oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder
bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unter­wiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren
verstanden haben. Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät

Die Kaffeemaschine darf nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck gemäß dieser Gebrauchs­anweisung verwendet werden. Lesen Sie deshalb die Gebrauchsanweisung vor der
Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig, sie gibt Anweisungen für den Gebrauch, die Reinigung

und die Pflege des Gerätes. Bei Nichtbeachtung übernehmen wir keine Haftung für
eventuelle Schäden. Bewahren Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig auf und geben
Sie diese gemeinsam mit dem Gerät an Nachbenutzer weiter. Beachten Sie auch die
Garantiehinweise am Ende der Gebrauchsanweisung.
Für Glasbruch wird keine Garantie übernommen.

Weitere Sicherheitshinweise

▪ Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Schutzkontaktsteckdose anschlie-

ßen. Zuleitung und Stecker müssen trocken sein.

▪ Die Anschlussleitung nicht über scharfe Kanten ziehen oder einklemmen, nicht

herunterhängen lassen sowie vor Hitze und Öl schützen.
▪ Ein Verlängerungskabel nur in einwandfreiem Zustand einsetzen.
▪ Den Netzstecker nicht an der Leitung oder mit nassen Händen aus der Steckdose

ziehen.
▪ Das Gerät nicht an der Zuleitung tragen.
▪ Den Kaffeeautomaten nicht auf heiße Oberflächen z.B. Herdplatten o.Ä. oder in

der Nähe der offenen Gasflamme abstellen, das Gehäuse könnte dabei anschmel-

zen.
▪ Das Gerät nicht auf wasserempfindliche Oberflächen abstellen. Wasserspritzer

könnten diese beschädigen.
▪ Das Gerät nicht ohne Wasser einschalten. Den Frischwasserbehälter höchstens bis

zur maximal möglichen Tassenanzahl mit kaltem Wasser füllen.
▪ Kein Wasser in das eingeschaltete oder noch heiße Gerät einfüllen. Zuvor den

Kaffeeautomaten ausschalten und 5 Minuten abkühlen lassen.
▪ Vorsicht, das Gerät wird heiß. Verbrühungsgefahr durch austretenden Dampf.

Während des Durchlaufes niemals den Filter heraus schwenken oder den Deckel

öffnen.
▪ Wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird, den Netzstecker ziehen.
▪ Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen bzw. sofort Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:

⋅ Gerät oder Netzkabel beschädigt ist
⋅ der Verdacht auf einen Defekt nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem besteht.

In diesen Fällen das Gerät zur Reparatur geben.

▪ Das Gerät nur unter Aufsicht betreiben.
▪ Das Gerät regelmäßig entkalken.
▪ Die Thermokanne ist nicht für die Mikrowelle geeignet.

hinweise oder nicht fachgerechter Reparatur wird keine Haftung für eventu-

elle Schäden übernommen. Ebenso sind Garantieleistungen in solchen Fällen

ausgeschlossen.

Inbetriebnahme

Vor der Erstbenutzung und nachdem das Gerät längere Zeit außer Betrieb war, füh­ren Sie einen Kochvorgang mit Frischwasser ohne Kaffeemehl durch. Füllen Sie dazu
den Tank bis zur 10-Tassen-Marke (Variante mit Glaskanne) bzw. bis zur 8-Tassen-

Marke (Variante mit Thermokanne), da ansonsten die Kanne überlaufen kann.

Aktuelle Uhrzeit einstellen

Nach Anschließen des Netzsteckers an eine Steckdose erscheint im Display die
Uhrzeit und Set.
Stellen Sie die aktuelle Uhrzeit durch Drücken der Tasten h und min ein. Um die
Zeit schnell vorlaufen zu lassen, können Sie die Tasten h oder min gedrückt halten.
Bestätigen Sie durch Drücken der Taste Set.
Solange Sie die Uhrzeit nicht mit Set bestätigen, blinkt die eingestellte Uhrzeit.
Hinweis: Sie können auch gleich nach dem Anschließen des Netzsteckers an eine
Steckdose Kaffee brühen, indem Sie die Start-/Stopptaste kurz drücken.
Hinweis: Nach einem Stromausfall oder nachdem der Netzstecker gezogen wurde,
muss die Uhrzeit neu eingestellt werden.
Sie können jederzeit die eingestellte Uhrzeit korrigieren.
Drücken Sie die Taste Set und halten Sie diese für ca. 4 Sekunden lang gedrückt bis
die Uhrzeit blinkt.
Stellen nun die gewünschte Uhrzeit durch Drücken der Tasten h und min ein und
bestätigen Sie diese mit der Taste Set.

Programmieren der Einschaltzeit

Die Einschaltautomatik des Gerätes startet den Brühvorgang selbstständig zur
gewünschten Uhrzeit. Die Einschaltzeit kann bis zu 24 Stunden im Voraus program­miert werden.
Drücken Sie die Set-Taste einmal kurz. Im Display erscheint Set und

. Stellen Sie
die Einschaltzeit durch Drücken der Tasten h und min ein und bestätigen Sie die
Einschaltzeit durch drücken der Taste Set.
Solange Sie die Einschaltzeit nicht mit Set bestätigen, blinkt die eingestellte Ein­schaltzeit.. Nach ca. 5 Sekunden wechselt die Anzeige zur Uhrzeit zurück ohne eine
Einschaltzeit zu speichern.
Hinweis: Nach einem Stromausfall oder nachdem der Netzstecker gezogen wurde,
muss die Einschaltzeit neu eingestellt werden.

