SAFETY AND DANGER NOTICES
‘NOTICES’
CAUTION
SAFETY NOTICE: Please read the notices and instructions carefully before
using the desk for the first time. This is to reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric
shock, personal injury and damage to the equipment. Keep these notices in a
convenient location to enable you to refer to them quickly when needed. You
should also make everyone else who uses the desk aware of the content of
these notices. Everyone who uses this product, or who carries out installation,
service or repair work, should read these instructions carefully and follow
them.
ATTENTION: When using electrical appliances, always pay attention to

The Yaasa Desk Basic has a collision detection system, the Intelligent System
Protection or ‘ISP’). The ISP function serves to minimise damage and injuries
caused by crushing. The user remains responsible for using this product
properly.
This desk can be only used by children from the age of 8 and by
people with impaired physical, sensory or mental faculties or a lack
of experience and knowledge if they are being supervised or have
received instruction in the safe use of this device, and understand
the potential dangers that can result from improper use. Children
below the age of 8 or people with impaired physical, sensory or mental
faculties or a lack of experience and knowledge must be kept away from this
desk with its electrical height adjustment, its control units and its keypads.
The desk must only ever be used for the purposes described in the manual.
Unauthorized use must be avoided!
Two people must be involved in setting up and moving the desk. Pay
particular attention when moving heavy parts, and to any resultant nip or
pinch points. Use and pay attention to the manual when setting up and
installing the desk.
The electrical height adjustment function must only be used after the desk
has been installed completely and correctly. The table must never be used as
a lifting device.
The screw connections on the desk must be tightened firmly and then
checked at regular intervals.
Never modify, extend or convert the desk and its constituent parts. Never use
parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
Never open up electronic components, housings or covers because there is
the risk of electric shock. Maintenance and repair work may only be carried
out by trained specialist personnel.
When using the desk, never sit or stand on it, and never crawl under it or lie
underneath it while the desk is being used by anyone else. When resetting
(moving the table completely downwards) there is a danger of pinching
between the table leg and the table foot!

EN
Whenever the desk is moving up or down, stay at a safe distance to prevent
any collisions and/or crushing injuries between desk and surrounding items
and/or people. The person operating the desk needs to have an unrestricted
range of view of the desk and its surrounding area in order to observe its
movements and to prevent collisions, damage and injuries when adjusting the
desk height upwards or downwards.
Never place items under the desk that are higher than 60 cm. When
operating the desk, pay particular attention to people and window frames,
radiators, office chairs, cabinets and other items of furniture.
There is a danger of falling through the power cord. Ensure that the power
cable is long enough to suit the height adjustment range of the desk, and is
able to move freely. Always keep the connection cable away from heated
surfaces. Also ensure the same two things for any other cables attached to
any other devices on the desk.
The desk must only ever be used in dry interiors and in an environment free
of damp or high ambient humidity. Keep liquids away from the electronic
components of the desk.
Before cleaning and/or maintaining the desk, unplug all cables from their
power sockets.
Do not use the desk if the connecting cable or plug is damaged, if the
desk is not functioning as described in the manual, if the desk has
dropped or toppled over and is damaged or has got wet.
