the vacant slot in the rear housing of the existing display.
NOTE There is a rotation limiting tab on the bottom rib of
the pole extension. This needs to be fitted on one
side, or the other of the mating projection feature in
the rear housing. If not, it may be difficult to replace
the existing front housing.

6. Secure the pole grip in place using the two M3 x 12 self
tapping screws (supplied).

7. Replace the back housing of the existing display. Install
the four M3 x 18 self tapping screws.

Assembling the Dual Head Scale Display
The single Scale Display for the MP6000 with scale can be
easily converted into a dual Scale Display. The steps that
follow include instructions to assemble the unit.
NOTE The assembly instructions that follow only apply
when adding a second display head to a single
display.
Required Tools
•
Sharp cutting instrument (e.g., scissors, craft knife,
etc.) to enable easy removal of the second display
from the packaging.
•
Phillips head screw driver.

2. Remove the four securing screws from the rear of the
existing display. Remove the front housing assembly,
complete with LCD and PCB (see Figure 3).
The second Scale Display head ships complete with a
routed cable, pole grip, two M3 x 12 self tapping Phillips
screws, and a set of four display faceplate decals.

Follow these steps to convert a single display to a double
display:
1. Find the Scale Display faceplate decal with the identical
information that shows on the existing faceplate.
Remove the adhesive backing on the identical faceplate
decal, and carefully adhere it into place on the front face
of the second display.

3. Remove the circular cap from the existing display and
either discard it, or keep is as a spare part.
NOTE The new faceplate must contain exactly the same
information as the one on the existing display.

4. Connect the cable from the second display to the RJ11
connector on the PCB in the existing display. The words
To Slave appear on the PCB near the connector.
