Environmental tips
• In the dryer, laundry becomes fluffy and soft. Fabric softeners are not therefore needed when washing.
• Your dryer will function most economically if you: – always keep the ventilation slots on the base of the
dryer unobstructed;
Product description
Description of the appliance
– use the loading volumes specified in the pro-
gramme overview;
– ensure you have good ventilation in the installation
room;
– clean the micro-fine filter and fine strainer after eac h
drying cycle;
– spin the laundry well before drying.
Energy consumption depends on spinning speed set in washing machine. Higher spinning speed -
lower energy consumption.

Sorting laundry
• Sort by fabric type: – Cotton/linen for programmes in COTTONS pro-
gramme group.
– Mixtures and synthetics for programmes in SYN-
THETICS programme group.
• Sort by care label: The care labels mean:
Drying in the tumble dryer possible in principle
Drying at normal temperature
Drying at reduced temperature
Drying in the tumble dryer not possible
Important! Do not place in the appliance any wet laundry which is not specified on the care label as being suitable for tumble-drying. This appliance can be used for all wet laundry items which are labelled as suitable for tumble-drying.
• Do not dry new, coloured textiles together with lightcoloured laundry items. Textile colours may bleed.
6
• Do not dry cotton jersey and knitwear with the EXTRA programme. Items may shrink!
• Wool and wool-like textiles can be dried using the WOOL programme. Before the drying cycle spin the woollen textiles as well as possible (max. 1200 rpm). Only dry woollen textiles together of similar or the same material, colour and weight. Please dry heavy laundry items made of wool separately.
Preparing laundry
• To avoid laundry becoming tangled: close zips, button up duvet covers and tie loose ties or ribbons (e.g. of aprons).
• Empty pockets. Remove metal items (paper clips, safe ty pins, etc).
• Turn items with double-layered fabrics inside out (e.g. with cotton-lined anoraks, the cotton layer should be outermost). These fabrics will then dry better.
Important! Do not overload the appliance. Observe max. loading volume.

lights will flash. The drum turns alternately in both directions during drying. All drying programmes end with a 10 minute cooling phase. You may remove the laundry after this phase. If the door of the appliance or the small door at the bottom is opened while the programme is running, this button must be pressed again after closing the door in order to restart the programme from the point at which it was interrupted. This button must be depressed also after a power failure and after having reinserted the water reservoir, if it has been emptied in the middle of a programme after lighting up of light Empty Tank . In both cases the light of the Start/Pause button flashes to remind you that the start button needs to be pressed again.
Indicator lights
These lights indicate the following functions:
• Drying light: This light indicates that the appliance is in the drying phase.
• Cooling light: This light indicates that the appliance is in the cooling phase. At the end of drying, there is a 10 minute cooling phase to cool the laundry.
• End/Anticrease light: This light is on at the end of the cooling phase, during the anticreasing phase and at the end of the programme.
• Condenser light: It comes on every 80 cycles to remind you that the condenser must be cleaned.
• Filter light: This light illuminates at the end of the programme to remind you that the filters must be cleaned.
• Empty Tank light: This light indicates that the appliance is in the drying phase. This light comes on at the end of the programme to remind you that the water reservoir must be emptied out. If this light illuminates during a programme this means that the water reservoir is full. The buzzer sounds, the programme stops, the light of the Start/Pause button flashes. This light comes on also when the water reservoir is not inserted correctly.
Changing programme
To change a programme which has been selected by mistake once the programme has started, first turn the programme selector to - O OFF position. The programme is cancelled.
The programme can no longer be changed directly
once the programme has started. If nevertheless there is an attempt to change the programme on the programme knob or if an function button (excluding the
BUZZER button button starts flashing temporarily in red. The drying programme is not however affected by this (laundry protection).

