turned off prior to maintenance work being
carried out

Each maintenance engineer attaches his
colour coded padlock to the safety lock off
hasp

The machinery cannot be turned on until all
the engineers have remover their padlocks
from the safety lock off hasp

In industry the use of safety lock off hasps is
mandatory
