FCCRFexposurecompliance

TheradiatedoutputpowerofyourtabletisbelowtheFCCradiofrequency
exposurelimits.Nevertheless,itshouldbeusedinsuchamannerthatthe
potentialforhumancontactisminimizedduringnormaloperationofyourtablet.

TheradiatedenergyfromtheantennasconformstotheFCClimitoftheSAR
(SpecificAbsorptionRate)requirementregarding47CFRPart2Section
1093,whenthetabletoperatesintheconventionalsetting.TheSARis
determinedtomeasureatthehighestpowerlevelineachfrequencyband.
However,theactualSARlevelofyourtabletintheoperationbandsiswell
belowthemaximumvalueinsomemeasurementplots.TheThinkPadHelix
tabletcanadjustthecellulartransmissionpowerautomatically,based
upontheproximitytothehumanbodyandorientation.Namely,thecloser
distancefromyourbodytothetabletwilllowerthecellulartransmission
powerlevel.ThetablethasbeentestedandfoundtomeettheFCCRF
exposureguidelines.

Emergencycalls

ThewirelessWANmoduledoesnotsupportvoicecalls,hencetheirusefor
essentialcommunicationisnotpossible,includingemergencycallsregarding
theE911rule.

SimultaneoususeofRFtransmitters

YourtabletisapprovedforsimultaneoususeoftheintegratedwirelessLANand
Bluetoothtransmitters.

Makesureofthefollowingconditionswhenyouuseanyotherexternalwireless
optiondevice:

•WhenyouuseanyotherRFoptiondevice,youarerequestedtoconfirmthat
thedeviceconformstotheRFSafetyrequirementandisapprovedtousefor
yourtablet.

•YoumustfollowtheRFSafetyinstructionsofwirelessoptiondevicesthatare
includedintheusermanualoftheRFoptiondevice.

•Ifwirelessoptionsareprohibitedtouseinconjunctionwithanother
transmitters,youmustturnoffallotherwirelessfeaturesinyourtablet.

RadioFrequencyinterferencerequirements
