PORTABLE TILLER
(GARDEN CULTIVATOR)

Announcements of using the tiller
I. Correct Operation And Maintenance
1.Correctly connect the aluminium pipe at the head of the tiller to working
shaft.Adjustable the idling speed of the engine and working speed.
2.According to the power used,supply with the appropriate gas and oil,make sure it
will work regularly under mixture.
3.When it works, you should keep the rotary machine off the ground. You should
combine with the PTO, add the rotary velocity to the normal speed, then put down the
rotary machine, make the blade gradually into the appropriate deep of the soil. Don't
combine PTO or down the rotary machine rapidly after the blade is in the soil, in case
that the blade bends or break off.
4.When it is working ,you'd better work slowly, in this way, you can ensure the
quality of the product ,not only break up the clods but also relieve the wear of the
parts. You should pay attention to listening to the rotary velocity , and make sure
whether there is noise and metal striking sound or not. And observe the clods and
tilling depth. If there are any un-normal problems, shut off the engine and check it
rightly before working again.
5.When you want to turn the tiller around, you should stop working, and lift the
rotary machine, make the blade off the ground, and slow down the engine speed, in
case damage the blade. When lifting the rotary machine, the dip angle should be less
than 30°,or the machine will make noise and break down much earlier.
6.When backing-up, going across the field and move to another field, you should lift
the tiller to the highest position, and shut off the engine in case of damaging the parts.
If moving to the further place, you should fix the rotary machine with locking device.
7.Please don't touch the blade, nylon head, or gear box in case of getting hurt.
8.You should maintain the tiller. Clear the soil and grass on the blade , check all the
link parts whether tight or not, add lubricant to the all the points and add Hmp grease
to transmission case in case of injuring harder.9.Add Hmp grease into transmission
case with refueling gun each 15 hours regularly.
10.Please check and clean the air cleaner regularly and check the spark plug to
ensure the machine working better.
II.Announcement before using
1.Coordinate the track cross level, stop the tiller with rotary machine on the flat
ground, and get the rotary machine lower, make the blade is 5cm from the ground.
Observe the height between the both sides is whether same or not, to ensure the
consistent of the knife shaft level ,evenly deep ploughing.
2.Keep the tiller in the good balance, and lower it to the need deep ploughing.
Observe the true joint angle and the axle whether close to the level or not. If the true
joint angle is not level, you can coordinate it, make the rotary machine in the level
place.
3.Lift the height. When it is working, the true joint angle shouldn't be over than
10°,and shouldn't be over than 30° when it is turned. So for the lift of the tiller, you
can fix limit at the handle with the screw; When using the high coordination, you
should pay attention when lifting .For an example, when lifting the tiller again, you
should cut off all the motive Power in the transmission case.
4. Check and fix the safety device, screws and nuts. Make sure the fuel don’t leak.
Especially check screws of gear case, fix the blade with screws and tightened the screws
up.
5 make sure there are no cables, stones, metal objects or any other danger things.
6. Check the blade and keep the blade no breach, crack or bending. If the blade
sounds abnormal, please check and fix it.
7. Take the tiller off the ground or dangerous place before operating.
8. Make sure that no person is around and the blade is off the ground before starting
the machine.
9. Open the choke before starting the machine. When the engine is hot, choke
open is not necessary.
10. Draw the starting rope slowly until it is stuck. After the rope recoil, draw it
quickly out to start the engine.
11. When workload is low,adjust the throttle to idle setting. Gunned the engine when using
the machine.
12. do not start the engine indoors.
III.Safety instructions
1.The operators must be pre-job training. Please read the operation instruction before
using the machine.
2. The following persons shall not be allowed to operate the machine: the drunk
person, the tired person and the sick person.
3 please wear long-sleeve clothing and long trousers. Do not wear wide-sleeve
clothing, short-sleeve clothing, skirt, scarf, tie or wide trousers.
4. wear labor protection products such as brimmed cap, protection glasses, gloves and
anti-slip shoes.
5. when refilling the tank always turn off the engine first. After 3 minutes refill the
tank when the engine is cool down. If any fuel spillage occurs during refueling. Use a
dry rag to wipe up spills before turning the engine back on again. After refueling,
screw the fuel cap back tightly onto the fuel tank and then carry the machine to safety
place to start the engine.
6.don’t smoke when operating or near the engine to prevent the fire.
7.when doing maintenance and adjustment, turn off the engine and take the
high-tension wire of spark plug.
8. keep other persons 3 meters away from work area to prevent the damage.
9. attention to the idle speed and make sure the blade don’t turn when you release
the throttle.
10.Fix the safety device before using the machine.
11. when the spinning blade contacts a solid object, the engine must be shut down
and check the blade. If the blade is broken, please change it.
12. after long time using, take a break and inspect whether the parts are tight specially
the blade.
13. when using the machine, gripped the handle tightly. Always be sure to maintain a
steady posture.
14. when you finish using or you want to move to another place, you must shut down the
engine first.
