Before Your First Use
The grill/griddle is designed for indoor and outdoor use. Carefully unpack the grill and stand and remove all packaging materials. Ensure that you have all parts as shown in this instruction manual. To remove any dust that may have accumulated during packaging, wipe the cooking surface, base, and stand with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners on any part of the grill.
Warning: Do not immerse the cord or plug in water or other liquid. Do not use metal scouring pads on any part of the appliance. Place the grill on a dry, stable surface away from an open flame or hot burners. This appliance requires 1800 watts and should be the only appliance operating on the circuit. Plug the grill into a 120 volt 60 Hz AC only outlet.
Before using, condition the nonstick surface. Spread 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil with a soft cloth or folded paper towel over the entire grill and griddle cooking surfaces. Assemble grill and set temperature to 250°. When the grill has reached 250°, turn off and cool completely. The grill is now ready to use.

Warning: Improper use of the grounded cord can result in the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if necessary. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature by modifying plug.
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. Longer (detachable power supply cords or) extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a long (detachable power supply cord or) extension cord is used,
1 The marked electrical rating of the (detachable power supply
cord or) extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,
2 The extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord, and
the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
3 Outdoor use extension cords should be used with outdoor use
products and are surface marked with the suffix letter “W” and with a tag stating “Suitable for use with outdoor appliances.”
4 Keep extension cord connection dry and off the ground.
