gauges. These fasten to the back of the charcoal Vshaped piece on the front of the fairing.
Fig 2. Remove the 2 screws at the front of the fairing.
FIG4
Fig 3. HERE IS THE TRICKY PART! You have to
carefully pry the charcoal V-shaped piece from the fairing. It is held in place by two tabs on each side (see FIG5) and by a plastic pin at the bottom that pushes into a rubber grommet. (See FIG6).
FIG5 FIG6
Fig 5. You can see the tabs on the V-shaped part
and the slots that they fit into on the silver fairing. The tabs break very easily. If you happen to break one or more of these, don’t worry. These don't affect the fitment.

Fig 6. The rubber grommet is fixed to the fairing and
you will need to pull the v-shaped piece away. If you were standing in front of the bike looking at the screen, you would pull it straight towards your body.

Fig 9. You can try to do it this way, but it's hard to do
without breaking the screen.
Fig 8. Now you are ready to remove the screen. Lift
one side of the screen off of the posts on the fairing bracket. The easiest way is by placing your palm right in the center of the screen between the two posts and gently push in on the screen. This relieves the tension on the screen at the posts and will allow you to lift one side or the other off.
