Problem:
The User can touch the HOT Booklet Paper Path Motor when the Booklet Maker is pulled fully forward out of the
2101.
Description:
During Booklet Maker operation, the Booklet Paper Path Motor can heat up enough to feel hot to the touch. If a jam occurs during the Booklet Maker operation, and the User pulls the Booklet Maker completely out of the 2101, the User could be injured when reaching behind the Booklet Maker to clear the paper jam. Figure 1 shows the location of the Booklet Paper Path Motor.

Booklet Paper Path Motor may be Hot

Corrective Action:
Please inform all Customers that have a 2101 with Booklet Maker of this safety hazard.
Engineering will be issuing a Label, warning the User that the motor is hot.. A Service Representative will install this Label as soon as possible on all 2101s with a Booklet Maker.