Hinweise zur Edelstahlkanne
(nur Variante mit Thermokanne)

Die Kanne ist als Servierkanne konzipiert und hält bei maximaler Füllung den Inhalt
am besten warm. Bei Teilfüllungen und Restmengen kann sich die Warmhaltezeit
wesentlich verringern. Am Besten ist es, wenn die Kanne vor der Zubereitung mit
heißem Wasser ausgespült wird.
Der Verschluss durch den Durchbrühdeckel ist technisch bedingt nicht 100%ig
dicht, damit er sich auch nachdem Abkühlen des Kaffees noch leicht öffnen lässt.
Den Deckel zum Verschließen nur leicht festdrehen. Die gefüllte Kanne nur aufrecht
stehend benutzen.
Zum Ausgießen die Ausgießtaste am Griff drücken.
Zum Öffnen der Kanne drehen Sie den Deckel leicht gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Achten
Sie darauf, dass nach dem Schließen des Deckels, die Ausgießtaste wieder über dem
Griff der Kanne ist.

Der doppelwandige Edelstahlbehälter ist absolut bruchsicher. Trotzdem sollte er vor
mechanischen Beanspruchungen geschützt werden.
Spülen Sie die Kanne regelmäßig aus. Wenn sich Eisenpartikel aus dem Wasser auf
der Edelstahl-Oberfläche festsetzen, kann es an dieser Stelle zu Lochfraß kommen.
Entfernen Sie diese Ablagerungen deshalb sofort mit einem Edelstahl-Putzmittel.

Kaffeezubereitung

Zum einfachen Befüllen des Wassertanks können sie diesen abnehmen. Öffnen Sie
den Wassertank durch Drücken auf dem Deckel. Gießen Sie nur kaltes Wasser in den
Tank. Die Wasserstandsanzeige gilt für die Frischwassermenge, die zum Brühen der
gewünschten Tassenzahl à 125 ml Kaffee notwendig ist.
Klappen Sie zum Einfüllen von Kaffeemehl den Schwenkfilter heraus. Setzen Sie
einen Papierfilter der Größe 1 x 4 in den Filter ein, zuvor jedoch den Prägerand
umfalten. Der Papierfilter darf nicht über den Rand des Filters hinausragen, er ist
deshalb mit der Hand leicht anzudrücken.
Füllen Sie die erforderliche Menge Kaffeemehl ein. Pro Tasse rechnet man je nach
persönlichem Geschmack mit ca. 5-7 g mittelfein gemahlenem Kaffee. Ist er zu fein
gemahlen, kann der Filter überlaufen.
Schließen Sie den Schwenkfilter, dieser rastet dabei hörbar ein.

Aroma-Funktion

Möchten Sie einen stärkeren, aromatischen Kaffee zubereiten, können Sie die
Aroma-Funktion aktivieren. Sie empfiehlt sich besonders für die Zubereitung gerin­ger Mengen. Drücken Sie dazu die Aroma-Taste

kurz bevor Sie den Brühvorgang
mit der Start-/Stopptaste beginnen oder die automatische Einschaltung aktivieren.
Bis die Zubereitung beendet ist erscheint im Display das Symbol

.
Hinweis: Warten Sie länger als ca. 5 Sekunden mit dem Starten des Brühvorgangs
bzw. der Aktivierung der automatischen Einschaltung, deaktiviert sich die Aroma-
Funktion wieder.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass sich die Zubereitungszeit etwas verlängert.

Vorbrüh-Funktion
(nur Variante mit Thermokanne)

Um ein besonders intensives Aroma zu erzielen, können Sie die Vorbrüh-Funktion

aktivieren. Zum Vorbrühen wird zuerst nur eine geringe Wassermenge gefördert.

Erst nach einer kurzen Pause, in der das Kaffeepulver quellen kann, wird das Brühen
fortgesetzt. Drücken Sie die Taste

kurz bevor Sie den Brühvorgang mit der Start-/
Stopptaste beginnen oder die automatische Einschaltung aktivieren.
Bis die Zubereitung beendet ist erscheint im Display das Symbol

.
Hinweis: Warten Sie länger als ca. 5 Sekunden mit dem Starten des Brühvorgangs
bzw. der Aktivierung der automatischen Einschaltung, deaktiviert sich die Vorbrüh-
Funktion wieder.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass sich die Zubereitungszeit etwas verlängert.

