®
Infloor System Activations
Source I® Series Flush Activations offer a wide variety
of single service power and communication activations
for infloor distribution systems. Source I fittings are
available in brass or in black or brown polycarbonate
finishes. They are ideal for new construction and
retrofit projects and can be used as presets or aftersets
with Walkerduct® and Walkercell® systems.

FEATURES & BENEFITS
n Preset or afterset capability offers flexibility. Source I
Activations can be installed as preset or afterset activations
providing future flexibility.
n Unique lock feature on duplex plates. Duplex device
plate has lid covers that can be locked when receptacle
is not in use. Protects receptacle from damage.
n “Plug-thru” membrane receptacle cover. Receptacles
are protected by a dust blocking “plug-thru” membrane
that protects receptacle from damage.
n Attractive low profile fittings. Flush feature compliments
office interior while providing functional services.
FIBER OPTIC CAT5
n Configure service fittings as needed. Flanges and
faceplates are ordered separately to create the desired
activation unit that can be modified as future power and
communication requirements change.

Datacom connectivity options. Accepts industry standard
and proprietary devices from a wide range of manufacturers
to provide a seamless and aesthetically pleasing interface for
voice, data, audio, and video applications at the point-of-use.
n cULus Listed. All Source 1 Series Flush Activations are
UL Listed to U.S. and Canadian safety standards.

437 Preset Insert Installation Guidelines
Drill 2 1/2" [64mm] hole in duct
where activation is desired. Install
attaching ring in hole in raceway
before concrete is poured. Attaching
ring is secured by tightening
locking tabs. Be sure the locking
tabs are oriented lengthwise with
the raceway. The mudcap should
be securely in place before the
concrete pour. After the pour, chip
away concrete and remove mudcap.

S175 Double Duplex Power Activation
1.
Establish location for the fitting,
then core drill a 4" [102mm]
diameter hole through the
concrete to the top of the duct.
2.
Next, drill a 2 1/2" [64mm]
diameter opening in the top
of the duct, making sure this
opening is in the center of the
4" [102mm] hole.
3.
Install the 439 Attaching Ring
using the two locking tabs
to secure it to the duct.
4.
Connect the carpet flange to
the attaching rings using the
four screws provided.
5.
Install the two duplex
receptacles and the double
duplex plate to complete
the installation.

Polycarbonate — Using a 439 Afterset Attaching Ring
1.
Establish location for the fitting, then core drill a
4" [102mm] diameter hole through the concrete
to the top of the duct.
2.
Next, drill a 2 1/2" [64mm] diameter opening in
the top of the duct, making sure this opening is
in the center of the 4" [102mm] hole.
3.
Install the 439 Attaching Ring, using the two
locking tabs to secure it to the duct.
4.
Connect the carpet flange to the attaching ring,
using the four screws (#6-32 flathead) provided.
5.
For duplex cover plate: Install the wiring device
onto the carpet flange and secure the cover
plate over it, making sure the plug-through
membrane is in place.
For communication cover plate: Reverse the
communication slides as necessary to allow
cable egress, and install the cover plate, taking
care to avoid pinching any cables.
NOTE: The receptacle mounting shelf can be
broken out to create additional cable
space when the communication cover
plate is used.
