Software

Install MacroWorks .3.1 from the enclosed disc or download the newest
version from: xkeys.com/PISupport/SoftwareMacroWorks.php

IMPORTANT

To put this XK-24 into programming mode, hold down the programming button
(the black button on the top edge of the X-keys) while plugging it into a USB
port. After MW3.1 writes your macros to the XK-24 memory, unplug the XK-24
to return it to keyboard mode.

Once programmed, the XK-24 may be plugged into any system and it will play
back programmed keystrokes just like any standard USB keyboard.

Backlighting

The XK-24 has two backlighting colors (red and blue). The factory setting is
blue at full intensity. You may change the intensity level or turn on or off either

set of LEDS with “Hardware Default Backlighting” settings under the Unit Data
tab in MW3.1. Be sure to click the “Save Backlighting” button to write your

settings to the XK-24s memory.

Compatibility

X-keys USB devices are compatible with any computer or host system which
supports USB HID Keyboard input. For more information contact our

Identifying the Keys

Select appropriate icons or use the blank side of the legend sheet to create
your own key legends. The keycaps snap off with a fingernail or small
screwdriver. Apply the label under the keycap, and replace it. The key caps
hold a legend 0.575" wide and 0.5" high (14.6mm x 12.7mm). Other options
are available for printing legends for multiple units. Contact our Sales

Horizontal and Vertical Double-keys

The included double-keys replace two single keys on the X-keys. To install a
double key cap, remove two adjacent keys with the provided key-puller.
Pressing the key puller over an adjacent key and working it under the cap to
be removed is the recommended method. Press the double-key in place over
the two exposed switch stems.

Key Blockers

Unused keys may be replaced with optional key blockers and identified as
blocked keys in MW3.1.

Feet

The included angled feet may be snapped in to the bottom of the XK-24 to
give it a slight tilt in either portrait or landscape orientation.
