IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this electrical appliance, safety precautions should always be observed, including the following:
n READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS. n Close adult supervision must be provided when this
appliance is used by or near children.
n Using attachments not recommended or sold by
Keystone Manufacturing Co., Inc. may cause hazards.
n DO NOT allow the cord to hang over the edge of the
counter or touch hot surfaces.
n Place the Deni Buffet Server securely in the center of
the counter or work space.
n Do not place near hot gas or electric burner. n Do not touch hot surfaces. n Turn the thermostat to the OFF position before
plugging in or unplugging.
n To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. n CAUTION: The surface will remain warm after the unit
is turned off.
n Always unplug the unit before attempting to move it.
Extreme caution must be used when moving appliances containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
n DO NOT operate with a damaged cord. Return the
appliance to Keystone Manufacturing Company Inc. for proper service, replacement or repair immediately.
n Always unplug before cleaning and removing parts. n Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

n Always clean each part individually.
n Do not use outdoors. n Do not use the Deni Buffet Server for other than
intended use.
n Do not clean with metal scrubbing pads. Pieces can
break off the pad and short circuit the electrical parts, creating the possibility of an electrical shock.
n To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse
plug, cord, or motor base in water or any other liquids.
n It is recommended that you do not use an extension
cord with this unit. However, if one is used, it must have a rating equal to or exceeding the rating of the appliance.
n DO NOT leave this appliance unattended while in
operation.
n Do not fill trays more than n This unit is for household use only. n This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

Temperature Settings
1. Foods of different densities may require a higher or lower amount of heat to keep the food at the desired
temperature. For example, ground beef will need a higher temperature setting to keep warm than will a marina sauce.
2. To eliminate the risk of spoiling or food borne
illnesses, all hot and/or warm foods should be maintained at 140°F or above.
3. To maintain the minimal temperature of 140°F, use a
food thermometer and adjust the settings on the temperature control dial as needed.
4. Check the temperature of the food with a food
thermometer periodically, especially if the food will be remaining in the buffet server for an extended period of time.
5. This 2-tray buffet server is designed to reach a
minimum temperature for each setting on the temperature control dial. (See below for more information)
Low
Medium -
This is the minimum temperature when the 2 server trays are used on the warming tray.
High - 200°F This is the maximum temperature when the 2 server trays are
used on the warming tray.

Before First Use
1. Remove all packing materials and literature.
2. Wash the lids and trays with warm soapy water using a sponge or soft cloth. Rinse, dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe the warming base with a clean damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Do not immerse the base in water.
4. Heat the warming base without food for about 10 minutes. This will seal the coating on the warming tray. NOTE: The appliance may give off smoke or
odors when heating for the first time. This is normal.
Assembling your Buffet Server
There are two ways to use your buffet server.
1. Using the 2 large, 2.5 qt trays
Place the Serving Tray Support on the Warming Tray and place the two large serving trays inside.

Using the Warming Tray with Buffet Trays
1. With the temperature setting in the “Off” position, plug the appliance into an electrical outlet.
2. Clean and dry all surfaces thoroughly before use. See
Cleaning Instructions.
3. Set the temperature control dial to “Medium.”
4. The Buffet Server can keep food warm for a longer period of time if the lids are used, however it is not recommended to exceed more than 4 hours or the food may become dry.
5. Once you are through using the appliance, turn the temperature control dial to the “Off” setting and unplug from the electrical outlet.
6. Allow the appliance to completely cool down before cleaning or storing the unit.
Operating the Unit
Food should be fully cooked and hot when put in the buffet server or on the warming tray.
1. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
Assemble the unit to your preference.
2. Place the food in the trays and turn the temperature
dial to “LOW”. The indicator light will illuminate showing you the appliance is on.
3. Turn the temperature dial to “LOW”, “MED”, or “HIGH” to adjust the temperature. NOTE: For best results turn the knob to the “HIGH” setting to quickly reach your temperature and then turn it down to the desired temperature.
4. Food will be kept warm for a period of time after the
appliance has been turned off.
Cleaning the Unit
1. Make sure the temperature dial is in the “OFF”
position. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Allow the appliance to cool completely.
3. Wash the lids and trays with warm soapy water using
a sponge or soft cloth.
4. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
5. Wipe the body with a clean damp cloth. Do not use
abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Do not immerse the base in water.

Hints and Tips
n Use the buffet server to keep food warm while
preparing other foods.
n Foods containing little or no liquid should be kept
on the “LOW” setting, stirring occasionally.
n When using the appliance as just a warming tray, be
sure to use containers that are heat proof. NOTE: The warming tray is not designed to keep large, deep pots of food or liquid warm.
n The warming tray is ideal for keeping shallow pans
warm right from the oven.
n Do not fill trays more than 2/3full. n This appliance is not intended for use by people
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have supervision or have been given instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
n The buffet trays are oven safe. The lids are not.
n When serving warm or hot food, you can warm the
buffet trays in the oven prior to putting food inside to help keep the temperature higher during the initial setting.
NOTE: The surface temperature of the warming tray will be much higher than the buffet tray ranges in order to transfer the heat from the warming tray to the buffet servers.
NOTE: Extended use over long periods of time at high temperatures may cause discoloration of the buffet trays and scorching may occur on the warming tray.

Your Deni Buffet Server is warranted for one year from date of purchase or receipt against all defects in material and workmanship. Should your appliance prove defective within one year from date of purchase or receipt, return the unit, freight prepaid, along with an explanation of the claim. Please send to: Keystone Manufacturing Company, Inc. 800 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14207. (Please package your appliance carefully in its original box and packing material to avoid damage in transit. Keystone is not responsible for any damage caused to the appliance in return shipment.) Under this warranty, Keystone Manufacturing Company, Inc. undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective.
This warranty is only valid if the appliance is used solely for household purposes in accordance with the instructions. This warranty is invalid if the unit is connected to an unsuitable electrical supply, or dismantled or interfered with in any way or damaged through misuse.
We ask that you kindly fill in the details on your warranty card and return it within one week from date of purchase or receipt.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state/province to state/province.
