Information

1.1 Introduction

The purpose of this Launch Directions Document (LDD) is to provide the Operating Companies (OPCOs) with the program information necessary to achieve a Worldwide Quality launch of the Xerox Travel Scanner 150, developed by Visioneer, Inc., a Xerox Trademark Licensee. In turn, it will also provide the program team with the launch implementation plans from the different Operating Companies.

The LDD is an integrated and coordinated effort across the functional areas and is supported by all of the launch team members. The information in this document is to be used by the Operating Companies on the preparation of their quality launch plans. Launch team members will interact directly with each Operating Company to assure a complete understanding of the information and contents of this document and work any areas where issues/gaps may exist within the Operating Company.

1.2 Product Objective

Managing paper while on the road just got a whole lot easier with the new Xerox Travel Scanner 150, a small, USB powered mobile scanner that handles all the document management needs of business travelers. The Xerox Travel Scanner 150 is a complete mobile scanning solution that now includes automatic intelligent image correction, a sleek new design and links to easily upload scanned documents to the cloud.

1.3 Product Description

The Xerox Travel Scanner 150 measures only 297mm / 11.7”. The Xerox Travel Scanner 150 can scan and convert documents into searchable Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) files that are easily organized, shared and protected. It is designed to automatically save, at the user’s option, any scanned item into a text-searchable PDF file, while at the same time maintaining the appearance of the original document.

Visioneer OneTouch 4.6 Functionality

Visioneer OneTouch is an easy-to-use utility that connects with the scanner for automatic scanning when paper is inserted in the scanner. With a powerful set of scanner settings, the document is automatically scanned and sent to email, or Word, or a printer, or simply a file folder.

The resolution, color depth, file format and paper size are all preset, but of course you can change them at any time. In the newest release of OneTouch 4.6, many of the features of the PowerTools add-one for OneTouch have been integrated into an easy to use, single interface.
