Mounting
The digital scale can be mounted to machinery in various
ways. The goal is to attach either the display unit or scale
body to a fixed machine part and the other component
to the movable machine part. This allows you to measure
the relative distance the movable machine part travels.
IMPORTANT: Choose the digital scale model that has a
scale body longer than the full travel of the parts being
measured. This will ensure that the display unit is not
damaged as the machine parts move through their full
range of motion.
Calibration
When the digital scale is properly attached to the
machine, bring the movable machine part to the starting
position, then press the ON/Zero button to zero the
display. Position the movable machine part a known
distance from the starting point, then use the decreasing
and increasing buttons to make the display reading agree
with the known distance.

NOTICE
The Model D4028/D4032 digital scale is
not designed to be used around liquids
of any kind. Exposing the display unit to
liquids could cause permanent damage
to the internal electronics, which will
not be covered under warranty.
Battery
If the digital display does not come on or it flashes, the
battery voltage is low. Turn the unit OFF, remove the
battery compartment cover by sliding it to the right, then
replace the battery. Re-install the cover before turning
the unit ON.
