Raisethenearestrealarm,orcalltheemergencynumber.Donotre-enteraburning
buildingunderanycircumstances.Failuretocomplycanresultinseriouspersonalinjury

lKeepoorandaislespacecleanandfreeofobstacles.Usenon-ammablecleaning

lRemoveemptypackagingmaterialandinstallationdebrisfromtheequipmentsite.
lMakesurethatthereisanadequatenumberoffunctionalcarbondioxidere

extinguishersforelectricalresattheequipmentsite.

with,orstayingnear,theseantennas.Failuretocomplycanresultinpersonalinjury.

AllpersonnelwhoareresponsibleforinstallingandmaintainingRFtransmittingequipment
musthavesufcientknowledgeaboutRFsafety .Theymusthavebeentrainedtobe
awareofpotentialrisksofRFexposure.Theymustobserverelevantregulationsduring
RFequipmentinstallationandoperation.

lAllpersonnelenteringanElectromagneticEnergy(EME)controlledareamustknow

howtoreducepotentialexposuretoRFradiation.

lAllpersonnelwhowillberequiredtowearPPEmustknowhowtousethePPE

products.

lWhenreplacingparts,placetheparts,screws,andtoolssafelytopreventthemfrom

droppingintooperatingfans.

lNeverliftaboardorunitbypullingthecablesonit.
lNeverdisconnectaconnectorbypullingthecablesonaboardorunit.
lDonotblockorcovertheventswhentheequipmentisinoperation.
lAlwaysuseapropertooltotightenthescrewswheninstallingapanel.
lAfterinstallingandreplacingtheequipment,removeemptypackagingmaterialfrom

theequipmentsite.

2.3Batteries

Caution!

Checklead-acidbatteriesforsignsofoverheating.Overtemperaturecanresultin
deformation,damage,andelectrolytespill.

Whenthetemperatureofalead-acidbatteryisabove60℃,checkwhetherthereare
electrolytespills.Ifso,disposeofthespillsproperlyandimmediately.

Warning!

Electrolytespillserodemetalobjectsandboardsandcauseequipmentdamage.

Whenelectrolytespillsoccur,absorbandneutralizethespilledliquidbyusingthe
absorbentandneutralizerspeciedbythebatterymanufacturer.Typicalneutralizersare

Thefollowingprecautionsmustbetakenaselectrostaticprotection:

lBeforeoperatingtheequipment,makesurethatthemetalbuckleoftheESDwrist

strapisingoodcontactwithyourskin.Makesurethattheotherendofthewriststrap

ispluggedintotheESDjackontheequipment(),asshowninFigure2-1.

lWhentheESDwriststrapisingoodcondition,theresistanceofthesystemranges

from0.8MΩto1.2MΩ.Generally,anESDwriststraphasaservicelifeoftwoyears.
Itshouldbereplacedwhentheresistanceisoutoftherange.

lTheESDwriststrapcannotpreventtheESDthatoccurswhenyourclothescontacta

board.Avoidcontactsbetweenboardsandclothing.

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigital
device,pursuanttoPart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovide
reasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.

Thisequipmentgenerates,usesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergy.However,there
isnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthisequipment
doescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioorreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturning
theequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyone
ormoreofthefollowingmeasures:

lReorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.
lIncreasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.
lConnecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthe

receiverisconnected.

lConsultthedealeroranexperiencedtechnicianforhelp.

MODIFICATION:Anychangesormodicationsnotexpresslyapprovedbythegranteeof
thisdevicecouldvoidtheuser'sauthoritytooperatethedevice.

REDUCINGRADIATIONEXPOSURE-USEPROPERLY

ThisdevicecomplieswithFCCradiationexposurelimitssetforthforanuncontrolled
environment.InordertoavoidthepossibilityofexceedingtheFCCradiofrequency
exposurelimits,humanproximitytotheantennashallnotbelessthan20cm(8inches)
duringnormaloperation.
