Thank you for your purchase of this Garden Building. This manual is designed to simplify the assembly process, however we recommend having an experienced carpenter involved in the project. Please read through
the entire manual before starting!
The Garden Building put together for this manual was a 10x14. This manual can also be used for other sizes. It
took 2 men, approximately 20 hours using the tools shown. However, it may take you longer since it will be a
new project for you.
Take a deep breath and get at it; the satisfaction and enjoyment of this Garden Building awaits!

You have purchased a product that consists of heavy, bulky pieces. With your purchase, you assume full
responsibility to have the necessary manpower and/or equipment available to unload the items. You also
agree that any damage that happens to the equipment, product, or individuals during the unloading
process, or during the entire construction process, is your responsibility , and neither the seller, nor the
manufacturer, will be held liable for any such damage.
In addition to the materials provided you will need approximately 9 packs of shingles, 5 gallons of paint
for siding, and 1 gallon of paint for the trim.

Unpack Floor Kit
Place the package as close to the
assembly location as possible.
Locate the parts to assemble the
oor joists.
Cut package bands on smaller package.
Assemble Sub-Floor
Push joists tightly together and
align ush with joist connector.
Remove parts from package and
organize like parts together.
Note: This is incorrect, the edges
should be aligned ush.
Assemble the joists using attaching the joist connector to each joist using
6 nails into each joist.
Flip the joist over.
Attach joist connector on opposite
side repeating previous steps.
Note: The 2 end joists will only
have one connector as shown.
Assemble remaining joists and lay-
out according to oor plan.
Add the band boards to oor layout
as shown.
Note: The bandboards have dado grooves precut to ensure proper joist
placement. The wider grooves should be placed at the edges of oor.
Begin by attaching the bandboard to the end joist using two 3” screws through the pre-drilled holes keeping
edges aligned ush as shown.
Continue attaching bandboard to
joists using two 3” screws per joist.
Angle screws at bandboard splice into oor joist. The boards at the splice
should be tight.
Continue until sub-oor is complete
as shown.
Before proceeding, ensure sub-oor is square. Suboor is square when corner to corner diagonal mea-
surements are equal.
Install Flooring
Note: When attaching sheeting to
oor joists, match this pattern.
Note: It is important for sheeting to
remain ush with edges of suboor
as shown.
Begin with front corner sheeting
piece.
Continue attaching sheeting to edge of sub-oor making sure to keep the
edges ush. Space nails 8-10” apart.
Attach sheeting to subfoor at corner
of suboor.
Before attaching middle joists,
mark sheeting to ensure joists are
spaced 24” apart.
Make sure joist at splice is centered on oor joist, then attach with nails

