2. Alarm Function
Upo n ar ming, y o ur a larm will be trigg e red by :
•
Light Impact ( f ir st stage shock sensor). The siren will chirp 4
times and the parki ng l ights will flash 4 time s .
•
Heavy impacts ( sec ond stage shock sensor). The siren will go off
and the park ing lights will fla sh for 60 se c o nds.
•Door opened. The siren will go o ff and t he pa rki ng l ights will fla sh
for 60 seconds
•If you have installed the Optional starter kill function, your vehicle will
not start with key when system is ar med.
Note: (Siren duration 30Sec. or 60Sec. refer to programming section)
3. Panic
In Case of emergency, and you want to attract attention. Press button
Panic.
4. Star t Function
Press button III for 2 seconds to start the engine. The engine will start.
The engine will run 15 minutes (25 min for diesel) or 25 minutes (40 min
for diesel). If the engine has a problem starting the system will retry 2
additional times. If the engine does not start after the 3rd attempt, please call
you Authorized Dealer.
Note: Runtime, please consult you Authorized Dealer.
Diagnosis for Remote Starting Error
If there is an error, you will hear three chirps when you attempt to remote
starting the vehicle. 2 seconds later, the cause for the error will be indicated
by the chirping and parking light flashes.

5. Remote Starting for the manual transmission
IMPORTANT
1. The transmissio n must be in the NEUTRAL posit io n.
2. The vehicle windows must be r olled up.
3. Do not set the reservation mode with any people in t he
vehicle.
4. Do not remote start with any people in the vehicle.
Note: T he syst em is not recommended for vehicle with
removable tops.
Reservatio n Mode must be set for manual transmissio n.
Step 1: After arriving at the destination, and before turning the
engine OFF, place the tr ansmission in the Neutral position.
Step 2: Remove your foot f r om the foot brake.
Step 3: Act ivate the parking brake.
Step 4 . Remove the ke y from the ignitio n. T he engine will r emai n
running.
Step 5. Exit the vehicle and close the door within two minutes f r om
step 3. The engine will shut off and reservation mode for the
remote starter is now complete.
Your vehicle is now ready f or remote st arting. However, t he
res e r vatio n mod e will be ca ncell ed if the doo r is opened or t he
CompuStar is put in Valet mode after t he reservatio n has bee n set.
Once cancelled, you will have to start the vehicle with the key and
repeat t he above 5 steps if you want to restore the reservation.
Note: If you try to remote start the ve hicle when the reservation
mode has not been set or cancelled, the system will not s tart. The
par k ing lights will fla sh three times

If you do not want to set the reservation mode, shut off t he engine
bef o r e y o u exit the ve hic le . The e ng ine will shut off if (a) you do
not activate your parki ng brake or pr ess the foot brake when you
turn your key to off position, (b) release your parking brake w hile
engine is running, or if ( c) you press button III between step 3 and
4.
6. Safety Shut Down
System has several Shut Down inputs. That will shut down the engine or
prevent from remote starting.
• the Hood is opened,
• the Brake is pressed,
• the Valet mode is entered, or
• the Valet switch is turned on.
7. Aux 1 & Aux 2
The system has Aux 1 & Aux 2 output to be utilized with optional features.
(Consult your Authorized Dealer)
8. Valet Mode
In Valet mode, the system will only activate Locks, Trunk, and the
Auxiliary only
9. Va le t Switc h
Turn On the switch to shut off the Remote Starter System only. Turn Off
By-Pass switch to activate remote starting function.
10. Shock Sensor
Dual Stage Shock Sensor will activate 30 sec. After the system is armed
(Locked). When 1st stage is triggered the siren will chirp 4 .
11. T imer Start
To enter the Timer Mode press buttons Unlock & Stop simultaneously for
½ second. The system will start every 1.5 Hrs. till Timer Mode is
deactivated and automatically canceled if the vehicle is started with the Key

or Remotely. To Exit Timer Mode press buttons Unlock & Stop
simultaneously for ½ second again.
12. Transmitter Lear ning Procedure
Your transmitter has been program med at the factory. However, if
you replace or add additional Remote, follow this procedure.
Steps 1: Put the system in Valet mode with key: Ignition on and off
five t imes with key within 10 s e c onds. The pa r k ing light w ill flash
once.
Step 2: Within 6 seconds, pr ess t he button Lock for a half-second.
Step3: The parking light w ill flash twic e to conf ir m St ep 2.
Step 4: Progr am 2nd transmitter or 3rd transmitter by pr essing any
button. The syst em will progr a m up to 3 tr a nsm itte rs. T he parking
light will fla sh once to conf irm Step 3.
13. Programming Opt ions with Transmitter
Step 1. Programming Option 1. Press buttons Lock and Unlock for 2
seconds. Programming Option 2: Press buttons Lock and Start f or 2
seco nds. T he siren w ill chirp once. Now y ou are in th e p r o g ramming
mode.
Step 2. Within 2 seconds, press Stop f or the number of times to go
to the option number you want to c hange. You will hear a chirp and
see the parking lights flash each time you press button Stop.
Step 3. Wait few sec o nds. Yo u will hear a numbe r of c hirp s and see
a number of parking light flashes corres ponding the number of the
option you want to change. If the number of chirps or flashes is not
what you wanted, go back to t he Step 1.
Step 4. Press Lock for the factory sett ing; one chirp and one flash.
Press Unlock for the Option Setting; two chirps and tw o flashes.
•If you hear a long chirp, you are going out of t he
programming mo de. Go back to the step one.
•If you want to change more optio ns go back t o t he step I.
