1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) has advantages of low no ise, high gain, wide bandwidth, efficie nt p u mp and stable working condition etc. It is used in CATV system widely. As the transmitting nodes in the CATV system increase constantly, fiber to the home (FTTH) and fiber to t he building ( FTTB) are popula r. When the EDF A is used to cascade d amplification in the CATV system, the C/N deterioration is serious, so the EDFA must have high saturated output power, low distortion, while the saturated output power of EDFA is usually between 13dBm and 23dBm, output power limit is about 27dBm. In addition, the gain fiber of EDFA is single-mode and single-clad fiber, pump is directly coupled into fiber core, while fiber core is very small, it is required the pump is single-mode. The output power of single-mode semi-conductor laser is just several hundred’s mW, and it is limited by pump area, high pow e r pu mp ca n’t be couple d, so it has a serious effect on the output of fiber laser. In the face of this kind of situation, an international new double-clad fiber has been developed. It takes advantage of envelope pump technology, w hich overco mes shortco mings of the single-mode fiber, and makes outp ut power increased one to two orders of magnitude, and promotes the development of high-power fiber amplifier. The facto ry o v e rco me s m ulti ple tech ni c al diff ic ulties, and then developing erbium ytterbium co -doped double-clad fiber amplifier which is fit to CATV system to adapt current require of FTTH and FTTB. This series of products produced by JDSU and Lumics etc---the famous brand semiconductor fi rms as the pu mpin g sou rce. In the inte rior o f th e m a chine is eq uip ped with the light power export stable circuit and laser thermoelectric cooling device temperature stability control circuit to ensure optimal machine performance and long-life laser stability. The microproce ssor software mo nitors the lasers’ working state, the Digital Panel (VFD) displays the operating parameters. Once the laser operating parameters deviate from the permissible range set by the software, micro-processing will automatically turn off laser power, red light goes on to warn, digital panel prompts cause of trouble s., a detailed report o f the device par ameters please read "instruction s."
2. PRODUCT FEATURE
2.1 High Quality
Adopt multimode large power pump laser, power is optimized reasonably by software, and can most unlimite d reduce N F of EDF A, it is compar able wit h EDF A. The fe ature can make system achieve excellent CNR.
2.2 Reliability
19” 1U standard rack, built-in high-performance doub le switching power supply, it can work at 85 ~ 265V AC City Network Voltage, As well as an optional D C48V power suppl y (reservations required); Chassis cooling can be autom ati c co n trol by tem pe rature.
2.3 Intuitive
The pump laser is the most expensive machine components, machine equipped with microprocessor monitors the working state of the laser and the LCD displays the

operating parameters.
2.4 Network Type
Select All-piece status monitoring transponder guarantees to meet the national standard and be compatible with the SCTE HMS standard, it enables network management to monitor capabilities.
2.5 Power Supply
Double hot pluggable power supply: switching power supply is pluggable type with aluminum pro fi le str uc tural, it helps greatly to cooling and replacement. Besides, it can also make double power supply cold-heat backup.
2.6 Adjustable Output Power
It can adjust the range of output optical power (downwards -3dB), it is required specification when user orders.
2.7 High output power The maximum output power can up to 6W(33dBm)
2.8 Integrate WDM
Some models can integrate WDM, it can convenience to be used in GPON and EPON.