Automatisches Einschalten

Soll die Zubereitung zur programmierten Einschaltzeit automatisch starten, drücken
Sie kurz die Taste

, im Display erscheint .
Der Leuchtring der Start-/Stopptaste leuchtet mit reduzierter Leuchtkraft.
Die Zubereitung beginnt automatisch zur programmierten Einschaltzeit, der
Leuchtring der Start-/Stopptaste leuchtet mit voller Leuchtkraft.
Hinweis: Sobald die automatische Einschaltzeit bestätigt wird, können keine

weiteren Einstellungen mehr vorgenommen werden. Um Änderungen vorzunehmen,
müssen Sie die Taste

kurz drücken, das automatische Einschalten ist wieder
deaktiviert.
Sie können die Zubereitung jederzeit abbrechen, indem Sie die Start-/Stopptaste
drücken.

Sofortstart

Soll der Kaffee sofort zubereitet werden, drücken Sie die Start-/Stopptaste kurz. Der
Leuchtring leuchtet mit voller Leuchtkraft und die Zubereitung beginnt.
Sie können die Zubereitung jederzeit abbrechen, indem Sie die Start-/Stopptaste
drücken.
Warten Sie einige Minuten, bis der Kaffe vollständig in die Kanne gelaufen ist. Nach
dem Entnehmen der Kanne verhindert ein TropfStopp-Ventil, dass Kaffee nachtropft.

Abschaltautomatik
(nur Variante mit Thermokanne)

Nach dem Einschalten sorgt eine Abschaltautomatik dafür, dass das Gerät nicht
überhitzt. Erst wenn das Wasser vollständig durchgelaufen ist, schaltet sich das Gerät
ab.
Ein vorzeitiges Abschalten ist durch Drücken der Start-/Stopptaste möglich. Dies
könnte erforderlich werden, wenn Sie versehentlich ohne Wasser eingeschaltet
haben. Vor dem Einfüllen in das heiße Gerät unbedingt einige Minuten warten und
die Kaffeemaschiene abkühlen lassen.

Warmhalte-Funktion
(nur Variante mit Glaskanne)

Um den fertig gebrühten Kaffee auf Serviertemperatur zu halten, ist Ihr Gerät mit
einer Warmhalte-Funktion ausgestattet. Die Warmhaltezeit ist standardmäßig auf
20 Minuten eingestellt. Mit dem Brühvorgang erscheint im Display

.

Vor Brühbeginn können Sie durch einmaliges Drücken der Taste

die Warmhalte­zeit auf 40 Minuten erhöhen oder durch ein zweites Drücken die Warmhaltefunktion
deaktivieren (0 Minuten).
Die gewählte Warmhaltezeit wird durch Drücken der Taste

oder der Start-Stopp­taste bestätigt.
Hinweis: Warten Sie länger als ca. 5 Sekunden mit der Bestätigung, wird auf Stan­dard 20 Minuten zurückgesetzt.
Hinweis: Die veränderte Warmhaltezeit ist nur für diesen Brühvorgang gültig.
Bevor erneut Kaffee zubereitet werden kann, sollte das Gerät 5 Minuten abkühlen.

Verkalkungsanzeige

Die automatische Verkalkungsanzeige ermittelt den Zeitpunkt für die fällige
Enktkalkung. Je nach Kaffeekonsum und eingestellter Wasserhärte werden Sie schon
nach 4 bis 6 Wochen durch die blinkende Anzeige CALC während des Brühens, zum
Entkalken aufgefordert.
Nach ca. weiteren 50 Tassen erscheint nach dem Einschalten die Anzeige CALC
dauerhaft im Display, es kann kein weiterer Kaffee mehr gebrüht werden. Eine
Entkalkung ist nun zwingend erforderlich.

Einstellung Wasserhärte

Ihr Gerät besitzt eine automatische Verkalkungsanzeige. Zum Schutz vor zu starker
Verkalkung ist das Gerät werkseitig auf sehr hartes

Wasser voreingestellt. Erfragen Sie die Wasserhärte Ihres Leitungswassers beim
zuständigen Wasserwerk oder der kommunalen Verwaltung. Verändern Sie die Ein­stellung, wenn die Wasserhärte geringer als 21°dH ist. Sie werden dann nicht mehr so
häufig zum Entkalken aufgefordert.
Halten Sie hierzu die Taste Set ca. 7 Sekunden gedrückt, bis im Display Set CALC
erscheint. Die Anzeige CALC und der aktuell eingestellte Härtegrad, z. B. H4 blinken
abwechselnd. Solange die Wasserhärte im Display blinkt, kann diese durch Drücken
der Taste

auf die Wasserhärte 1, 2, 3 oder 4 verändert werden.

Bestätigen Sie die Einstellung durch Drücken der Taste Set.

Härtebereich Härte

1 weich 0 - 7° dH
2 mittel >7- 14° dH
3 hart >14 - 21° dH
4 sehr hart >21° dH

1° dH entspricht ca. 0,18 mmol/l Ca- und Mg-Ionen

Entkalken

Kalkablagerungen führen zu Energieverlusten und beeinträchtigen die Lebensdauer
des Gerätes.
Wir empfehlen die Verwendung von durgol® universal. Dieses ist hochwirksam und
materialschonend ohne zusätzliche Einwirkzeit.

Sie bekommen es dort, wo das Gerät gekauft wurde, im ausgewählten Fachhandel
oder Sie bestellen direkt bei wmf consumer electric.

