lReportanypotentialsafetyproblemstothepersoninchargebeforeworkingwithZTE
products.
lRemoveitemsofjewelry,suchasrings,necklaces,andwatchesbecausetheycan
catchonmovingparts.Metaljewelryitemsareconductorsthatcanresultinelectric shock.
lAlwayswearappropriatePersonalProtectiveEquipment(PPE)whenworking. lPayattentiontothehazardlabelsandcautionorwarninginformationonproducts.
Nevercoverorremovethelabelsorinformation.
lOnlyusethetoolsdescribedininstructions. lBefamiliarwithequipmentdocumentsandspecialmaterials.

Ifareoccursandisoutofcontrol,evacuatethebuildingorequipmentsiteimmediately. Raisethenearestrealarm,orcalltheemergencynumber.Donotre-enteraburning buildingunderanycircumstances.Failuretocomplycanresultinseriouspersonalinjury ordeath.

Generalreprecautionsaredescribedasfollows:

lKeepoorandaislespacecleanandfreeofobstacles.Usenon-ammablecleaning
agentswheneverpossible.
lRemoveemptypackagingmaterialandinstallationdebrisfromtheequipmentsite. lMakesurethatthereisanadequatenumberoffunctionalcarbondioxidere
extinguishersforelectricalresattheequipmentsite.

Switchofftransmittingantennas,orreducetheiroutputpowertoasafelevelwhenworking with,orstayingnear,theseantennas.Failuretocomplycanresultinpersonalinjury.
AllpersonnelwhoareresponsibleforinstallingandmaintainingRFtransmittingequipment musthavesufcientknowledgeaboutRFsafety .Theymusthavebeentrainedtobe awareofpotentialrisksofRFexposure.Theymustobserverelevantregulationsduring RFequipmentinstallationandoperation.

lAllpersonnelenteringanElectromagneticEnergy(EME)controlledareamustknow
howtoreducepotentialexposuretoRFradiation.
lAllpersonnelwhowillberequiredtowearPPEmustknowhowtousethePPE
correctly.

OperationalRequirements

lNeverliftaboardorunitbypullingthecablesonit. lNeverdisconnectaconnectorbypullingthecablesonaboardorunit. lDonotblockorcovertheventswhentheequipmentisinoperation. lAlwaysuseapropertooltotightenthescrewswheninstallingapanel. lAfterinstallingandreplacingtheequipment,removeemptypackagingmaterialfrom
theequipmentsite.

2.3Batteries

Checklead-acidbatteriesforsignsofoverheating.Overtemperaturecanresultin deformation,damage,andelectrolytespill.
Whenthetemperatureofalead-acidbatteryisabove60℃,checkwhetherthereare electrolytespills.Ifso,disposeofthespillsproperlyandimmediately.

lBeforeoperatingtheequipment,makesurethatthemetalbuckleoftheESDwrist
strapisingoodcontactwithyourskin.Makesurethattheotherendofthewriststrap
ispluggedintotheESDjackontheequipment(),asshowninFigure2-1.
lWhentheESDwriststrapisingoodcondition,theresistanceofthesystemranges
from0.8MΩto1.2MΩ.Generally,anESDwriststraphasaservicelifeoftwoyears. Itshouldbereplacedwhentheresistanceisoutoftherange.
lTheESDwriststrapcannotpreventtheESDthatoccurswhenyourclothescontacta
board.Avoidcontactsbetweenboardsandclothing.

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigital device,pursuanttoPart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovide reasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.
Thisequipmentgenerates,usesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergy.However,there isnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthisequipment doescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioorreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturning theequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyone ormoreofthefollowingmeasures:
lReorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna. lIncreasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver. lConnecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthe
receiverisconnected.
lConsultthedealeroranexperiencedtechnicianforhelp.
MODIFICATION:Anychangesormodicationsnotexpresslyapprovedbythegranteeof thisdevicecouldvoidtheuser'sauthoritytooperatethedevice.
REDUCINGRADIATIONEXPOSURE-USEPROPERLY
ThisdevicecomplieswithFCCradiationexposurelimitssetforthforanuncontrolled environment.InordertoavoidthepossibilityofexceedingtheFCCradiofrequency exposurelimits,humanproximitytotheantennashallnotbelessthan20cm(8inches) duringnormaloperation.
