The Securetone Micro Addressable sounder flasher base is the latest innovative product from GLT Exports Ltd. It is available as an addressable sounder, or combined sounder flasher, to which can be connected a conventional detector, either smoke, heat, or opto-heat. This can allow for considerable cost savings in locations where a sounder & detector are required. It is designed to work with Zeta Analogue addressable control panels only.
The Securetone Micro sounder has an 8 way D.I.L. switch to set the address. Switch 8 MUST be to the ON position. Switches 1 to 7 are used to set a binary address, with OFF being a binary 1, and ON being a binary 0 (or see setting chart on page 3)
There isa jumper totell the sounderwhether a conventional Optical smoke detector, or conventional heat detector has been fitted. This makes thesounder reply as OPTICAL, or HEAT.
There is also a potentiometer which may be used to adjust the sound level if required. It is supplied set to it`s maximum volume.
Normally the will be used in conjunction with a conventional heat/ smoke detector. However, if the MODE selection jumper is removed, it will behave as a normal addressable sounder. (NOTE: in this configuration, theconventional detector input will be inoperative.)
The sounder flasher version also includes a loop short circuit isolator, which minimises the number of devices which would be inoperative in the case of ashort circuit on the loop.
Securetone Micro
Low current consumption.
5.5 mA for combined Sounder/Beacon
Address setting is in the base for easy Detector head replacement
Can work as a stand alone sounder.
Complies with EN-54 pt.3
Allows use of Conventional Detectors
Loop Isolator option
Compatible with all Zeta addressable panels

The is a Base Sounder or Sounder Flasher which is also used to interface one conventional detector tothe Analogue Addressable Loop. The number of units which can be connected to each Loop isdependent on Looploading. The totalnumber per loop shouldnot exceed 64.
Sounders can be programmed from any address between 1 and 126. In normal operation, the sounder answers asan Optical Smoke Detector, or aHeat detector (depending on themode jumper setting). As it is not reporting as a sounder, the control panel must be aware that there is a sounder present in order for the sounder to operate. (This is automatically built in to the Simplicity &Premier ADFire AlarmControl panels)
The
by leaving off the mode select jumper. In this configuration, the detector connection wires are inactive,so can not signala fire. Acover should be fittedto thesounder to ensurea detectoris not fitted.
