INTRODUCTION
The Saver One T is designed to effectively train emergency responders in the use of an AED.
It meets the needs of all trainers, for teaching both first time lay users and refreshing experienced
emergency responders. This training unit helps students to become familiar with the use of the Saver One
Semi-Automatic AED in a real SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest) emergency event.
The Saver One T has clear voice instructions that provide easy-to-follow directions through the 10
preconfigured scenarios (simulating realistic SCA episodes) that can be surfed with remote control.
It is equipped with one or two languages (out of 20 available at choice) and with LED indicators able to
simulate a faulty device event or to provide a real “low battery” status.
The Saver One T has no high-voltage capabilities, ensuring safety during training, and complies with the
latest Resuscitation Guidelines.

Maintenance After turning off the unit, make sure to pull out the pads connector from the unit.
Keep the unit clean. If the unit is dirty, use a soft damp cloth with water or neutral
detergent to wipe softly. If necessary, clean or sterilize it with a cloth soaked in
medical alcohol (75% maximum concentration). Do not clean it with other volatile
material. Use only damp non-abrasive cloth for cleaning.
Do not let liquid such as water flow into the unit.
POWER SUPPLY
The Saver One T is equipped with a Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery (12V@2Ah).
A long-lasting battery able to power the Saver One T in continuous operating for around 20 hours or 30
days in stand-by mode.

It will continue to power the unit for about 1 hour after the “low battery” warning message and, in
extreme cases, it can be charged even when the unit is in-use during a lesson.
Ordinarily we recommend to charge the battery when not connected to the Saver One T.
In case of long disuse period, we recommend to charge the battery at least once every 45 days in order to
optimize its capability.
Minimum number of charge cycles guaranteed: 300.

Do not shock, cut, break or open the battery
Keep the battery away from children
If liquids came out from the battery and get in touch with eyes, wash them carefully with

CHARGER
The Saver One T is equipped with the SMART CHARGER (H01440010-XX-D1 Ni-MH/Ni-Cd) able to
charge the battery. No other kind of charger is allowed to be used for charging the battery.

To grant the perfect functionality and performance of batteries, here few recommendations for a good
charging process:
Before starting the charging process, be sure the charger or the battery are not overheated. Otherwise,
wait for a few minutes so that both items reach room temperature which is the only condition to start

the charging process;
After connected the charger to the wall socket (AC source) wait that its cycle of start-up is completed
(green-red-green-red-off) before to link up the cigar-jack into the battery’s DC connector. Otherwise
release the charger from the AC source and try again.
Once the start-up of the charger is completed, link up the cigar-jack into the battery’s DC connector
and check that the LED on the charger turns red.
For empty batteries, wait for the battery charging process will last at least 2 hours (the charger’s LED
will remain lighting red for at least two hours before it becomes green). If not, unplug the charger
from the battery, wait a few minutes and try again to restart the charging process.
Note: even if the charging process should be done in several steps, in order to consider it successful
you must be sure that the battery has been under charge for a total time of at least 2 hours.

TRAINING PADS
The adhesive adult pads are for training use only. Use the pad cable for connecting pads to the unit and on
the manikin. Training pads can be re-used for several time with a correct maintenance:
Keep the adhesive side clean and free of dust. Stick pads with their original cover after each use.
Don’t wipe the adhesive side with paper and cloth
Don’t scrape the adhesive side with nail and brush.
Don’t store training pads in places subjected to direct sunlight, high temperature or humidity.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Connect the battery to the trainer unit. Status green LED will start flashing.
Keep ready the remote control: insert the 2 AA 1.5V batteries following the arrowhead direction.
Turn on the unit by pressing the ON/OFF switch (not available through the remote control – it only
turns off the unit).
The voice message “Place the two electrodes firmly to bare chest as shown in the picture” will be
issued until training pads are connected to the unit.
This message is not broadcasted if pads are connected before turning on the unit.
This message will be repeated for five (5) times after which the unit is turning off by itself, along
with a “beep” sound, if the pads are not connected.
Once pads are connected the unit starts with scenario #1 (S1).
Change scenario selecting from S1 to S10 on the remote control.
From the control section of the remote control, press buttons to: turn up or lower the volume
according to noisy in the class, select the second language (if optioned), pause the scenario if a
stop is needed for an explanation and play it again when finished.
From the events section of the remote control is possible to intercede at any time and in any
scenario to: simulate a bad pads connection condition, let the unit have a low battery or faulty
status, change rhythm from shock to non-shock, insist on doing CPR for the bitter end.
When the unit is simulating a faulty or low battery status (during scenarios S8, S9, S10 and with
troubles events generated by the user) the red LED will be illuminated as warning condition.
Switch off the unit with remote control OFF button or pressing the ON/OFF switch on the unit.