Papierfilter einlegen und Kanne in die Maschine stellen. Eine Portion (125 ml)

durgol® universal in den Wassertank füllen und mit Leitungswasser bis zur
10-Tassen-Marke (Variante mit Glaskanne) bzw. bis zur 8-Tassen-Marke (Variante

mit Thermokanne) auffüllen.
Drücken Sie zum Starten der Entkalkung die Taste

und halten Sie diese ca. 4
Sekunden lang gedrückt. Im Display erscheint die Anzeige CALC, das Entkalkungs­programm wird automatisch gestartet, der Leuchtring der Start-/Stopptaste leuchtet.
Das Entkalkungsprogramm endet automatisch nach ca. 40 Minuten, der Leuchtring
der Start-/Stopptaste erlöscht, im Display erscheint wieder die Uhrzeit.
Hinweis: Während des Entkalkungsablaufs schaltet sich das Gerät mehrmals ein und
aus.
Wichtig: Füllen Sie anschließend zum Spülen den Tank bis zur 10-Tassen-Marke
(Variante mit Glaskanne) bzw. bis zur 8-Tassen-Marke (Variante mit Thermokanne)
mit frischem Leitungswasser auf und lassen Sie dieses durchlaufen.
Keinesfalls Essig oder Essigessenz verwenden, da Materialien im Gerät dadurch
beschädigt werden könnten.
Bei der Verwendung von Entkalkern auf Basis von Zitronensäure könnten sich beim

Entkalken Niederschläge bilden, die den Kalkbelag versiegeln oder die Leitungen im
Gerät verstopfen. Zudem läuft die Entkalkung mit Zitronensäure zu langsam ab –
eine vollständige Entkalkung kann deshalb nicht gewährleistet werden.
Achtung, für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung der Entkalkungsvorschrift entste­hen, besteht kein Garantieanspruch.

Reinigung

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker und lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.
Das Gerät nicht in Wasser tauchen, sondern außen nur mit einem feuchten Tuch,
dem etwas Spülmittel beigegeben wird, abwischen.
Keine scharfen und scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden.
Filter, Glaskanne und Thermokanne werden unter fließendem Wasser gereinigt.

Garantie-Information

Für unsere Geräte übernehmen wir gegenüber dem Endkunden eine 24-monatige
Haltbarkeitsgarantie. Sie beginnt mit dem Kauf des Gerätes durch den Endkunden
und gilt im Gebiet der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Ansprüche aus dieser Garantie sind unter Vorlage des Kaufbelegs direkt gegenüber
unserem zentralen Kundendienst geltend zu machen.
Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind Schäden durch normalen Verschleiß, unsachge­mäßen Gebrauch, Nichteinhaltung der Entkalkungsanweisung, unterbliebene Pflege
sowie Glasbruch.
Der Endkunde besitzt zusätzlich zu den Ansprüchen aus dieser Garantie gesetzliche
Ansprüche wegen Mängeln des Gerätes gegenüber seinem direkten Verkäufer/Händ­ler, die durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt werden.

Das Gerät entspricht den Europäischen Richtlinien 2006/95/EG, 2004/108/EG und
2009/125/EG .

Dieses Produkt darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht über den normalen Haushalts­abfall entsorgt werden, sondern muss an einem Sammelpunkt für das Recycling von
elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten abgegeben werden.
Die Werkstoffe sind gemäß ihrer Kennzeichnung wiederverwertbar. Mit der Wieder­verwendung, der stofflichen Verwertung oder anderen Formen der Verwertung von
Altgeräten leisten Sie einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Schutze unserer Umwelt.

Additional safety instructions

▪ Only connect the device to properly installed earthed sockets. The wire and plug

must be dry.

▪ Do not pull the connecting cable over sharp edges or clamp it. Do not let it hang

down and protect it from heat and oil.
▪ Only use extension cords that are in perfect condition.
▪ Never disconnect the mains plug from the socket by the cord or with wet hands.
▪ Do not carry the device by the cord.
▪ Do not place the coffee machine on hot surfaces, such as hot plates or similar, or

near open flames. The housing could melt.
▪ Do not place the device on water-sensitive surfaces. Water spray may damage

them.
▪ Do not switch on the device without water. Fill the fresh water tank with cold

water only to the maximum possible number of cups at the most.
▪ Do not put any water in the device if it is switched on or still hot. Prior to filling,

switch the coffee machine off and allow to cool for five minutes.
▪ Caution, the device is hot. Risk of scalding from escaping steam. Never swing the

filter out or open the cap during operation.

Start-up

Prior to first use and after the device was not used for a long period of time, run a
cycle through with fresh water and no ground coffee. To do so, fill the tank to the

10-cup mark (version with glass pot) or to the 8-cup mark (version with vacuum
jug), as otherwise the pot can overflow.

Setting the current time

After connecting the mains plug to a socket, the display shows the time and Set.
Set the current time by pressing the h and min buttons. To advance the time quickly,
you can hold down the h or min buttons. Confirm by pressing the Set button.
As long as you do not confirm the time by pressing Set, the set time will blink.
Note: You can also brew coffee immediately after connecting the mains plug to a
socket by pressing the start / stop button briefly.

