Straight A2K-FFC
Installation Instructions

Tools Required:

Stanley knife
Wire cutters
Wire strippers
2mm flat head screw driver

Step One:

Disassemble the Field Fit Connector and slide the base nut, securing gland,
plastic collar and main body of the connector over the cable (See Fig.1)

Step Two:

Screw the base nut(with the securing gland and plastic collar fitted inside it) to the main body of the
connector tight enough that it doesn’t move during installation.
Strip back 25mm from the outer sheath of your DeviceNet cable to expose the wires and then remove
the screens.
Cut 10mm off of the blue (NET-L) wire, leaving 15mm, as this fits to the terminal that sits higher than the
others on the screw head.

Step Three:

Loosen the individual screws on each pin and insert the correct wire in accordance with
Table.1 and Fig.2 one at a time.
Tighten the terminal screws as firmly as possible to secure the wire inside the pin.

Step Four:

Loosen off the base nut from the main body of the connector enough so it can be moved up
and down the cable.
Locate the keyway inside the main body and the screw head and line them up.
Screw the main body and screw head firmly together.
Secure the base nut to ensure a watertight connection.
