2 Hardware Installation
The followings are instructions for setting up ZYCOO CooVox-U100
IP PBX. Please refer to the illustration and follow the simple steps
below to quickly install your IP phone system.
2.1 Safety Precautions
Notes:
To avoid any device damage and bodily injury caused by improper
use, please observe the following rules.
Kee p the power off dur ing the i nstallation.
Wear an ESD-preve nti ve w rist st rap , and make s ure tha t th e wrist strap h as a good
skin contact an d is we ll grounde d.
Use only the p ower cord provided w ith IP PBX .
Make sure that th e suppl y voltage match es the specifi cat ions in dicated on t he rear
panel of IP PBX.
Confirm not to brin g abou t the overload of po wer circuit before turn ing on the
power of IP PBX, to avoid the u nnecessa ry dama ge.
To avoi d th e elect ric accident, do n ot open or re move the cover of IP P BX wh en i t is
wor king as well a s off the powe r.
Before cleaning the de vice, cut off th e power suppl y. Do not cl ean it by the
wateri sh clot h, and never use any oth er liqu id cleanin g metho d.

To ensure normal operation and long service life of the device,
please install it in an environment that meets the requirements
described in the following subsection. Please keep a proper
temperature and humidity in the equipment room. Too high/low
humi d i t y may lead t o bad i n sulat i o n , elect r i city l e akage ,
m e c h an ic al p r o pe rt y c h an ge s a nd c o rr o si on s. To o h i gh
temperature may accelerate aging of the insulation materials and
can thus significantly shorten the ser vice life of the device. For
normal temperature and humidity of the device, please check the
following table.

The dust accumulated on IP PBX can be absorbed by static
electricity and result in poor contact of metal contact points. Some
measures have been taken for the d evice to prevent static
electricity, but too strong static electricity can cause deadly
damage to the electronic elements on the internal circuit board. To
avoid the effect of static electricity on the operation of IP PBX,
please attach much importance to the following items:
Dust the device regularly, and keep the indoor air clean.
Keep the device well grounded and ensure static electricity has
been transferred.
