Using Wireless SoundPower with Boom 2000
Install the X10 Boom 2000 Software
Download the Boom 2000 software from
http://www.x10.com/software
Next, run the downloaded file. This installs Boom 2000.
Set Up Boom 2000 Software
You can use the Boom software to control up
to three different media players of any type.
First, right click on the Boom window and select
"Players" from the pop-up menu. This will open
the "Select Players" dialog.
Select the application to use for each type of media from
the drop down menus. The options in the drop down menu
are determined by the applications you have installed on
your computer - if it's there you can use it!
While Boom 2000 is running press the red "Audio" button
on your SoundPower remote, then 1 (MP3), 2 (DVD) or 3
(CD) to select the program you want to control. Press
"Power" to start the player. You can now press PLAY, STOP,
PAUSE, FF and REW on the remote to select and play
MP3s and CDs that you normally access on screen. Use

SoundPower Kit lets you listen to your PC's audio anywhere
in the house, and Boom 2000 lets you control that sound
remotely. The Boom 2000 software puts the control of up to
three different multimedia applications together in one place
- the SoundPower Remote.
VOL+, VOL-, and MUTE to control the sound mixer on your
PC.

Set Up the SoundPower Wireless Speakers
Follow the instructions included in the SoundPower
kit for connecting SoundPower to your speakers.
Connect SoundPower to Your PC
Use the supplied mini-headphone to RCA cable
to connect the output from your PC's sound card
to the SoundPower Transmitter (VT35A). If your
sound card has surround sound,
you can connect one SoundPower
Transmitter to the "Front" output and another
(optional) to the "Rear" output.
Connect the Boom Receiver
Find an available serial port on your computer and
plug the Boom RF Receiver (model MR26A) into
it. You can also plug the Boom Receiver into an
X10 Firecracker interface (model CM17A). Tighten
the plug onto the serial port.
