INITIAL SET-UP

To set up the telescope, remove all pieces from the box.
Remove one nut from each of the brass pivot bolts and remove
the plastic washers from the bolts. The plastic washers should
be placed between wood and brass connecting points to pro­tect against scratches. Slide the pivot bolts through the leg
attachment holes so that the leg mounts are placed between
the prongs of each leg and the bolts pass through the holes
in the leg mounts. Be sure washers are placed between each
surface when attaching the leg to the leg mount. Tighten the
nuts on each bolt to secure the legs.

ADJUSTING ANGLES

To adjust the angle at which the telescope is aimed, loosen
the thumbscrew or handle for the axis which you would like
to adjust. To move the telescope up or down, loosen the flip
lever located on the right site of the mounting arc. To turn
the telescope on the horizontal axis, loosen the thumbscrew
located near the base of the mount column. Retighten the flip
lever and thumbscrew to secure the location of the telescope.

FOCUS ADJUSTMENT

To focus the telescope, turn the copper focus knob located in
front of the eyepiece. Do not force the focus knob as you may
damage the focusing mechanism.
