1. Go to WLAN/Wi-Fi on the portable smart device (e.g., smartphone or tablet) and
connect it with your Wi-Fi router (supports 2.4GHz or 5GHz) that can access the
Internet properly.
2. Download and install ‘Sengled Pulse Flex’ App for corresponding operating system.
You may find App on Google Play Store for Android Devices and Apple App Store
for iOS devices.
For further information, please go to www.sengled.com.
3. Turn the light switch to OFF position prior to installing the Pulse Flex bulb in a
proper socket (E26/E27/B22). Twist the bulb into the socket and turn the power
on. Follow the voice prompt from the bulb, and wait for at least one minute to
restart Pulse Flex to the Wireless Mode (configurable, ).
CAUTION: Never use with external or outside dimmers.
4. Launch the Pulse Flex application. Please entre your Email account and password
to log in. If you don’t have an account before, please Sign Up to set up your new
account.
5. Pulse App will automatically search nearby Pulse Flex bulbs which have been
connected to your Wi-Fi router. If there are no Pulse Flex bulbs added to the
network, press “Device Management” to add unconnected Pulse Flex bulbs to
the Wi-Fi router.
6. Press ‘+’ button on the top right, the App will search out nearby configurable
Pulse Flex bulbs. Please note, this may take approximately 30 seconds, do not exit
the App during this process.
Notice: If there are still no Pulse Flex bulbs found, please check the Wi-Fi network
connection, light bulb switch, and distance between the Wi-Fi router and Pulse
Flex bulbs etc.
7. When the searching is complete, the App will list out all nearby configurable
Pulse Flex bulbs. You can select one Pulse Flex bulb at a time (only configure one
bulb per time), press “Next” and select your Wi-Fi router. Enter the password of
Wi-Fi router and wait for the connection complete. This process may takes
several minutes, please do not exit the App during this time.
8. Once all Pulse Flex bulbs have been connected to the Wi-Fi router, a main screen
Lights (on left tab) and Players (on right tab) will appear.
Lights: for LED lights ON/OFF and dimming control individually or by group.
Players: Play your favorite music through ‘Local Music’, ‘Local Network Music’ or
“Music Services”. Choose your favorite songs from different music sources to play
or create your own playlists. .
9. Press and move Pulse Flex up or down to create groups for dimming and
music control.
Create a Pulse Flex Group:
Press the button and pull it to a bulb that you want to create as a group
together.
Remove a Pulse Flex Bulb from a Current Group:
Press the button of the bulb that is in a group, then pull it out of the
current group to be an individual one.
After that, return to the home page and pull down the interface to refresh the
group status.
10. If you want to change the settings of individual Pulse Flex bulb or a group, press
‘Device Management’ under the Menu, then select the bulb or the group you
want to change.
‘Name’: Name of a Pulse Flex bulb or a Pulse Flex Group. This name is visible on the
App. User can press the ‘Edit’ button to change it to a more meaningful name, such
as “Bedroom”, etc.
‘Keep Last Brightness’: Record the last brightness value when the light bulb
physically turns off. Otherwise, the brightness will reset to the default value, which is
100%.
‘Relink’: If the bulb cannot be controlled via the App, press “Relink” to get it
connected back to the main network.
“Remove from the Network”: Removes the bulb from the network and restores to
the factory setting. This process may take several minutes, please wait and do not
turn the bulb off during this process.
11. If you want to add more Pulse Flex bulbs to the existing network, go to the
‘Device Management’ tab under the Menu and start setup wizard again.

RESETTING A PULSE FLEX BULB:
If the bulb cannot be detected by the App on portable smart devices in any ways,
user can press the physical RESET button to reset the configuration of the bulb, as
shown below
CAUTION: Following procedure resets all settings and deletes all the data on the bulb,
please don’t turn Pulse Flex off during the resetting.
Select one of two methods to reset the Pulse Flex bulb:
I. Software Reset: Power on the Pulse Flex bulb and connect it with the smart
device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) through Wi-Fi router. Navigate to Device Management tab and select the Pulse Flex bulb or group that is to be reset.
Press Remove from the Network at the bottom of the page. The bulb will
take several minutes to reset all settings and reboot.
II. Manual Reset: Power on the Pulse Flex bulb, wait for 30 seconds and long
press the RESET button for around 5~6 seconds till it blinks, then release the
button and wait for 2~3 minutes until the process complete.
NOTE: Wait for approximately 2~3 minute (This ensures the bulb is on Wireless Mode).
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Please follow all user manual instructions when installing the product.
• Only clean Sengled product only with a dry towel.
• This Product is intended for indoor use only.
• Do NOT use this product outdoors.
• Do NOT get this product wet and do NOT use near any water source.
• The product should not be exposed to dripping or splashing liquids of any kind.
• Do not install the product near any heat sources, such as heater, radiators, stove,
heat registers or other apparatus that produce heat.
• Ensure that the product is stable and secured in place during installation. If the
product is dropped or falls out of the light socket, it may cause bodily harm.
• If the product is dropped or falls out of the light socket, it may be damaged. Please
check the product for any visible damage.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do NOT remove the back cover or take apart.
There are no serviceable parts inside.
• To prevent product failure, the bulb should only be installed in operating
environments ranging between +32 degrees Fahrenheit and +95 degrees Fahrenheit
(0 degrees Celsius and +35 degrees Celsius).
• Do not block any ventilation openings on the product, as shown below.
• Never push any objects into the openings or slots on the product. Doing so may
create an electric shock or fire hazard.
• Maintain sufficient distance around your product for sufficient ventilation; do not
put anything within at least 6 inches of light bulb socket.
• For best protection against lightning, unscrew the product from its power source
during a storm.
• Only use accessories specifically recommended by the manufacturer.
• Refer all servicing to qualified Sengled service technician.
• Servicing is required when the product:
1) Has been damaged in any way;
2) Liquid has been spilled on the product;
3) Objects have fallen into the product;
4) The product has been exposed to rain or moisture,
5) The product does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
• Repairs must be performed by a qualified Sengled technician.
• For bulbs with a weight significantly higher than the bulbs for which they are a
replacement, the increased weight may reduce the mechanical stability of certain
luminaires and bulb holders and this may impair contact and bulb retention. Check
all sockets and bulb holders frequently and make sure they are secure and stable.
• The bulb can be hot and should not be touched without taking care.

(i) the device for operation in the band 5150–5250 MHz is only for indoor use to

(ii) for devices with detachable antenna(s), the maximum antenna gain permitted for
devices in the bands 5250-5350 MHz and 5470-5725 MHz shall be such that the
equipment still complies with the e.i.r.p. limit;
(iii) for devices with detachable antenna(s), the maximum antenna gain permitted for
devices in the band 5725-5850 MHz shall be such that the equipment still complies
with the e.i.r.p. limits specified for point-to-point and non-point-to-point operation as
appropriate; and
(iv) the worst-case tilt angle(s) necessary to remain compliant with the e.i.r.p.
elevation mask requirement set forth shall be clearly indicated.
Users should also be advised that high-power radars are allocated as primary users
(i.e. priority users) of the bands 5250-5350 MHz and 5650-5850 MHz and that these
radars could cause interference and/or damage to LE-LAN devices.
