These Presses being compact ly built with a shor t throat or gap , have practically all the advantages
of the Pillar Pr esses, but permit the feeding of the material from side to side as well as from front to back. Th ey are recommended for work of small area but of heavy material such as occurs in the manufacture of hardware , lock s, etc. Every · press is tested at an overload of
The frame is of heavy construction, material properly distrib uted, and rests on perman entl y upright
legs , but presses can also be furnished wit h inclined legs if the nature of the work permits discharge by gravity.
The general features , sta nd ar dized by long years of practice, are maintained, but many important
improvements of the deta ils ha ve been added .
Special care has been taken to make operation a nd adjustments as convenient as possible.

The slide is long , its wea ring surfaces are large, and have compensation for wear. Lugs with bolt
holes are pro vided furnished.
Our strong, simp le and very relia ble clutch controls the operation. The Pitman is unusually strong; it maintains its a dju stment und er the severes t wo rk ing condition . The crankshaft, made of steel forging, is ample in diam eter especially in the wrist pin to withstand
the maximum pressure without springing. It can be furnished with adjustable stroke. (patented).
The knockout in slide is adjustable from the front of the press.

TERMS
PROPOSALS cover machines and tools of the specified capacity and range designed, built and prepared for
domestic shipment in accordance with our standard practice at the time of sale. Illustrations are fair represen-
tat ions but are not binding in detail. Weights are merely approximate domestic shipping weights. Capacities are based on the use of commercial grade soft steel and gages referred to are the United State s Standard Gage of Sheet Steel. Production Figures are estimates only, based on the possibility of the machines when operated under proper conditions by competei:it operators but necessarily varying according to the ability of the operator .
QUOTATIONS are for acceptanc e within thirty days and subject to change without notice. Approximate
prices are merely expressions of our opinion and are not a limiting factor in any degree.
DELIVERY IS F .O.B. Newark, N. J ., and all cost for erection of the equipment at the purchaser's plant
shall be taken care of by the Purchaser.
TERMS OF PAYMENT are net 30 days after <fate of invoice. Foreign terms according to special conditions.
SHIPPING DATES are approximate only, computed from receipt at the factory of all details pertaining to
the order essential to its proper execution. All Agreements made contingent upon strikes, fires, accidents or causes beyond our control.
ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS. All orders, whether placed direct or through an Agent, and all subsequent
amendments thereto are subject to final approval and acceptance by the Home Office.
CANCELLATION. Orders accepted by us cannot be countermanded, except with our consent and then
only upon the following conditions: Standard Equipment. (Defined as catalogued equipment ordinarily carried in stock.) When cancellation is
accepted we reserve the right to. make a cancellation charge up to 20% of the purchase price. Special Equipment , manufactured for special requirements and n_ot stocked as standard product. Cancella-
tion will be accepted upon payment of a percentage of the total special equipment price equal to the percentage of tota l work completed, including drawings, patterns and special tool equipment cost, provided, however, that such drawings, patte rns and equipment shall be reta ined by us.
EXTRAS. Amendments made by the purchaser to orders already placed shall, without formal notice to the
purchaser, be subject to extra charges.
SERVICE CHARGE. All service in the nature of erect-ing, demonstrating or repairing of any machine
offered will be charged at a standard rate per day, plus tra nsporta tio_n and living expenses.
GUARANTEE. We guarantee each unit of machinery and equipment to fulfill our representation s and to be
free from defective material and .workmanship for a period of one year from date of invoice when given normal and proper usage and when owned by the original purchaser. Claims that machinery or equipment do not fulfill our representations must be made within two weeks after arrival and the use discontinued pending substant iation ·of claim. We reserve the right to either make necessary corrections, or at our option to take back the items involved and cancel the order, without assuming further obligat ions. We do not assume any obligation for unauthorized alterations on tools, machines and parts furnished by us. During the guarantee period parts found defective by our inspection will be replaced free of charge f.o.b. our factory.
