ExposuretoRadioFrequencyRadiation

TheradiatedoutputpowerofyourtabletisbelowtheFCCradiofrequency
exposurelimits.Nevertheless,itshouldbeusedinsuchamannerthatthe
potentialforhumancontactisminimizedduringnormaloperationofyourtablet.

CAUTION:
TheradiatedenergyfromtheantennasconformstotheFCClimitoftheSAR
(SpecicAbsorptionRate)requirementregarding47CFRPart2Section1093,
whenthetabletoperatesintheconventionalsetting.TheSARisdetermined
tomeasureatthehighestpowerlevelineachfrequencyband.However,the
actualSARlevelofThinkPadT ablet2intheoperationbandsiswellbelow
themaximumvalueinsomemeasurementplots.BecauseThinkPadTablet
2adjuststhecellulartransmissionpowerautomaticallybaseduponthe
proximitytothehumanbodyandorientation.Namely,thecloserdistance
toyoufromThinkPadT ablet2willlowerthecellulartransmissionpower
level.ThinkPadTablet2hasbeentestedandfoundtomeettheFCCRF
exposureguidelines.

ToknowthelocationoftransmissionantennasforthewirelessLANandBluetooth
ComboCardandthewirelessWANCard,see“LocationoftheUltraConnect
wirelessantennas”intheUserGuide.

EmergencyCalls

ThewirelessWANfeaturedoesnotsupportvoicecalls,hencetheirusefor
essentialcommunicationisnotpossible,includingemergencycallsregarding
theE911rule.

SimultaneoususeofRFtransmitters

YourtabletisapprovedforsimultaneoususeoftheintegratedwirelessLAN,
wirelessWANandBluetoothtransmitters.

Makesureofthefollowingconditionswhenyouuseanyotherexternalwireless
optiondevice:

•WhenyouuseanyotherRFoptiondevice,youarerequestedtoconrmthat
thedeviceconformstotheRFSafetyrequirementandisapprovedtousefor
yourtablet.

•YoumustfollowtheRFSafetyinstructionsofwirelessoptiondevicesthatare
includedintheusermanualoftheRFoptiondevice.

•Ifwirelessoptionsareprohibitedtouseinconjunctionwithanother

Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:

ofenergyemittedisfarmuchlessthantheelectromagneticenergyemittedby
wirelessdeviceslikeforexamplemobilephones.

DuetothefactthatwirelessLANfeature,wirelessWANfeature,andBluetooth
featureoperatewithintheguidelinesfoundinradiofrequencysafetystandardsand
recommendations,Lenovobelievestheintegratedwirelessfeaturesaresafefor
usebyconsumers.Thesestandardsandrecommendationsreecttheconsensus
ofthescienticcommunityandresultfromdeliberationsofpanelsandcommittees
ofscientistswhocontinuallyreviewandinterprettheextensiveresearchliterature.
