Eyepiece Selection
To select magnication, grab the eyepiece turret (1)
and rotate the turret until the desired eyepiece faces
the center of the binocular. when choosing an eyepiece, keep in mind that the shorter of the two eyepices offers 40x magnication while the longer of the
two eyepieces offers 25x magnication.
Eyepiece Focus Adjustment
The eyepieces on the Parallax use individual diopter adjustment to achieve proper focus. To adjust the
focus on the eyepieces, turn the eyepiece you would
like to adjust while looking through the binoculars
until the image appears clear.

Interpupillary Distance Adjustment
The distance between the eyepieces can be adjusted to
allow for more comfortable viewing. To adjust the distance between the eyepieces, grab the large black adjustment barrels (2) at the back of the binoculars and rotate
them in or out as needed.
Altitude Adjustment
To adjust the binoculars vertically, loosen the vertical
adjustment knob (3), grab the body of the binoculars,

Azimuth Adjustment
To adjust the binoculars horizontally, loosen the horizontal adjustment knob (5),
grab the body of the binoculars, and move them to point at the desired viewing
angle. The angular scale (6) can be used to plot angles, get coordinates, or nd
objects using a known reference point.
Releasing the Tabletop Tripod
To use the tabletop tripod, turn the tripod release ring (located just below the angular scale) and lift the tabletop tripod out of the full size tripod. This is much easier
to do with two people as the binoculars are heavy. The tripod legs should be spread
out completely before the binoculars are set on the tabletop tripod. When replacing
the tabletop tripod, ensure that the tripod release ring is tightened before letting go
of the binoculars.

Using the Tripod Wheel Base
Foot Clamp
To mount the tripod onto the wheel base, place the feet of the tripod
into the foot clamps on each leg. To ensure stability, tighten the foot
clamps by turning the clamp screw until the tripod foot is secure.
Arm Release
To collapse the wheel base for storage or transport, pull
the silver release knob located at the base of the arm you
would like to collapse and swing the arm away from the
handle. The knobs are spring loaded and will automatically lock when the arms are fully extended.
Leg Spread Adjustment
To adjust the distance between the feet of the tripod, loosen the spread
adjustment knob on each foot holder and slide them to the desired
position on the crossbars. Remember to lock the foot holders in place
once adjusted by retightening the spread adjustment knobs.
Wheel Brake
To keep the wheels from undesired movement, activate the wheel
brake by stepping on the brake lever which extends out from the
wheel housing. To disengage the brake, step on the wheel release on
the top of the wheel housing. There is a brake on each wheel of the
wheel base.