Continue attaching sheeting to sub-oor until all sheeting is complete. Floor should look like this when
complete.
Cut packaging bands.
Unpack package keeping like parts together. Make sure to keep work
area clear.
Assemble Back Wall
Layout framing for back wall. The
top and bottom plates have dado
grooves to ensure
Insert two 3” screws through the pre-drilled holes to attach bottom plate
to each wall stud. Make sure wall plates and oor joists remain ush.
Attach all wall studs to top and bottom plate.
Before fastening the double top
wall plate ensure that dado grooves
align with wall studs.
Use this pattern for the siding on
back wall.
Attach double top plate to wall plate using 3” screws through pre-drilled
holes.
Note: The siding should align at
splice between top plates.
Make sure siding is centered on
stud and overhangs by 1/2”
Attach siding at top corner. Make sure siding overhangs by 1/2”
and attach.
Attach siding to studs spacing nails
8-12” apart.
Place adjoining siding piece in
place.
Align edge of overlapping siding section with groove near edge of underlapping siding section.
Attach corner of siding section to
wall stud.
Align siding section along bottom
and at splice and attach along bottom.
Next ensure that top edge of siding section is aligned at splice of top
plates and is centered at splice wall stud, then attach.
After ensuring siding section is properly aligned, rmly attach siding section along all edges and into each wall stud spacing nails 8-12” apart.
Repeat previous steps and attach remaining siding sections.
Align a chalk line with edges of wall framing and snap a line.
Cut overhanging siding so siding is
ush with wall framing.
Repeat previous steps on opposite end of wall, so both walls are ush
with wall framing.
Lift and set wall, making sure edges of wall are ush with edges of oor.
Note: It is very important that one person is holding with wall in
place until wall is attached rmly to oor.
Note: See other steps and before
moving to step...
Note the bottom of siding should
overhang past edge of oor and
edge of wall should be ush with
edge of oor.
If wall isn’t ush with edge of oor,
you may be able to move it slight-
ly hitting rmly with hammer at
bottom edge.
Pull wall and siding tightly against
oor and attach bottom plate to
oor using 3” screws.
Next repeat previous steps at opposite corner.
Attach bottom edge of siding to oor spacing nails 6-8” apart along entire edge of wall.
Locate oor joists and attach bottom plate to oor joists using two 3”
screws per oor joist.
Lay out the front wall as shown. Note: Wall studs for the window
have dado grooves for window
framing.
Note: If you are done working for
the day it is unsafe to let wall as is
without rmly bracing it to oor.
Note: Wall studs by door are
pre-assembled.
Assemble wall framing repeating
previous steps.
Tip: Angle screws as shown to
secure door header to studs.
Tip: Secure door stud to door header as shown.
Lay out siding for door frame as
shown.
Attach siding to wall frame along top after it is properly aligned.
Make sure siding has 1” reveal
from edge of door frame.
Siding should also have 1” reveal
from top of top plate.
Before attaching bottom of siding
section, ensure that there is a 1”
reveal at bottom also.
Repeat previous steps for opposite siding piece.
First nail siding along bottom edge,
then nail rest of siding section to
wall frame repeating previous steps.
Begin at top corner for other door
siding piece.
Doorway is square when diagonal
measurements are equal.
Next align and install siding pieces above door.
Note: One piece will need to be cut to t.
Finally install remaining siding
piece repeating previous steps.
Cut siding ush with ends of wall
repeating previous steps.
Snap a line 4-5/8” from top of siding. See steps below...
Align bottom of 1x4 sot piece with chalk line and secure as shown.
Locate sot siding piece and overhang 1/2” over edge of wall as shown.
Attach next sot pieces repeating previous steps. Last sot piece should overhang by

Cut out bottom plate at door opening using a sawzaw.
Set front wall repeating previous steps.
Lay out and assemble side wall as
shown.
Note: Side walls are interchangeable place window on desired wall.
Lift and set side wall as shown. Align side wall framing ush with
end wall framing and attach using
3” screws.
Attach side wall along perimeter and to oor using 3” nails spaced 12”
apart.
Layout siding pieces for sidewall. Align siding ush with top and
edge of front wall siding.
Repeat previous steps for opposite
side wall.
Secure top corner using siding
nails.
Nail siding along top edge.
Ensure bottom corner of siding is properly aligned, then attach to siding
using siding nails.
Secure siding piece to wall spacing
nails 8-12” apart.
Install remaining siding pieces repeating previous steps.
Install siding on opposite end wall
repeating previous steps.
Run a screw 1” through siding at each corner of the window.
Use screws to snap a chalk line
outlining window frame.
Before proceeding remove screws
from corners of window.
Cut siding out of window frame using chalk line. Repeat steps for other window.
Note: Two rafters will be assembled using only one rafter gusset, the remaining rafters
will be assembled using two rafter gussets.

