the size of the wooden board) and create an edge.
6. Flour the wooden board or cover it with baking paper (don’t let the baking paper go into the oven with the pizza).
7. Lay the rolled out dough on the board.
8. Quickly top the pizza on the board with the prepared ingredients.
3 Don’t leave the finished pizza lying on the wooden board for long, as otherwise
the dough can become soggy and can’t be slid off the board!
9. Now slide the pizza onto the pre-heated pizza stone:
support the board on the pizza stonepull the board back sharply
10. Close the oven door, bake for approx. 8-15 minutes. When the pizza is ready, use the wooden board again to take the pizza off the stone. If you would like to bake several pizzas one after another, re-heat the pizza stone each
time until the temperature pilot light goes out (approx. 5-10 minutes).
Tips:
If you like pizza with lots of topping, select a lower temperature and a slightly longer
time (e.g. 200°C and about 15 minutes).
For pizza that doesn’t have so much topping, you can set a high temperature and a
short time (e.g. 250°C and about 8 minutes).
Meat Probe
3 When the meat probe is plugged in, the OVEN FUNCTIONS menu offers a choice of suit-
able oven functions and additional programmes for the meat probe.
1 Important: Only the meat probe supplied may be used. If replacing, please use only
original replacement parts.
Inserting the meat probe
1. Switch on the appliance using the ON/OFF button.
2. Push the tip of the meat probe into the meat as
fully as possible, so that the tip is in the centre of the meat.
3. Insert the meat probe plug into the socket on the side wall of the oven as far as it will go.

3. Set the oven function and, if necessary, the oven temperature.
3 A provisional end time will be calculated depending on the quantity of food and the se-
lected oven temperature (at least 120°C) and operating mode. This procedure can amount to approx. 30 minutes and is updated in the display during the cooking process. For the system to work, it is essential that the meat probe is in the meat and in the socket at the start of the cooking process and that it is not removed during the cooking process. During the calculation phase, the display for the time of day and meat’s core temperature shows a “flashing square”.
As soon as the pre-set core temperature is reached, a signal sounds and the appliance switches itself off automatically.
4. Press any button to switch off the signal. Changing the core temperature at a later time:
Press the SELECTION button repeatedly until the MEATPROBE function flashes and the core temperature set appears in the temperature display. Then change the temperature using the or button.

MENU can be set repeatedly.
Pre-heating with the RAPID HEAT UP function
After an oven function has been selected, with the additional function RAPID HEAT UP the pre-heating time can be shortened. Pre-heating the empty oven is unnecessary for most baking and roasting sessions, because the temperature set is generally reached in a short time (see Tables and Tips). We recommend pre-heating the empty oven using the RAPID HEAT UP function for biscuits that quickly spread into one another, bread rolls and Swiss rolls.
1 Important: Do not put the food to be cooked into the oven, until RAPID HEAT UP is
completed and the oven is operating using the desired function.
1. Set the oven function (e.g. CONVENTIONAL). Change the suggested temperature, if nec-
essary.
2. Press the RAPID HEAT UP button. The symbol lights up: When the bars flash one after another it shows that RAPID HEAT UP is operating. When the temperature set is reached, the bars of the heat indicator are lit. An audible signal sounds. The symbol goes out. The oven now continues heating according to the pre-set oven function and temperature. You can now place the food in the oven.
3 If you generally prefer to put food into a pre-heated oven, you can switch on the RAPID
HEAT UP function permanently (see SETTINGS MENU). The RAPID HEAT UP function is then switched off with the RAPID HEAT UP button.
3 The RAPID HEAT UP function can be switched on with the oven functions TRUE FAN,
FAN BAKING, CONVENTIONAL and ROTITHERM.

