Updating Firmware of PUC²
This Document describes how to perform a firmware update on the PUC²
1. Install the PUC² drivers. To perform a firmware update the drivers are needed. If you don’t want to work with the drivers you can uninstall them by the same method.
2. From the folder PUC2_FW_updater copy the Puc2_FWUpdater.exe Program into a folder on your PC.
4. Connect the PUC² to the PC and start the Puc2_FWUpdater.exe program from the folder by double clicking on it .
5. If your device is connected you will get the following information:
6. The Updater shows always the current firmware installed in the device and the latest firmware available in the Folder.
7. Select the desired firmware version
8. Click now “write firmware” The update process will take only a few seconds.
9. After finishing you will get the following message
10. Unplug the device will create a new message
11. plug the device the device again and confirm one of the following options
12. Note the firmware updater will disable every audio stream on the PUC² as long as the Program is running. In order to continue using audio functions the updater must be closed.
13. Before closing the Updater you can verify the updated firmware with the file on the hard disk. Select the right file and click “Verify firmware”.
14. The following Message should appear.
15. In case of mismatch a message similar like below will appear.
16. In this case you should make sure that you have selected the right file. If the
right file was choose you should perform a new update.