Note: After a power failure or the mains plug was pulled out, the time must be

re-set.
You can always adjust the set time.
Press the Set button and hold this down for approximately 4 seconds until the time
blinks.
Now set the desired time by pressing the h and min buttons and confirm this by
pressing the Set button.

Setting the automatic switch-on time

The device’s switch-on system starts the brewing process automatically at the desired
time. The switch-on time can be set for up to 24 hours in advance.
Briefly press the Set button once. The display will show you Set and

. Set the
switch-on time by pressing the h and min buttons and confirm the switch-on time
by pressing the Set button.
As long as you do not confirm the switch-on time by pressing Set, the set switch-on
time will blink. After approximately five seconds, the display switches back to the
time without saving the switch-on time.
Note: After a power failure or the mains plug was pulled out, the switch-on time
must be re-set.

Information about the stainless steel pot
(version with vacuum jug only)

The pot is designed as a serving pot and best keeps coffee warm when filled to the
maximum. The keep-warm time can be drastically reduced if only filled partially or
with residual amounts. It is best if the pot is rinsed with hot water before prepara­tion.
For technical reasons, the seal made by the drip-through lid is not 100 percent sealed
so that it can still easily be opened after the coffee has cooled down. To close, lightly
tighten the lid. Only use the filled pot in an upright position.
To pour, press the pour button on the handle.
To open the pot, lightly turn the lid in a counter-clockwise direction. Ensure that the
pour button is located over the handle once again after closing the lid.
The double-walled, stainless steel container is absolutely unbreakable. Nevertheless,
it should be protected from mechanical stresses.
Rinse the pot regularly. If iron particles from water set on the stainless steel surface,
it may lead to localised corrosion at that point. Therefore, remove these deposits
immediately with a stainless steel cleanser.

Coffee preparation

You can remove the water tank for easy filling. Open the water tank by pressing on
the lid. Only pour cold water into the tank. The water level display applies to the
fresh water quantity that is needed to brew the desired number of 125 ml cups of
coffee.
Swing out the swing-out filter to fill with ground coffee. Place a 1 x 4 paper filter in
the filter, but fold the edge before doing so. The paper filter should not extend over
the edge of the filter, so it is therefore to be lightly pressed with your hand.
Fill with the required amount of ground coffee. Depending on personal test, figure
approximately 5-7 g medium-fine ground coffee per person. If the coffee is ground
too finely, the filter may overflow.
Close the swing-out filter until you hear an audible click.

Aroma function

You can activate the aroma function if you want to prepare a stronger, more
aromatic coffee. It is particularly recommended for preparing small quantities. To
do so, press the aroma button

just before you start the brewing process with the
start / stop button or before you activate the automatic switch-on system.
The

symbol will be shown in the display until the preparation is complete.

Note: If you wait longer than approximately 5 seconds to start the brewing process
or activate the automatic switch-on system, the aroma function is deactivated
again.

Pre-brew function
(version with vacuum jug only)

In order to achieve a particularly intense flavour, you can activate the pre-brew
function

. Only a small amount of water is advanced at first for the pre-brew.
After a brief pause, during which the coffee powder can swell, the brewing
continues. Press the

button just before you start the brewing process with the
start / stop button or before you activate the automatic switch-on system.
The

symbol will be shown in the display until the preparation is complete.

Note: If you wait longer than approximately 5 seconds to start the brewing process
or activate the automatic switch-on system, the pre-brew function is deactivated
again.
Please note that the preparation time takes slightly longer.

Automatic switch-on

If the preparation should start automatically at a programmed switch-on time,
briefly press the

button and will appear in the display.
The illuminated ring of the start / stop button illuminates with reduced brightness.
The preparation begins automatically at the programmed switch-on time and the
illuminated ring of the start / stop button illuminates with full brightness.
Note: As soon as the automatic switch-on time is confirmed, no other settings
can be made. In order to make changes, you must press the

button briefly to
deactivate the automatic switch-on.
You can cancel the preparation at any time by pressing the start / stop button.

Immediate start

Press the start / stop button briefly to prepare coffee immediately. The illuminated
ring illuminates with full brightness and the preparation begins.
You can cancel the preparation at any time by pressing the start / stop button.
Wait a few minutes until all of the coffee has run into the pot. Once the pot is
removed, a drip-stop valve prevents coffee from dripping out.

Automatic shutoff
(version with vacuum jug only)

After being powered on, an automatic shutoff ensures that the device does not
overheat. The device switches off only once all of the water has drained completely.
It is possible to shut off the device earlier by pressing the start / stop button. This
could be necessary if you accidentally switch on the unit without water. Before
filling the hot device with water, it is necessary to wait a few minutes to allow the
coffee machine to cool down.

Keep-warm function
(version with glass pot only)

Your device is equipped with a keep-warm function to keep the finish brewed coffee
at serving temperature. The keep-warm time is set to 20 minutes by default.
appears in the display during the brewing process.
Before the brewing process starts, you can increase the keep-warm time to 40 min­utes by repeatedly pressing the

button or can deactivate the function by setting
it to 0 minutes.
The selected keep-warm time is confirmed by pressing the

button or the start /
stop button.
Note: If you wait longer than approximately 5 seconds to confirm, it will return to
the 20 minute default.
Note: The changed keep-warm time only applies for that brewing process.
Allow the device to cool for 5 minutes before preparing more coffee.

