Unit removal:

1.remove front control panel.

2.slightly insert the key into the slot and gently to release.

3.separate the sleeve from the unit, keep release key in a safe place as you may need for future removal of unit.

No power.

Symptom

BASIC OPERATION

1. OPEN BUTTON Press it to detach the removable faceplate.

2. VOL + / VOL Press it to adjust volume level.

3. PWR BUTTON Press it to turn on the unit. Press it again to turn off.

4. MUTE BUTTON Press it to mute down sound. Press it again to release this mode and

recover previous volume level.

5. SEL BUTTON & VOL + / VOL Press to cycle the audio mode through volume,bass,treble, balance,and fader.

Use the VOL+/VOL- buttons to adjust the selected mode.When the mode has not been adjusted for several seconds the display returns to the radio or CD display. A.Volume: Adjust volume level by using Vol+ / Vol- buttons. Note: The unit is initially set to volume mode. B.Bass:Press SEL button once. Adjust the bass level by using Vol+ / Vol buttons. C.Treble:Press SEL button twice. Adjust treble level by using Vol+ / Vol- buttons. D.Balance:Press SEL button three times. Adjust sound balance between left and right speakers by using Vol+ / Vol- buttons. E.Fader:Press SEL button four times. 6. LOC BUTTON(FOR REMOTE)

Press LOC button on the front panel or on the remote controller for distance reception when you are located at weak signal location. Depress it for stronger signal.

7. MO/ST BUTTON(FOR REMOTE)

Press it to select STEREO or MONO.

8. BND/TA BUTTON

Press repeatedly in radio mode to cycle bands between:

This is to select Treble or Bass according to your needs.

This is to let the user set Brightness, Contrast, Hue and Saturation of the

picture by pressing the arrow left/right button. Press Enter button to confirm to

change the OSD display on the television screen. Note: Only on TV/AV mode, the Video setup is available. When DVD playback, the picture setup is unavailable.

a. BRIGHTNESS

optical output signal of the unit will be the same as the digital signal (RAW format) of the playing disc. At the same time, the power amplifier you connected must have the decode function of Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG.

3) SPDIF/PCM: When the player is connected with the 2 channel, digital stereo amplifier, please select this item; when the playing disc which is recorded by Dolby Digital or MPEG recording system, the analog or optical output will be modulated to 2 channel output by PCM.

C. AUDIO SETUP

a. AUDIO OUT This is to activate the audio output from ANALOG/OPTICAL mode to SPDIF/RAW mode or SPDIF/PCM mode.

9-14. PRESET STATION & STOP / SCAN/REP/RDM/OSD BUTTON RADIO MODE:

A.To memorize the current frequency, press any one of the six preset buttons [M1-M6] on the front panel or [1-6] on the remote controller hold for more than 2 seconds. B.To recall the preset memory, press one of the preset buttons [M1-M6].

CDP MODE:

A.M1/STOP button Press it on the front panel or STOP button on the remote controller during playback, the unit will stop playing.

B.Press M2/SCAN button to scan disc. a. In the state of VCD/CD disc playing, press the M2/SCAN button on the front panel to play the previous 10 seconds part of each track/chapter on disc. (depending on the disc used for VCD) b. In the state of DVD/MP3 disc playing, the M2/SCAN button is not available.

C.Press M3/REP button to select repeat mode as follows: DVD: REPEAT: [ OFF / CHAPTER / TITLE ] VCD / CD: REPEAT: [ OFF / REP1 / REP ALL ] a. Continuously repeat at the current chapter/track, when selected REP ONE mode. b. Select REP-ALL mode to continuously repeat all chapter/track on the current disc. c. REPEAT feature does not support VCD2.0 (with PBC ON).

D.Press M4/RDM button to play disc in random. a. In the state of VCD/CD/MP3 disc playing, press the M4/RDM button on the front panel to play in random. (depending on the disc used for VCD)

VCD / CD / MP3: RANDOM: [ OFF / ON ] b.In the state of DVD disc playing, the M4/RDM button is not available.

CDP MODE:

E. Press M5/OSD button on the front panel or OSD button on the remote

controller during playback to display the contents of the current disc on the screen.