) is pressed, led on the START/PAUSE
At the end of the programme
If the laundry is not removed at the end of the cycle, the dryer performs an anticreasing phase (duration: 30 minutes maximum). If you do not remove the laundry, the dryer will stop automatically at the end of the anticreasing phase. Lights End/Anticrease , Filter and Empty Tank remain lit and the buzzer sounds for 2 minutes. Turn the programme selector dial to “ O ” to switch the machine off. Remove the laundry from the drum and carefully check that the drum is empty. If you do not intend to carry out another wash, close the water tap. Leave the door open to prevent the formation of mildew and unpleasant smells.
If you open and then close the door before turning
the selector dial to “ O ” all the lights corresponding to the phases making up the performed programme come on.
After each use
• Clean the filters.
• Empty the water reservoir.
Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning lint filters
To ensure that the appliance works perfectly, the lint filters in the door and in front of the drum must be cleaned after every drying cycle.
Caution! Important. Never operate the dryer without the lint filter or with a damaged or blocked lint filter.
1) Only dryers with buzzer button
8
Page 9
1. Open loading door 2. After a period of time, a gleam due to detergent residue on laundry forms on the filters. To prevent this clean the filters with warm water using a brush. Remove the filter from the door pulling it out.
1. To open the door, push the catch as per picture. During the drying cycle or at the end, it is normal for water to be present on the surface of the condenser insertion.
2. Turn the two red stops downwards.
3. Use a damp hand to
clean the micro- fine filter, which is built into the lower part of the loading aperture.
4. Remove fluff from lint filter, preferably using a damp hand for this purpose. Replace the filter.
Cleaning heat exchanger
Clean the condenser when light Condenser comes on. The condenser is situated at the lower part of the cabinet behind a small door.
3. Pull out the condenser unit holding it at the handle .
Important! Do not use pointed objects or utensils to clean the spaces between the plates, as this could damage the condenser and make it permeable. Re-fit the condenser, turn the red stops upwards and close the door.
Important! Do not use this appliance if the condenser has not been fitted.
4. Clean it with a brush and rinse it under the shower if necessary. Also clean the outside, removing all fluff. Clean the rubber seal round the condenser cabinet and in the inner part of the small door with a damp cloth.
Emptying the water reservoir
Water extracted from the laundry condenses inside the machine and is collected in a reservoir. The reservoir must be emptied after each drying cycle to ensure efficient operation when the machine is next used. The pilot light Empty Tank reminds you this operation.

7. Close the small door and press the START/ PAUSE button again to allow the programme to continue.
Cleaning the drum
Caution! Do not use abrasives or stee l wool to clean the drum.
Lime in the water or cleaning agents may form a
barely visible lining on the inside of the drum. The degree to which the laundry has been dried is then no longer detected reliably. The laundry is damper than expected when removed from the appliance.
Use a standard domestic cleaner (e.g. vinegar-based cleaner) to wipe down the inside of the drum and drum ribs.
Clean control panel and housing
Caution! Do not use furniture cleaners or
aggressive cleaning agents to clean the machine.
Use a damp cloth to wipe down the control panel and housing.

Installation
Important! The appliance must be moved in vertical position for transport.
12
Appliance positioning
• It is recommended that, for your convenience, the ma-
chine is positioned close to your washing machine.
Page 13
• The tumble dryer must be installed in a clean place, where dirt does not build up.
• Air must be able to circulate freely all round the appliance. Do not obstruct the front ventilation grille or the air intake grilles at the back of the machine.
• To keep vibration and noise to a minimum when the dryer is in use, it should be placed on a firm, level surface.
• Once in its permanent operating position, check that the dryer is absolutely level with the aid of a spirit level. If it is not, raise or lower the feet until it is.
• The feet must never be removed. Do not restrict the floor clearance through deep pile carpets, strips of wood or similar. This might cause heat built-up which would interfere with the operation of the appliance.
Important!
The hot air emitted by the tumble dryer can reach temperatures of up to 60°C. The appliance must therefore not be installed on floors which are not resistant to high temperatures. When operating the tumble dryer, the room temperature must not be lower than +5°C and higher than +35°C, as it may affect the performance of the appliance.
Important! Should the appliance be moved, it must be transported vertically.
Important! The appliance must not be installed behind the lockable door, a sliding door a door with a hinge on the opposite side to that of the appliance.
Removing transport safety packaging
Caution! Before use all parts of the transport packaging must be removed.
3. Remove foil hose and polystyrene padding from the machine.