Scaling indicator

The automatic scaling indicator determines the time for the due descaling. Depend­ing on the coffee consumption and the set water hardness, you will be prompted to
descale after 4 to 6 weeks by the flashing CALC display during brewing.
After another approximately 50 cups of coffee, CALC appears permanently in the
display and no more coffee can be brewed. A descaling must now take place.

Setting the water hardness

Your appliance has an automatic scaling display. To protect against too much lime
scale, the appliance is pre-configured
for very hard water. Ask your local waterworks or local authorities about the water
hardness of your tap water. Change the setting when the water hardness is less than
21°dH. You will not be asked to descale as often as before.
To do so, hold the Set button approximately 7 seconds until Set CALC appears in the
display. The CALC display and the current set degree of hardness, e.g. H4, now flash
alternately. As long as the water hardness is flashing in the display, it can be changed
to water hardness 1, 2, 3 or 4 by pressing the

button.

Confirm the setting by pressing the Set button.

1° dH corresponds to approximately 0.18 mmol/l Ca and Mg ions

Descaling

Limescale deposits lead to losses of energy and impair the service life of the device.
We recommend using durgol® universal. It is highly effective and non-abrasive
without additional reaction time.

can order it directly from wmf consumer electric.

Insert paper filter and place the pot in the machine. Place one dose of (125 ml)
durgol® universal into the water tank and fill with tap water to the 10-cup mark
(version with glass pot) or to the 8-cup mark (version with vacuum jug).
To start the descaling, press the

button and hold this down for approximately 4
seconds. CALC appears in the display, the descaling program starts automatically and
the illuminated ring for the start / stop button illuminates. The descaling program
ends automatically after approximately 40 minutes, the illuminated ring of the start
/ stop button turns off and the display shows the time again.

Note: The device switches on and off several times during the descaling process.
Important: Afterwards, fill the tank to the 10-cup mark (version with glass pot) or

to the 8-cup mark (version with vacuum jug) with fresh tap water to rinse and run
the cycle once through.
Using vinegar or vinegar concentrate could damage materials in the appliance.
When using descalers with citric acid bases, deposits could form during descaling
that seal the limescale layer or clog the lines in the device. In addition, descaling
with citric acids runs too slowly. A complete descaling process can therefore not be
guaranteed.
Attention: there is no claim under warranty for damages caused by not observing
the descaling instructions.

Cleaning

Unplug the mains plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
Do not immerse the device in water, but rather clean the outside with a damp cloth

with a little washing-up fluid and then wipe away.
Do not use any sharp and abrasive cleaning agents.
The filter, glass pot and vacuum jug can be cleaned under flowing water.

Mise en service

Avant la première mise en service et après une mise hors service prolongée effectuez
un cycle complet avec de l’eau fraîche sans utiliser du café moulu. Pour ce faire
remplissez le réservoir jusqu’au repère 10 tasses (modèle avec verseuse en verre)
ou jusqu’au repère 8 tasses (modèle avec verseuse isotherme), sinon la verseuse
pourrait déborder.

Régler l’heure actuelle

Après avoir branché la fiche de contact à une prise, l’écran affiche l’heure et Set.
Réglez l’heure actuelle en appuyant sur les touches h et min. Pour avancer plus vite,
vous pouvez rester appuyé sur les touches h ou min. Confirmez en appuyant sur la
touche Set.
Tant que vous ne confirmez pas l’heure à l’aide de Set l’heure réglée continuera à
clignoter.
Consigne: Vous pouvez préparer du café tout de suite après avoir branché la fiche
secteur à une prise en appuyant brièvement sur la touche On/Off.
Consigne: L’heure doit être réglée à nouveau après une coupure de courant ou après
avoir débranché l’appareil.
Vous pouvez corriger l’heure réglée à n’importe quel moment.
Appuyez sur la touche Set et tenez-la enfoncée 4 secondes env. jusqu’à ce que
l’heure clignote.
Réglez maintenant l’heure souhaitée en appuyant sur les touches h et min et confir­mez-la avec la touche Set.

Programmer l’heure de démarrage automatique

Le dispositif de démarrage automatique de l’appareil lance la préparation du café de
manière autonome à une heure souhaitée. L’heure de démarrage peut être program­mée jusqu’à 24 heures à l’avance.
Appuyez brièvement sur la touche Set. Sur l’écran apparait Set et

. Réglez l’heure
de démarrage en appuyant sur la touche h et min et confirmez-la en appuyant sur la
touche Set.
Tant que vous ne confirmez pas l‘heure de démarrage avec Set, l’heure de démar­rage continuera à clignoter. Après env. 5 secondes l’affichage réaffiche l’heure sans
enregistrer l’heure de démarrage.
Consigne: L’heure de démarrage doit être réglée à nouveau après une coupure de
courant ou après avoir débranché fiche secteur.

