CONTENTS AND INTRODUCTION

As part of the WyreStorm Pro Plus range of matrices
and extenders, the RX-70-IR-POH display receiver

has been developed for more aordable HDBaseT
installations that demand the benets of an

HDBaseT transmission, including distribution of full
HD video, audio and bidirectional IR control over a
single Cat5e/6 cable up to 70m/230ft.

As an evolution of the Pro Plus range, the RX-70-IR-POH
also features support of routed serial control and Power-

over-HDBaseT for full compatibility with MX-PP-POH xed

and customisable matrices to offer system integrators

even greater exibility and application opportunities,
combined with out-of-the-box convenience that add
signicant value to any installation.

More Power

PoH enables low voltage power to be passed along

the Cat5e/6 cable from an MX-PP-POH matrix to

power RX-70-IR-POH receivers without the need
for local mains power at display zones for greater

exibility and convenience during installation as well as
improved energy efciency compared to a permanent
mains connection.

More Control

RX-70-IR-POH also supports routable serial control via
RS232 to allow central control of all connected display
devices, with protocols for leading control systems
available on the website product page – all of which adds
up to an incredibly powerful package for residential and

commercial applications of any size or budget.

Using the very latest Class B HDBaseT platform, the
RX-70-IR-POH supports single cable 36bit Deep Color
1080p HD Video @60Hz, including full frame-packing 3D
(Blu-Ray), HD multichannel audio and discrete IR control
of source and display from either location and routable
RS232 control using unshielded or shielded Cat5e/6

cable.

The RX-70-IR-POH has been designed for integration with
MX-PP-POH matrices and other WyreStorm HDBaseT
solutions, such as the AMP-001-010 Digital Audio

Amplier for distribution of full, uncompressed HD video,

audio and control combined with 2:1 audio, speaker/sub
connections, ARC and local audio input to create a total
HD AV distribution system including EDID management

and HDCP compliance.

3. Safety Precautions

1. Do not expose this apparatus to rain, moisture,

sprays, drips or splashes and ensure that no
objects containing liquids are placed on the

apparatus, including cups, glasses and vases.

2. Do not place this unit in a conned space such as
enclosed shelving, cabinets or bookshelves.
Ensure the unit is adequately ventilated.

3. To prevent the risk of electric shock or re hazard

due to overheating, do not cover the unit or
obstruct ventilation openings with material,
newspaper, cardboard or anything that may restrict

airow into the unit.

4. Do not install near external heat sources such as

radiators, heat registers, boilers or any device that

produces heat such as ampliers or computers and
do not place near sources of naked ame.

5. Unplug apparatus from power supply during

lightening storms or when unused for long periods

of time.

6. Protect the power cable from being walked on,

pinched or restricted in any way, especially at plug

connections.

7. Only use attachments/accessories specied by the
manufacturer.

8. Units contain non-servicable parts - Refer all
servicing to qualied service personnel.
