Before using battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on battery charger, battery, and product using battery.
WARNING:
1. WARNING – To reduce the risk of
fire and electric shock, install in a temperature- and humidity-controlled indoor area relatively free of conductive contaminants.
2. CAUTION – To reduce the risk of fire and
electric shock, remove battery charger from the receptacle when not in use.
3. WARNING –To Avoid Electric Shock
–Do not touch exposed live terminals or connected parts.
4. CAUTION – For use indoor only. To
reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose to liquid, vapor, or rain.
5. CAUTION–To reduce risk of injury,
charge only WA3229 (for WG770) / WA3220 (for WG788/WG789) type rechargeable batteries. Other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.
6. Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. For this reason it is of the utmost importance that each time before using your charger, you read and follow the instructions provided exactly.
7. To reduce risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those marked on the battery.
8. Never smoke or allow an open spark or flame in the vicinity of the battery or engine.
9. Use charger for charging a lead-acid
battery only. It is not intended to supply power to an extra-low-voltage electrical system or to charge dry-cell batteries. Charging dry-cell batteries may cause them to burst and cause injury to persons and damage to property.
10. Never charge a frozen battery.
11. study all battery manufacturer’s specific precautions such as removing or not removing cell caps while charging and recommended rates of charge.
12. Never place the charger directly above or below the battery being charged; gases or fluids from the battery will corrode and damage the charger. Locate the charger as far away from the battery as dc cables permit.
13. Do not operate charger in a closed-in area or restrict ventilation in any way.
14. Connect and disconnect dc output clips only after setting any charger switches to the off position and removing ac cord from the electric outlet. Never allow clips to touch each other.