Consignes pour la verseuse en acier inoxydable
(seulement modèle avec verseuse isotherme)

Conçue comme une verseuse elle maintient le contenu le mieux au chaud lorsqu’elle
est remplie au maximum. La durée de maintien au chaud diminue sensiblement en
cas de remplissages partiels ou de quantités résiduelles. Il est recommandé de rincer
la cafetière avec de l’eau chaude avant la préparation.
Des contraintes techniques ne permettent pas une fermeture étanche à 100% du
couvercle doté d’une tête de passage, pour qu’on puisse l’ouvrir aisément une fois
le café refroidi. Ne visser le couvercle que légèrement pour le fermer. N’utiliser la
verseuse remplie qu’en position verticale.
Pour verser le café appuyer sur la touche de déversement sur l’anse.
Pour ouvrir la verseuse tournez le couvercle légèrement dans le sens inverse des
aiguilles d’une montre. Veillez à ce que la touche de déversement se trouve au-dessus

de l’anse de la verseuse après la fermeture du couvercle.
Le récipient en acier inoxydable à double paroi est absolument incassable. Toutefois il
faut éviter toute contrainte mécanique.
Rincez régulièrement la verseuse. Si des particules ferreuses contenant dans l’eau se
déposaient sur la surface en acier inoxydable, des piqures de corrosion pourraient
s’y former. Pour cette raison enlevez ces dépôts immédiatement avec un produit
d’entretien pour aciers inoxydables.

Préparation du café

Pour un remplissage aisé du réservoir d’eau vous pouvez enlever ce dernier. Ouvrez
le réservoir d’eau en appuyant sur le couvercle. Ne versez que de l’eau froide dans
le réservoir. L’indication de niveau d’eau indique la quantité d’eau nécessaire pour
préparer une quantité en tasses souhaitées de 125 ml.
Faites pivoter le porte-filtre orientable pour ajouter le café moulu. Insérez un filtre
en papier de taille 1x4 dans le porte-filtre, mais pliez d’abord le bord gaufré du filtre.
Le filtre en papier ne doit pas dépasser le bord du porte-filtre, pour cette raison il
faut l’enfoncer doucement avec la main.
Remplir avec la quantité nécessaire en café moulu. Compter pour chaque tasse et
selon le goût personnel env. 5-7g de café moulu à mouture moyenne. Si le café
était moulu trop finement, le filtre pourrait déborder.
Repositionnez le porte-filtre, celui-ci s’enclenche avec un déclic.

Fonction arôme

Si vous souhaitez préparer un café plus fort et riche en arômes vous pouvez activer
la fonction arôme Elle est particulièrement conseillée pour préparer des petites
quantités. Pour ce faire appuyez sur la touche arôme,

avant que vous ne com­menciez avec le processus de pré-percolation à l’aide de la touche On/Off ou avant
que vous n’activiez le démarrage automatique.
Jusqu’à ce que la préparation ne soit terminée, l’écran affichera le symbole

.
Consigne: Si vous attendez plus qu’env. 5 secondes avec le démarrage de la
percolation ou avec l’activation du démarrage automatique, la fonction arôme se
désactivera à nouveau.
Veuillez noter que le temps de préparation sera un peu plus long.

Fonction de pré-percolation
(seulement modèle avec verseuse isotherme)

Pour obtenir un arôme particulièrement intense, vous pouvez activer la fonction
pré-percolation

. Au début une faible quantité en eau est acheminée pour la pré­percolation. La percolation sera poursuivie seulement après une courte pause durant

Consigne: Dès que l’heure de démarrage automatique est activée aucun autre
réglage ne sera possible ensuite. Pour pouvoir effectuer des modifications vous
devez appuyer brièvement sur la touche

, ainsi le démarrage automatique sera de
nouveau désactivé.
Vous pouvez interrompre la préparation à tout moment en appuyant sur la touche
On/Off.

Démarrage immédiat

Si le café devait être préparé sans attendre, appuyez brièvement sur la touche On/
Off. L’anneau luminescent s’allume avec une intensité lumineuse à pleine puissance
et la préparation démarre.
Vous pouvez interrompre la préparation à tout moment en appuyant sur la touche
On/Off.
Attendez quelques minutes jusqu’à ce que le café se soit entièrement écoulé dans la
verseuse. La valve arrêt-gouttes empêche que le café restant ne s’échappe après avoir
retiré la verseuse,

Arrêt automatique

L’arrêt automatique garantit après le démarrage que l’appareil ne surchauffe pas.
L’appareil s’éteint uniquement quand la quantité totale d’eau est passée.
Un arrêt prématuré est possible en appuyant sur la touche On/Off. Ceci peut s’avérer
nécessaire si vous avez mis l’appareil en marche accidentellement sans eau. Attendre
impérativement quelques minutes avant de remplir l’appareil chaud et laisser refroi­dir la machine à café.

