However, the installation instructions do apply to this product.
ξ WARNING! SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER.
ξ
ATTENTION! COUPER LE COURANT AU FUSIBLE OU UN DISJONCTEUR.
ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE (Fig.1).
1. Attach the central tube (I) to the lamp body (L) by turning it clockwise until tight.
2. Attach the long nipple (M) to the bottom connect of the lamp body (L) and then lock it securely
with the check nut (N), attach the Connect (O); the tube (P); the connect (Q) and the lamp body
(R), then securely tighten using the washer (S), the nut (N) and the connect (T).
3. Connecting the wires as step 2.
4. Attach the short nipple (U) to the bottom connect of the lamp body (R) and then lock it securely
with the check nut (N), attach the cup (V) and then lock it securely with the finial (W).
5. Attach the shade (K) onto the socke t of the la mp body (L) and the lamp body (R), a nd then lo ck
it securely with the check screw (J).
6. Install the light bulbs (Not included) in accordance with the fixture specifications. NOTE: DO
NOT EXCEED THE SPECIFIED WATTAGE!
HANGING THE FIXTURE (Fig.1)
1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture from ceiling, including the
old crossbar.
2. Carefully unpack the new fixture and lay all the parts on a clear surface.
3. Thread loop (E) into nipple (B) until snug.
4. Attach the crossbar (A) to the junction box using screws (C). The side of the crossbar marked
βGNDβ must face out.
The junction box is not included.
5. Open one end link of the chai n (H) and connect to the loop of the tube (I). Close the link (F).
6. By measuring, determine correct number of links needed for proper hanging height. Using
proper chain pliers disconnect and discard remaining chain.
7. Lace the fixture wires throug h the chain.
8. Slip loop collar (G) and the ca nopy (D) over the chain.
9. Open the other end link of the chain and hang the fixture on the loop at the ceiling. Close the
link (F).
10. Feed the fixture wires through the loop (E) and nipple (B) and pull until taut.
CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig.2)
1. Take the black wire from the ceiling junction box and the smooth wire leg from the fixture and
twist bare ends together. Twist wire connector onto end of wire until snug.
2. Repeat same process with white junction box wire and ribbed wire leg of fixture wire. NOTE:
Twist wires together in the same direction you twist the wire connector onto wires.
3. If your junction box has a grounding wire (green or bare copper), attach this wire and the bare
copper wire from the fixture together as step 1. If junction box has no ground wire, attach the
bare copper fixture wire to the green ground screw on the crossbar.
4. Tuck these wire connections neatly into the ceiling outlet box and then raise the canop y (D) all
the way to the ceiling; then raise the loop collar (G) and thread into ceiling loop protruding
through canopy.
Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
