Getting to know your Snap PT

The Snap PT is a smart WiFi Pan & Tilt IP camera with a
built-in rechargeable battery. The battery lasts several
hours, giving you flexibility to move your for Snap PT
quick monitoring jobs. Place the in your garage Snap PT
when you go shopping, place it upstairs when your baby
is napping, or even move it to a quiet space for a quick
conference call. You can install your Snap PT anywhere
in your home without any complicated installation or
wiring.

Make sure that you have a strong WiFi connection at the
location of your camera. Visit www.zmodo.com/support
for advice on improving your WiFi signal range.
Make sure you know the SSID (WiFi network name) and
password of the 2.4GHz WPA/WPA2 WiFi network that
you want your to connect to. Your network Snap PT
cannot be hidden.
Download and install the Zmodo app from Google " "

Play or the App Store (Compatibility: iOS 7.0+ or

Android 4.0+). Launch the app and sign up for a free
Zmodo account. All of your devices will be bound to this
account.

This quick start guide will help you configure your
Snap PT for initial use. For detailed instructions and
troubleshooting, please visit:

Before you begin:
Mobile Setup
Place your Snap PT onto the charging pad and power it
on with the supplied power adapter.
Zmodo
Make sure your network has at least 2Mbps upload speed
to view and 4Mbps upload speed when using the Zmodo
Cloud Service for each Snap PT.

This device can be set up with a Zmodo Beam. If you own a
Beam, please follow the instructions in your Beam quick guide
to connect your device instead.

Select the “Zink” connection method to
connect your Snap PT. Your Snap PT
will be added to your Zmodo account.
Log in and press in the upper
right corner. Select "Add Device".

Tap to proceed (If you’re setting up
multiple Zmodo devices at once, tap
to add additional units).

Follow the on-screen instructions and
select “Tap here to begin setup” to go
to the WiFi settings page on your
smartphone.

Select the network named “ZMD_SAP”
and connect to it.
Note: If you see a "No Internet Connection" error
method, please ignore it and connect anyway.

If this app interface appears, please
press “Tap here to select WiFi”.
Return to the Zmodo app page and
select or enter the SSID and password
of the WiFi network that you want your
Snap PT to connect to.
Note: The WiFi name and password are casesensitive.

If you see this screen, the app will
connect Snap PT to your WiFi network.
This may take a few minutes. Once it’s
completed, please skip to step 11.
If you do not see this screen, please
proceed to step 8.
Note: If you are connecting multiple devices, you will
need to wait for the app to find and connect all
devices.

Select the WiFi network that your Snap
PT will connect to, and connect to it.
Return to the Zmodo app once your
mobile device is connected to the WiFi
network.

The app will automatically search for
your Snap PT and connect it to the WiFi
network. This may take a few minutes.
Note: If you are connecting multiple devices, you will
need to wait for the app to find and connect all
devices.
Name your Snap PT and set a
password for it. Tap to proceed.
Note: The password provides an additional layer of
security for your devices. You will not need to use
this password when accessing your devices from
the Zmodo app. It is not required, but it is highly
recommended.

After setting up your Snap PT, find a suitable location to
set up your charging pad and place your Snap PT on
the charging pad. This will be the location that your
Snap PT monitors most of the time. Make sure that your
Snap PT is within range of your WiFi network.
The charging pad is designed to allow you to easily
move your Snap PT for quick monitoring jobs. The builtin battery lasts several hours under regular use. Pick up
and place your Snap PT on any flat surface within range
of your WiFi to monitor other locations. Place your Snap
PT back on the charging pad after you're done.
Using your Snap PT
Your Snap PT has been successfully
configured! You can now share or view
your Snap PT.

Once you have found a suitable location for your Snap
PT, plug in the charging pad to a nearby power outlet
using the included power adapter. Then place your
Snap PT onto the charging pad to charge it.

Smart motion detection
Snap PT
Snap PT allows you to monitor your home day and night.
Whenever motion is detected, your smartphone will
receive an alert instantly.
Note: Please refer to the diagram below in order to properly connect your
Snap PT to the charging pad.

image left and right, or up and down in the app.

Snap PT's simultaneous two-way audio allows you to talk
to and hear your loved ones at the same time.

Monitor your doors and windows
When a door or window is opened, your Snap PT can
automatically turn to see what happened and alert
you. Follow the instructions to configure your door /
window sensor and set a preset location for your Snap
PT to turn to whenever a sensor is triggered.
Note: If your device includes a door / window sensor, please
read the following overview before installing your sensors.
Do you want to play a lullaby for your sleeping infant, or
do you just need some mood music? Snap PT has a
built-in bluetooth speaker for that. Access the bluetooth
settings on your smartphone, and scan for available
bluetooth devices. After a few moments, “Snap PT”
should appear under your list of available devices.
Select “Snap PT” and wait for the connection to
complete. Enjoy your favorite songs!

Connect your door / window sensors
Access your Snap PT's Device Settings and select the
"Accessories" option. Select the icon to add an +
accessory. Remove the plastic tab from your sensor,
and follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing.
Remove the film to expose the adhesive on the bracket,
and install sensors as shown below. Please make sure
that the two portions of the sensor are no more than
2cm apart.

Make the Preset Settings
When the door / window sensor has been successfully
added, access Snap PT's Device Settings, select the
"Preset Setting" page and press the option. +

Select the door / window sensor that you want to
configure. Using the preview image, rotate the camera
to the desired position, and complete the rest of the
steps. Name the preset, and press "Save" to save the
settings.

Recording and Viewing Options
All of your Zmodo devices will be bound to your Zmodo
user account. You can access your camera and other

devices by using the Zmodo app with any Android or

iOS device. Just download the Zmodo app from

Google Play or the App Store .
You can also access your devices from any web
browser with our web app. Visit and user.zmodo.com
log in with your Zmodo user account information.

Blinking green
The Snap PT is ready for setup.
Blinking blue
Your Snap PT is connecting to the WiFi network. Please
do NOT turn off or unplug your Snap PT at this time.
Please make sure that you entered the network name and
password correctly. Note: Both are case-sensitive.
You may need to improve your WiFi strength. Visit
www.zmodo.com/support for suggestions.
If you were unable to connect your Snap PT
successfully:
Make sure that you are connecting to a 2.4GHz
WPA/WPA2 WiFi network, and that your network is not
hidden.
