Safety information
WARNINGS
!
• This product must be installed in accordance with local regulations and these installation instructions.
• Installation, commissioning and maintenance must only be carried out by a competent installer who will then be
responsible for adhering to all relevant standards and regulations.
• An approved check valve or other (no less effective) back ow device must be tted between the supply and lter.
• The filter must not be modified in any way.
• In case of leaks isolate the water supply. Repairs must only be carried out by Zip or an authorised Zip service engineer.
• Incoming water temperature must not exceed 23°C.
• Only to be used with a Wholesome (cat 1) water supply.
• If the lter interferes with any earth bonding then a bonding strap should be tted according to current IEE regulations.
CAUTIONS
!
• Optimum operation is ensured at a water flow pressure of 0.5-8.6 bar. Do not subject the filter to water hammer or
excessive pressure.
• The filter must only be used when correctly installed and in perfect working order.
• Flush the water supply pipes thoroughly prior to installation.
• Zip cannot be held liable for any damages caused by failure to observe these instructions.
• Filter performance is dependent upon age and site water conditions.

• A range of in-line lters, containing granular activated carbon and scale inhibitor.
Technical specications
• The filters are designed to reduce tastes and odours (including chlorine / chlorine by-products), THM’s, PAH’s,
pesticides such as Simazine, Atrazine, Lindane, Dieldrin and inhibit the precipitation of scale deposits.
• WRAS approved.
• Flow rate 2 - 3l / min.
• Temp. range 1 – 23oC.
• Water flow pressure of 0.5-8.6 bar.
• Capacity FL064 3000l nominal, FL104 6000l nominal.
• 15mm compression ttings.

• Fit the lter in the incoming mains cold water supply line to the appliance.
• Turn off the incoming cold mains water supply.
• Note the ow direction on the lter (marked with an arrow).
• Connect supply line to the inlet side of the lter.
• Tighten rmly, using two spanners (do not over tighten).
• Turn on the water supply.
• Flush 18 litres of water through the lter (use a length of hose on the outlet of lter and drain to waste).
• Turn off water supply.
• Connect lter outlet.
• Tighten rmly using two spanners.
• Turn on water supply.
• Check for leaks and tighten ttings if leaks occur.
