B100 -MF-SA is a simple one-door standalone biometric ) system. The reader canPROX and Proximity(Mifare store up to 97 finger templates and 97 , it has one relay output and one exit button input. Ifproximity cards secure installation is needed, the reader can be connected to remote relay unit at secured area, which also plays the roleof push buttonrequest-to-exit . Complete setup and programming can bedone by scrolling and tapping onthe sensor.
The sensor incorporates dedicated sensing hardware to facilitate the detectionof “spoofing” attacksbased on fake fingers. This data is embedded into the image data stream, and is processed on the processor. The system is capable of detecting and defeating well-known fake finger mechanisms, such as molded “gummy” fingers.
The coating on thesur face of theTouchChip sensor provides protectionfrom scratching and abrasion due to normalcontact withfingertips and anyincidental contactwith fingernails.
The reader is capable of working in so called “Finger on Card” mode, where the authentication is done by verifying thatthe biometricdata stored on thecard matchesthe finger being placedon thereader.
Do notinstall thedevice and cablingclose toa source ofstrong electro-magneticfields likeradio-transmitting antenna. Do notplace thedevice near orabove heatingequipments. If cleaning,do notspray or splashwater orother cleaning liquidsbut wipe itout withsmooth cloth ortowel. Do notlet childrentouch the devicewithout supervision. Note that if thesensor is cleaned by detergent, benzene or thinner, the surfacewill be damaged and the fingerprintcan't be entered. If the biometric reader is installed andused outdoor, the reader MUST be fitted with the MCD-MINIpolycarbonate cover available inour accessories in orderto protect thesensor from direct rainfall. The operating temperatureof the product is between -15ºC-+60ºC.Ifthereader is installedin an environment wherethe temperature can dropbelow -10ºC or/and if the sensor could only be exposed to direct sunlight, itis strongly recommended to install the reader inside a third party sealed wallmount box (fitted withadditional heater if very low temperature) tokeep a constantsensor level performance. XPR™ cannotguarantee thefunctionality of theproduct ifmeasures andadvice beforeare not followed. It is also strongly recommended to use double technology biometric readers when use outdoor to offer first higher security butalso thepossibility to usedifferent readersdepending onusers.
