Important Note:
When closing the housing ensure the Silicone Sleeve is slid all the way to the top of the Tray, with the Clip on the outside of the housing. This is required to keep the housing waterproof.
Do NOT slide Silicone Sleeve over the Clip located on the back of the housing.

H2O Audio housings and cases are designed for specific Apple iPod models, which vary by generation and storage size. You must ensure the correct housing or case is purchased for your specific iPod model.

3. Introduction
The H2O Audio waterproof housing allows you to listen to digital audio during active watersports. This housing accomadates the Apple iPod shuffle 2 digital media player only.
HOUSING:
The housing features a Silicone Sleeve that intimately mates with the hard plastic (polycarbonate) Tray. The housing allows for functional control of the iPod shuffle 2

There is NO access to the power or shuffle switches on the iPod shuffle

4. Leak Test
Before utilizing the system for the first time, it is highly recommended to

5. Opening the Housing
Opening the housing is very technique sensitive, and we recommend you practice opening and closing the housing a few times.

6. Installing the iPod shuffle 2nd Gen into the Tray
Installing the iPod
The Tray that holds the iPod shuffle 2nd Gen is what protects your shuffle from impact and water. It acts as an exoskeleton around your shuffle, and provides support to the soft Silicone Sleeve of the housing.

Removing the iPod Shuffle 2

Turn the Tray over to expose the back with the Clip facing up. Using your thumb to block the opening at the bottom of the Tray will prevent the shuffle from falling out once disconected. Gently pushing the shuffle down, unplugging it from the Tray and slide out.

7. Closing the Housing
Make sure a small amount of “Super O-Lube” is present on the Tray and the Silicone Sleeve before assembling them together. This will help maintain a watertight seal, and facilitate the opening and closing of the housing.
CAUTION:
If too many uses occur between the application of the Super O-Lube, a watertight seal cannot be guaranteed. Please apply a small amount of Super O-Lube at least every 5 separations of the Tray and Silicone Sleeve.

Make sure the shuffle is turned ON before closing the housing.

Inspect the Seal Area after closing to ensure that you have a tight seal

8. Connecting the Headphones
The SealTightTM Connector (which is only featured on the H2O Audio Waterproof Housing) is what keeps your audio connection safe and dry underwater. It is designed specifically to create a seal around the H2O Audio Series Waterproof Headphones (sold separately). Using any other headphones will reduce the waterproof rating to water-resistant as the headphone connection will not be completely waterproof.
To create a waterproof connection, align the 3.5mm stereo plug on the

headphones with the stereo jack of the housing.

10. Cliping the Housing to the Sport Armband
Clip the waterproof housing to the Sport Armband (included). It is extreamly important that the Lanyard is used to secure the waterproof housing to the Sport Armband. Running the armband strap though the Lanyard will secure the housing to the armband.
11. FAQ
Why is the H2O Audio for iPod shuffle 2nd Gen so hard to open?
1.
While we want you to have access to your shuffle player, we do not want water to have that same access. In our world, the more difficult is to get into the case, the more reassured we are about its’ integrity.
My Lanyard broke, what can i do?
2.
While the Lanyard is not essential, it is very helpful. The Lanyard can be replaced with any strong string, shoe lace or if you would like a replacement Lanyard please to contact our Customer Support.
Do water droplets on the side of the Tray indicate a leak?
3.
No, this is a typical result when separating the Tray from the housing. If you are concerned you can perform a Leak Test from Section 4.

12. General Storage Procedures
For long-term storage, store in a plastic bag out of direct sunlight.
CAUTION: Do not expose the housing to extreme heat, such as the inside
of a hot car, or in hot direct sunlight, such as on a beach, or boat deck. Doing so may cause damage and subsequent flooding.
CAUTION: The housing is susceptible to internal condensation with extreme
temperature fluctuations. Use above 105°F(40C) can result in internal condensation. When used in temperatures below freezing, frost will appear on the interior of the housing.
CAUTION: Do not store housing in the following environments:
* Solvents or other chemical fumes * High humidity * High Ozone * Extreme temperature fluctuations
Storing the housing in these conditions may lead to a damaged housing, causing it to leak.
Rinse the EXTERIOR of the system in fresh water after EACH use:
1. Make sure the housing is securely closed with headphones attached.
2. Soak in clean fresh water for 30 minutes.
3. Rinse the entire system with freshwater
4. Completely dry the entire exterior of the system using a clean soft cloth.
Strong detergents, soaps, and chemicals MUST NEVER be used to clean the system.

ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO HAVE THE AUDIO PLAYER VOLUME TURNED TO ZERO AND THE SPEAKERS AWAY FROM THE EARS WHEN TURNING ON THE H2O AUDIO UNIT. IF THE VOLUME LEVEL IS NOT ZERO WHEN THE H2O AUDIO IS TURNED ON, IT MAY CAUSE EAR INJURY DUE TO A SUDDEN BURST OF VOLUME. 16. Warranty Coverage
H2O Audio guarantees, to the original purchaser only, that the equipment purchased (EXCLUDING THE iPod ) is free of defects in material and/or under normal recreational use for a period of one year (1) from date of consumer purchase from an Authorized Dealer; provided that proper care and maintenance have been performed as prescribed by the owner's guide included with the equipment. Should this product prove to be defective for any reason (other than those listed as limitations below) the product will be serviced or replaced at H2O Audio's sole discretion at no charge (excluding shipping and handling). This warranty shall be void if the registration is not completed and sent to H2O Audio Customer Services within 30 days of purchase. This warranty shall be void if the equipment has been tampered with by anyone not authorized to perform service. The warranty is non-transferable and extends to the original purchaser only and is valid only if the equipment was purchased from an authorized dealer. Warranty does not extend to cover damage from accident, abuse, tampering, lack of maintenance, theft, or loss. Service or modifications by anyone other than an Authorized H2O Audio agent will void the warranty. H2O Audio will not be responsible for recovery or replacement of the product in the event of loss or theft. H2O Audio, its Authorized International Distributors, and Authorized Dealers make no other warranties, either express or implied or orally, or in writing, with respect to any other warranty coverage except those expressly stated within the preceding sentences. H2O Audio will not be held responsible for any agreements orally or in writing with the exception of those expressly included in this warranty statement. The warranty registration card and the terms contained herein supersede all statements contained in any and all owner's guides, instruction cards, or other equipment literature or catalogs. 17. Returns
Prior to any return, a Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained. To receive an RA number, go online to www.h2oaudio.com/returns.php and follow the simple instructions on how to return a product. Proof of purchase from an Authorized Dealer will be required. A copy of the original sales receipt and a copy of the owner's portion of the warranty card must accompany all correspondence regarding the equipment covered by this warranty agreement or in direct reference to this warranty.
