BEFORE BEGINNING
1
Identify and verify that you have all the parts
listed. Read thru the instructions at least once,
familiarizing yourself with the parts and process before
proceeding. You'll need a #3 Phillips screwdriver
and a 7/16" socket wrench for assembly.
Attach both vac outlets
(5300V) to the 5"
base using the 1-1/2"
screws (MP150).
ASSEMBLY
2
Remove your routers existing base
plate and attach the router plate (5300P)
in its place. There is a partially drilled hole
(H) in the router plate that is used to orient
it to select the mounting holes for the
plunge base of your Bosch 1617-18
(B), DeWalt 616-618 (D) or Porter
Cable 690-892 (PC) router. Use
the screws we supply (MF035,
MF054 or MF058) to mount
your router to the router plate.
We have an undrilled router
plate available (5300PD - not
shown) if you have a different
router you need to mount.
The 5201 Plate Kit is
designed to work with the
5380K MDF Door Kit and
5320-5360 Templates.

ASSEMBLY

Install the 1/4" center
pin (PIN450) in your routers
1/4" collet and tighten. With
the router setting on a work
bench and the router plate
facing up, set the 5" base
(5301B) on the router plate.
Set the recessed portion
of the center disk (5300C) in
the opening of the base as you
slide it onto the center pin.
Orient the base so the router
controls and handles will
be in a comfortable location
for you. Install a washer
(WS002) on each of the 3/4"
bolts (HB020). Insert the 3/4"
bolts thru the two slots in the
base and start them by hand
into the threaded holes in the
router plate. Make sure the
recessed edge of the center
disk is in the bit opening of
the base and held against it,
then tighten the bolts with
a 7/16" socket. Remove the
center disk and center pin.
USING THE PLATE
4
The Plate Kits are designed to be used with the 5380K MDF Door Kit. With a 1/2" diameter bit, the 5301
Plate Kit will cut 2-1/4" from the edge of the Ultra Track or Template and the 5302 Plate Kit will cut 2-1/2"
from the same edge. By using the 56100-56450 Stile Bits we offer with the 5301 Plate kit, and the 57100-5725Panel bits we offer with the 5302 Plate Kit, you can cut a true raised panel profile in any panel. You can also
use just the 5301 or 5302 Plate Kit with a Stile bit, Panel bit, round nose or V-groove bit by themselves.
Keep the base of the Plate Kit firmly against the Ultra
Track or Template while cutting and move in a
clockwise direction around the interior of the
5380K MDF Door Kit. Practice on a scrap
panel first before attempting any
cuts in your finished panels.