Assemble each end rafter by attaching one rafter gusset to rafters as shown, using a total of 5 nails per rafter.
After end trusses are assembled, place them against the wall. Assemble remaining trusses, using
a gusset on each side of the rafter.
Install Rafters
Begin with end rafter keeping
single gusset facing to interior of
shed.
Align rafter ush with edge of siding and front edge of sot.
Screw rafter to top plate on each
side using 3” screws. Repeat on
opposite end of rafter.
Continue installing rafters repeating rafter installation steps, until all
rafters are installed.
Note: Remember to attach both sides of rafters to top plate to ensure rafters are secured properly.
Install Gable Siding
Lay out gable siding pieces as
shown.
Align rst siding piece ush with edge of rafter and along edge of chalk line. Attach to side wall and rafters
using siding nails spaced 8-12” apart.
Note grooves in gable siding should align with grooves in wall siding.
Snap a line 5-1/2” below top edge of siding.
Install remaining gable siding pieces, then repeat on opposite gable.
Locate gable framing 2x4 and align with splice in siding.
Attach gable framing to wall top plate. Attach siding to gable framing.
Use 3” screws to attach framing
board to rafter.
Repeat steps at each siding splice.
Locate gable overhang sections. There is a front and back section. Slide gable overhang on top of end

Align gable sections at splice as

Attach gable overhang sections together, also attach overhang section

Align bottom edge ush with edge

Locate two extra 2x4’s, push them against siding, and fasten together. Fasten brace to wall at front and

Install OSB Roong
Locate rst two pieces of OSB
roong pieces.
Push rst section tight against and align ush with bottom edge of OSB of gable overhang, and attach to rafter
using 2” nails.
Mark o OSB every 2’.
Ensure OSB is centered on rafter
and properly aligned with rafter at
bottom edge and attach at bottom
corner.
Slide next OSB section tight against rst OSB section and install align
splice into rafter. Next attach at bottom to each rafter (do not attach to
end rafter until next step.
Ensure OSB is centered on rafter
and nail at top corner.
Attach bottom edge of OSB to rafters using 2” nails (note do not nail
until later).
CAUTION: DO NOT STAND
ON OSB UNTIL IT IS
PROPERLY FASTENED!
Pull gable section tight against OSB
and attach along edge.
Align rafters with marks on OSB to ensure they are spaced 24” apart, then attach OSB to rafters spacing nails
8-12 apart.
Install remaining OSB sections on front, then install OSB on back side of
roof repeating previous steps.
Center the long piece on wall and attach to rafters using two trim nails per rafter.
Locate the fascia trim for front.
Mark and cut smaller trim pieces to t.
Attach trim to rafters using two trim nails per rafter.
Repeat steps for fascia trim on back wall.
Cut gable trim ush bottom edge of fascia trim. Locate two corner trim pieces.
Begin with back trim piece, keeping
it ush with front of siding.
Attach trim to side wall using 2’ trim nails spaced 6-10” apart along edge
of trim.
Continue installing corner trim pieces as shown for each corner.
Locate the gable vents, spread construction adhesive to back of vent
frame.
Install window using 1-1/2” screws as shown.
Insert vent into opening and attach to gable using four 2” screws.
Locate the window trim pieces.
Install remaining trim pieces as then repeat for remaining window.
Align side trim on window frame and attach using trim nails.
Locate the door trim pieces.
Align trim ush with edge of siding and attach using 2” trim nails spaced along edge of trim board.
Measure and mark opposite door at 72”, then repeat at bottom of frame.
Align opposite trim board with
mark and ush with bottom edge of
siding the attach.
Lastly attach the top trim piece. Install diamond plate in door using 3” nails.
Install left door using black painted screws into door trim as shown.
Align and install right door.
Locate door hardware
Insert handle as shown.
Attach back handle as shown using Allan wrench
Attach handle to door using 2” black painted screws.
Locate window shutters. Start 6 white screws in shutter. Attach shutter to siding as shown.
Attach remaining shutters.
Attach drip edge as shown using roong nails.
Note: You will need to cut drip edge at roof peak to fold across peak.
Congratulations, the unit is complete and ready for shingles.