Cleaning and care
1 Warning: First switch off the appliance and let it cool down before carrying out any
cleaning.
Warning: For safety reasons, do not clean the appliance with steam blasters or highpressure cleaners.
Attention: Do not use any corrosive cleaning fluids, sharp objects or stain removers.
Do not clean the glass oven door with abrasive fluids or metal scrapers, which could scratch the surface. The glass could crack and shatter.
Outside of the appliance
Wipe the front of the appliance with a soft cloth and a solution of hot water and washing up liquid.
For metal fronts, use normal commercially available cleaning agents.
Please do not use scouring agents and abrasive sponges.
Oven interior
1 Warning: make sure the oven is switched off and has cooled down before cleaning. 3 Clean the appliance after each use. In this way, dirt is easier to clean off and is not al-
lowed to burn on. Residues that are not removed may cause changes to the surface colour when Pyroluxe is used.
1. The oven light switches on automatically when the oven door is opened.
2. After every use, wipe the oven with a solution of water and washing-up liquid and allow
to dry.
3 In the event of stubborn dirt, clean using Pyroluxe. 1 Important! If you use an oven spray, please follow the manufacturer’s instructions ex-
actly.
Accessories
Wash all slide-in units (shelf unit, baking tray, shelf support rails etc.) after each use and dry well. Soak briefly to make them easier to clean.
Non-stick accessories
Clean accessories with a soft sponge or cloth in hot water and washing-up liquid.
3 Bright spots in the coating do not mean that the surface is damaged. 1 Important: Do not use any aggressive or scouring cleaning agents, spray oven
cleaners, steel soap pads or hard objects such as knives or sharp-edged scrapers. These destroy the coating.
Page 39
39Cleaning and care
1 Important: Do not clean these accessories in the dishwasher. The non-stick proper-
ties would be lost as a result.
Performing Pyrolytic cleaning
1 Warning: The oven gets very hot during this process. Keep small children away. 1 Important Before carrying out the pyrolytic cleaning process, all removable parts, in-
cluding the side rails, must be removed from the oven.
3 If you use the oven shelf runners that are available as special accessories, these must
be removed before pyrolytic cleaning. If the side rails/oven shelf runners are still in place, ‘C1-REMOVE RUNNERS’ appears in the time display. The pyrolytic cleaning process then cannot be started due to a safety cut-out that protects the side rails/oven shelf runners.

1 Warning! Repairs to the appliance are only to be carried out by qualified service engi-
neers. Considerable danger to the user may result from improper repairs.
3 If the appliance has been operated incorrectly, the engineer's visit will be chargeable,
even during the warranty period.
3 Advice on cookers with metal fronts:
Because of the cooler surface at the front of the cooker, opening the oven door during (or just after) baking or roasting may cause the glass to steam up.
Electrical Connection
The oven is designed to be connected to 230-240V~(50Hz) electricity supply. The oven has an easily accessible terminal block which is marked as follows:
Letter L - Live terminal Letter N - Neutral terminal E - Earth terminal
1 This oven must be earthed!
The cable used to connect the oven to the electrical supply must comply to the specifications given below.

Connection
via
Cooker Control Circuit 2,5 mm
It is necessary that you install a double pole switch between the oven and the electricity supply (mains), with a minimum gap of 3mm between the switch contacts and of a type suitable for the required load in compliance with the current regulations. The switch must not break the yellow and green earth cable at any point.
Important
After installation and connecting, the cable must be placed so that it cannot at any point reach a temperature of more than 50°C above the ambient temperature. Before the oven is connected, check that the main fuse and the domestic installation can support the load; and that the power supply is properly earthed.
The manufacturer declines any responsibility should these safety measures not be carried out.

pert. Please comply with this. If you do not, any damage resulting is not covered by the warranty.
1 Safety information for the installer
The electrical installation is to be set up so that the appliance can be isolated from the
mains with a minimum 3mm all-pole contact separation. Suitable separation devices include e.g. cut-outs, fuses (screw fuses are to be taken out of the holder), RCD’s and contactors.
Anti-shock protection must be provided by the installation.
The built-in unit must meet the stability requirements of DIN 68930.
Built-in ovens and built-in cooking surfaces are fitted with special connection sys-
tems. For safety reasons, they must only be combined with appliances from the same
manufacturer. The use of thermal insulation bars is not permitted in cookers with Pyroluxe, if the recess has a back wall and a solid shelf.
However with a shelf shortened by at least 20 mm and ventilation in the plinth of the same diameter, it becomes possible to build-in.
