GETTING TO KNOW THE X0HA-REP AMP
The input jack socket–(music symbol). To connect to your portable
ne end
of this cable into this jack and the other end into the headphon
e or
line output jack of your portable player.
The output jack socket–(headphone symbol). This is where you
plug in your
IEM’s. This socket accepts a standard 3.5mm (1/8”mini) stereo jack headphone plug. You may connect headphone sets with impedance ranging from 16 ohm to 300 ohm. Consult your IEM manufacturer specification chart to determine your headphone imp
edance.
The X0HA-REP is not recommended for
IEM’swith impedance
exceeding 300 ohm.
The volume control and power switch-The volume control has an
integral power switch, when rotated to the “Off”position the power is turned off. To turn on the X0HA-REP simply rotate the volume control clockwise, you will hear a click and if the battery is at the co
rrect voltage level the blue power LED will light up. Adjust the IEM volume level to your desired listening level by rotating the volume control knob clockwise to increase and counter clockwise to decrease the volume level.
NOTE:
It is normal for the X0HA-REP to become slightly warm when using it with An AC adapter. Do not place the X0HA-R near a heat source or in a small confined space when operating it using an AC adapt
er.

This user guide.
X0HA-REP kits may additionally include:
-
AC adapter -120VAC input, 12VDC 200mA output
-
9V 280mAH NiMH rechargeable battery
The blue power LED–With the power turned on this LED has two
functions as follows: If the LED is on then battery level is goo
d; If the
LED is off the battery level is below the normal operating limit
of 6.7V
and the battery should be replaced or recharged.
The DC power jack–This jack socket is located on the right side of the
X0HA-REP. It accepts a standard DC plug with 3.5mm barrel and 1.3mm pin.
CAUTION: DC plugs of the wrong size can permanently damage the DC power jack in the X0HA-REP. Ensure the AC adapter’s DC plug is inserted all the way into the X0HA-REP DC jack before connecting it to AC power. If not this could damage the rechargeable battery.
The DC jack centre pin is +and barrel is -.
The X0HA-REP is protected against reverse polarity to prevent damage to the internal electronics. A standard non-regulated AC adapter with 12VDC 200mA output will power the X0HA-REP. The 12VDC adapter can also charge a 9V NiMH Battery when installed. Refer to Section 4 of this user guide t
o determine the correct switch settings when using the X0HA-REP with a 9V NiMH rechargeable battery.
The 9V battery compartment, installing and removing batteries
-
(see next page) The battery access door is located on the bottom
rear
end of the X0HA-REP.
To remove the battery
first remove the belt clip if installed by applying
gentle downward pressure as indicated by the arrow on the belt c
lip then
lift away the belt clip. Open the battery compartment door as sh

USING WITH 9V BATTERIES
The X0HA-REP will work with any standard 9V battery.
Typical battery life based on continuous use:
NiMH 9V 280mAH rechargeable = 13 hours; Alkaline 9V = 26 hours; Lithium Long-Life 9V = 44 hours; Standard high power 9V = 12 hours.
Battery Select Switch–WARNING: Before installing batteries,
select
correct battery type. Refer to the diagram below and battery sel
ect switch label in battery compartment for correct setting. Batteries other than NiMH can overheat and leak if the battery s
elect switch is set incorrectly.
Charging 9V NiMH batteries:
The 12VDC adapter can be used to charge
a 9V NiMH battery while installed in the amplifier.
A 9V 280mAH NiMH
battery will be fully charged in approximately 10 hours.
There is no danger of overcharging and the battery will charge w
hile the
amplifier is operating or turned off.

ADJUSTING SOUND LEVELS
Adjusting the volume level.
The volume control on the X0HA-REP adjusts the signal level to the output amplifier stage that drives the
IEM’s. Before powering up the X0HA-REP, set the volume level on your playback device to about 50% and start playing a music track. Turn on the X0HA-REP, insert your
IEM’s, now adjust the X0HA-REP volume setting to a desired level. If need be increase the volume setting on your playback device and adjust the volume setting on the X0HA-REP accordingly to reach your desired listening level.
WARNING: Extended exposure to high sound levels can cause permanent hearing damage. Reduce volume level or discontinue use if discomfort or pain is felt in your ears.
Adjusting equalisation (tone).
The X0HA-REP has a flat frequency response, it does not have any internal circuitry that adjusts or modifies the equalisation
levels. However, most portable playback devices do include multiple pre-set equalisation levels with some higher end devices also
incorpor
-
ating
custom equalisation controls. You may use the equalisation
controls included with your playback device to adjust the playba
ck
tone to suit your listening pleasure.