Examples for DVD:

A) Press M5/OSD for the first time:

15. A.P(AMS) BUTTON

IN RADIO MODE: When shortly press the A.P button on the front panel or the AMS button on the remote controller, the radio will search for each preset station. When the field strength level is more than the threshold level of stop level, the radio is holding at that preset number for a few seconds with releasing mute, and then searches again. In FM band, FM 1, FM 2 and FM 3 is checked one by one at a time. When long press the AMS button (more than 1 second), the radio searches

Title Number, Total Title Number, Chapter Number, Total Chapter Number of this Title of the disc currently being played will be shown on the screen, along with the elapsed time.

B. LANGUAGE SETUP

This setup page includes all the items of OSD Language, Audio Language, Subtitle Language and Menu Language features. The details please refer to LANGUAGE SETUP MENU.

from the current frequency and checks the signal strength level until 1 cycle search is finished. And then 6 strongest stations are preset to the corresponding preset number. The AMS operation is implemented in the each band of selected band. When the AMS operation is finished, the radio executes the preset scan.

16. DISP(TIME) BUTTON

Press to display TIME/FM FREQUENCY/PTY/PS.

17. MODE/AF BUTTON Press it repeatedly to select RADIO/DISC/USB/SD/AUX IN. Press and hold for AF,if the signal becomes weak then the AF function will re-tune to a stronger frequency. If using the AF function noise can be heard then dsiable and try later.

18. P-EQ BUTTON Press it to turn to equalization function and to select desired audio mode.

There are four kinds of modes,JAZZ,CLASSIC,POP,ROCK.

19.PLAY(PAUSE)/PTY BUTTON

In CD mode press to PLAY,press again to PAUSE.In radio mode press to activate the PTY.

B. Short press the / button during playback to skip to next track or back one track.

IN RADIO MODE: (TUNE/TRACK / )

Press UP or DN button on the remote controller or the TUNE/TRACK button on the front panel to manually tune up or down for your desired station. Press them and hold for more than 2 seconds to automatically tune up or down for the stronger station.

In the above picture, the right menu is the left menu s sub-menu; using the cursors by using the arrow buttons to select the desired song, and press enter button to play. Note: this function is only available in stop mode.

Press these two buttons on the remote control to choose 2x, 4x,8x,16x times fast forward/reverse.

This player can play discs recorded in either PAL or NTSC format. Select NTSC format when you connect to NTSC TV. Select PAL format when you connect to PAL TV. If you select AUTO, the unit will auto select the format (PAL/NTSC) according to your TV system.

Mp3 disc is playing as the format of DIRECTORY by DIRECTORY. For example:

< L/R soundtrack switch Press AUDIO button to choose L/R or STEREO soundtrack.

< Multi-audio function

DVD disc can be recorded different language soundtrack. Press audio button to change language during playing. In VCD mode, press audio button to choose L/R or stereo track.

< Subtitle language function

Press sub-t button during playing. Each time the button is pressed number of the caption language changes on sequential order. Note: only the disc recorded multi-subtitle language can get this function. The digital sign on the DVD packet shows the subtitle language number.

Notes: The language number is different according to the disc. Some disc

only contain one language soundtrack. When no different language

TITLE Menu Function

A. DVD: If the DVD has multiple titles recorded on the disc. It can select preferred title from the title menu to start playback. a. Press TITLE during playback. The title menu is displayed. b. Press the cursor button shown in TV screen, select preferred title by the cursor button and confirmed by ENTER key. B. VCD: Press MENU button while the disc is playing, you can switch between PBC on and PBC off mode.

Multi-subtitle Language Function (For DVD only)

Press SUBTITLE during playback. Each time the button is pressed, number of the subtitle language changes in sequential order. Notes:

- The language number is different according to the disc.

- Some discs only contain one subtitle language.

- When no different subtitle languages are recorded, INVALID KEY will be displayed at screen left top corner.

Press ANGLE during playback. Each time the button is pressed, number of the angle changes in sequential order. Notes: The angle number is different according to the disc. The function only work for discs having scenes recorded at different angles. When no different angles are recorded, INVALID KEY will be displayed at screen left top corner.
