Preface
Basic Input/Output System (also known as BIOS) is a firmware program stored on a chip in the system mainboard.
Introduction
BIOS includes system BIOS, ME firmware and PCI Express devices option ROMs. System BIOS is EFI BIOS structure while ME firmware is Intel Node Management firmware. SV7220-2A BIOS is compliant with PCI Express Base Specification 2.1 and 3.0. PCI Express devices are scanned by BIOS in low to high order of PCI BUS. PCI Express device are connected to PCI Express root ports from Intel Northbridge, each root port can provide up to 40 PCI lanes of GEN3 PCI Express links.
About this Manual
This manual contains information about the system BIOS and discusses how to configure the system by changing the settings of the BIOS parameters.
Chapter 1 contains information regarding the BIOS setup, hotkeys, menu bar and navigation keys.
Chapters 2 to 7 contain detailed description of the BIOS menus, submenus and functions.
