YX055-CEL Signal Antenna Installation
The 18-element Yagi antenna you have purchased provides enhanced cellular performance with
your zBoost signal booster.
Maximum performance will be achieve d when the antenna is ai med at the stronge st signal from your
wireless provider. If you know the direction of your provider’s tower, simply point the antenna in th at
direction. Note: the closest tower may NOT be used by your provider. Some helpful hints are included if
you are unsure where your tower is located.
Note: Unplug the Base Unit until all cables are connected. Plug-in the Base Unit and
verify that the Power light stays green and no red indicators light; otherwise, you
may have to reorient the antenna or relocate to another location in the room. See
the Troubleshooting section and www.zBoost.com for more information.
Installation Steps:
1. The highest point will usually produce the best results. If you do not have roof access, you
should choose the side of the building with the strongest signal. With your wireless phone turned
on, walk around your house while noting the number of “bars” on your signal strength indicator.
2. When you have determined the location of the strongest signal, install and tighten the antenna to
your antenna mast or pole with the brackets provided. Loosely tighten the mast, so that you can
rotate it from the base.
3. Connect the RG-6 coax cable to the antenna.
4. Wrap the F- type connector using the Coax-Seal tape provided in the package.
5. Route the antenna cable indoors and connect it to the base unit using the Cell Phone Signal
Booster installation instructions.

meter range or less so that it can go up as you rotate the Signal Antenna to the optimum
direction. If it is reading too high, move the phone farther from the base unit antenna.
3. Record the number of signal bars (or range) _

your cell phone. Leave the phone
in the same place and pointing in the same direction for the following steps.
