Xerox Impika Evolution, Impika Compact, FreeFlow Print Server Specifications

Xerox® FreeFlow® Print Server for Xerox® Impika® Inkjet Presses
Benchmark power, quality and control for continuous feed inkjet workflows.
The FreeFlow Print Server for Xerox Impika Inkjet Presses continues the FreeFlow legacy by delivering the perfect blend of performance and quality while maintaining a commitment to industry standards. The FreeFlow Print Server supports both PDF and IPDS printing along with native JDF/JMF support, providing seamless integration into your print manufacturing process.
Performance.
The FreeFlow Print Server was built to be flexible and scalable. You can choose the number of servers that are dedicated to RIPping jobs for print. The Base configuration of four RIP servers is suitable for most transactional documents, while the Peak configuration of 14 RIP servers is built to handle the more complex documents associated with graphics communications jobs.
Quality.
The FreeFlow Printer Server offers state-ofthe-art color management controls to deliver consistency within a run, between printers and to industry color standards. Patented color calibration technology helps you deliver the best quality output. Base color management capabilities include spot color management and editing as well as color profiling. Advanced color management controls allow you to make unique decisions at any time within a job.
Simplicity.
The intuitive, easy to use interface is the result of years of development and refinement. Assess job status and monitor your workflow at a glance with a highly graphical display that includes print configuration, toner level and network status, among others.
Plus, you can easily configure and customize the interface to focus on what you use most often—including shortcuts that provide onetouch ease of use.
Better integration.
JDF/JMF is the print industry standard for information exchange between systems. Simply put, JDF describes a job from conception through delivery. The Xerox FreeFlow Print Server includes a native JDF/JMF gateway that allows the Impika Inkjet Press to accept and share information about jobs as they are processed. Standardizing the exchange of data leads to better information availability, which leads to better operational decisions so you can work smarter, not harder.
Better security.
Information security is at the forefront of current concerns, which is why the FreeFlow Print Server security model is so robust. Security features span the operating system level to the user interface, including specific encryption algorithms, data overwrite procedures and configurable and customizable user permission models. You and your customers can rest assured that your data is safe with FreeFlow Print Server.

Adobe® PDF/VT explained:
PDF/VT (VT = Variable Transactional) is a newer PDF standard from Adobe that makes it easier to represent and ultimately print documents that contain variable content. This standard is an extension to the current PDF standard which is rapidly becoming the dominant page description language in the marketplace due to its portability and advanced feature set with respect to complex graphics.
What does this mean to you? As software and workflow solutions begin to adapt to and implement this standard, so to must your printers. Xerox and Adobe have been working together for more than 20 years. Xerox® FreeFlow® Print Servers are all Adobe certified and implement the latest version of the Adobe® PDF Print Engine® so you can be confident that your job is printed exactly as it was designed to look every time.
