powerful wireless N radio, gigabit Ethernet switch, dual-core 32-bit
processor and capacious amounts of memory (32MB Flash, 64 MB
SDRAM), the Q1000cansimultaneously supporta widerange of demand­ing multimediaapplications, including HDTV,standardTV,Voice overWiFi,
mediasharing,andonlinegaming. As a pointofcomparison,mostrouters
use a 32-bit single-coreprocessor, 4 MB Flash, and 8 MBSDRAM

Gigabit Ethernet Built In

To further add to the Router’s Power, Gigabit Ethernet is available on the
LAN or home networking side. Supporting speeds up to 1000 Mbps, you

802.11n Wireless Built In

The Router supports 802.11n out of thebox, with backward compatibility

TheWirelessN VDSLModem Router hasthe optionto includea JavaVirtual
Machine and Java Runtime Software. Capable of hosting a number of Java
applications, the Router, in combination with this feature, allows you to
make more options available to your customers (home automation or
enhanced security, to list only a couple of options) in a modular fashion;
thatis, rather thanhaving to implementsweeping changesvia a full-scale
firmware update, you can use Java to selectively update customer units
with revenue-generating applications.

Robust Firewall and Wireless Security

The wireless-enabled gateways support WEP, WPA, and WPA2 encryp­tion. Unique IDs areassigned to eachwireless gateway to prevent hack ­ing. The Q1000 includes a fully customizable firewall with Stateful
Packet Inspection, denial of service protection, content filtering, intru­sion detection, WPA/WPA2 and WEP wireless encryption to keep
unwanted visitors from accessing your network.

WhileitrunsontheVDSL2 accesstechnology, it also featuresan“AutoFall
Backto ADSL2+/2“ option, whichallowsit to operateon the ADSL 2+ and
ADSL2 accesstechnology.Simply stated,there’sno need to buyone device
today, and another tomorrow, which means less SKUs for you, and less
inventory.