Fonction de maintien au chaud
(seulement modèle avec verseuse en verre)

Votre appareil est doté d’une fonction de maintien au chaud pour garder le café
préparé à une température idéale, prêt à être servi. La durée de maintien au chaud
est programmée par défaut à 20 minutes. Durant le processus de percolation l’écran

Avant le démarrage de la percolation vous pouvez augmenter la durée de maintien
au chaud à 40 minutes en appuyant sur la touche

La durée de maintien au chaud sélectionnée est confirmée en appuyant sur la touche

ou sur la touche ON/OFF.
Consigne: Si vous ne confirmez pas dans les 5 secondes env., l’appareil commute sur
le réglage par défaut de 20 minutes.
Consigne: La durée de maintien au chaud modifiée n’est valable que pour ce cycle de
percolation.
Avant de préparer à nouveau du café, l‘appareil devrait refroidir durant 5 minutes.

Voyant d’entartrage

Le voyant d’entartrage automatique calcule le moment d’un détartrage nécessaire.
Selon la consommation de café et la dureté de l’eau réglée vous serez invités à détar­trer toutes les 4 à 6 semaines par le voyant CALC clignotant durant la percolation.
La voyant CALC s’affiche après env. 50 tasses de manière permanente sur l’écran
après avoir allumé l’appareil, vous ne pouvez alors plus préparer du café. Un détar­trage est désormais devenu indispensable.

Réglage de la dureté de l’eau

Votre appareil est doté d’un affichage automatique d’entartrage. Pour prévenir un
entartrage trop important l’appareil est préréglé à une dureté d’eau
extrêmement élevée. Renseignez-vous sur la dureté de votre eau du robinet auprès
du centre de distribution des eaux responsable ou auprès de la gestion communale.
Modifiez le réglage si la dureté de l’eau est inférieure à 21°TH. Dans ce cas vous ne
serez plus invité aussi fréquemment à effectuer
un détartrage.
Pour ce faire tenez appuyée la touche Set pour une durée de 7 secondes env., jusqu’à
ce que Set CALC s’affiche sur l’écran. L’affichage CALC et le degré de dureté réglé,
p.ex. H4 clignotent alternativement. Tant que la dureté d’eau clignote sur l’écran
celle-ci peut être modifiée en choisissant les duretés 1, 2, 3 ou 4 en appuyant sur la
touche

.

Confirmez le réglage en appuyant sur la touche Set.

Détartrer

Des dépôts calcaires peuvent causer des pertes d’énergie et influencent la durée de
vie de l’appareil.
Nous recommandons l’utilisation de durgol® universal. Il est extrêmement efficace
et protège les matériaux sans temps de pose.

Vous pouvez l’acheter là, où vous avez acquis l’appareil, dans le commerce spécialisé
ou vous le commandez directement chez wmf consumer electric.

Mettre le filtre en papier et poser la verseuse dans la machine. Verser une portion
(125 ml) durgol® universal dans le réservoir d’eau et ajouter de l’eau potable
jusqu’au repère 10 tasses (modèle avec verseuse en verre) ou jusqu’au repère 8
tasses (modèle avec verseuse isotherme).
Appuyez pour démarrer sur la touche

et tenez la enfoncée durant 4 secondes
environ. Sur l’écran s’affiche le voyant CALC, le programme de détartrage démarre
automatiquement, l’anneau luminescent de la touche ON/Off s’allume. Le programme

de détartrage s’arrête automatiquement après 40 minutes env., l’anneau luminescent
de la touche On/Off s’éteint, l’écran réaffiche l’heure.

Consigne : L’appareil s’allume et s’éteint plusieurs fois durant le cycle de détartrage.
Important : Pour rincer remplissez le réservoir jusqu’au repère 10 tasses (modèle
avec verseuse en verre) ou jusqu’au repère 8 tasses (modèle avec verseuse iso­therme) avec de l’eau fraîche potable et effectuez un cycle complet.

N’utilisez en aucun cas du vinaigre ou du concentré de vinaigre car ils pourraient
endommager les matériaux de l’appareil.
En utilisant des détartrants à base d’acide citrique des dépôts peuvent se former lors
du détartrage qui scellent la couche calcaire ou bouchent les tuyaux dans l’appareil.
De plus un détartrage à l’acide citrique se fait bien plus lentement - un détartrage
complet ne peut pour cette raison être garantie.
Attention, aucun droit à garantie n’est engagé pour des dommages dus au non-res­pect des prescriptions du détartrage.

Nettoyage

Débranchez la fiche secteur et laissez refroidir l’appareil.
Ne pas plonger l’appareil dans l’eau, mais l’essuyer avec un chiffon humide, imbibé
d’un peu d’agent de rinçage et le sécher ensuite.
Ne pas utiliser de nettoyants mordants et abrasifs.
Le filtre, la verseuse en verre et la verseuse isotherme sont nettoyés sous l’eau
courant.

L’appareil est conforme aux Directives Européennes 2006/95/CE, 2004/108/CE et
2009/125/CE.

Au terme de son utilisation ce produit ne doit pas être éliminé avec les déchets
ménagers habituels, mais il doit être déposé dans un point de collecte pour le recy­clage d’appareils électriques et électroniques.
Les matériaux sont recyclables conformément à leur identification. Grâce à la réutili­sation, le recyclage de matériaux ou d’autres formes de recyclage des vieux appareils
vous contribuez de manière significative à la protection de notre environnement.
