Safety and General Information

Safe Operation Precautions

For optimal performance and to insure your exposure to RF energy is within accepted safety standards, always use the phone only as directed in this manual. The phone is designed and tested to comply with RF energy exposure safety standards.

Antenna

Never hold the antenna when the phone is turned on. Use only the supplied antenna with the phone. Do not modify or add attachments to the antenna. Holding the antenna can expose you to increased levels of RF energy and may exceed the RF energy exposure safety standards the phone was designed to meet in recommended usage. It may also decrease the performance of the phone. Modifying or adding attachments to the phone, or using an antenna other than the supplied antenna, can expose you to increased levels of RF energy and may exceed the RF energy exposure safety standards the phone was designed to meet in recommended usage. It may also cause the phone to exceed regulatory limits that the phone was designed to comply to in recommend usage.

Making and Receiving Voice Calls

During a voice call, the phone may be held, flip open, in the conventional position to the head, with the earpiece centered over the ear and the microphone oriented towards the mouth. Voice calls using the approved headset must be performed with the phone worn in the belt clip (see the directions in Wearing the Phone) or with phone positioned away from the body by the minimum recommended separation distance (see the directions in Other Phone Positions.)

Wearing the Phone

When wearing the phone on your body, always attach the approved belt clip and place the phone in it.

Other Phone Positions

If the phone is not in one of the previously described normal use positions, insure it is positioned away from the body with a separation distance greater than or equal to that provided by the belt clip.

Data Operation

Data communications with the USB cable connected to the phone must be performed with phone positioned away from the body by the minimum recommended separation distance (see the directions in Other Phone Positions) or worn in the approved belt clip. When the USB cable is connected to the phone, voice calls must be performed with the headset.

Approved Accessories

Use only Wireless Dynamics approved accessories with the phone; they are designed to work with the phone to meet RF exposure safety standards. The use of non-approved accessories with the phone may expose you to RF energy exceeding safety standards.

Interference with Other Devices

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Howeve r, there is no guarantee that the interference will not occur in a particular

installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encourated to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or a experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Driving a Vehicle

Pull over and stop before answering or making a call with the phone.

Vehicle Air Bags

Do not place the phone over a vehicle air bag, or in the airspace where the airbag deploys.

Hospitals and Medical Equipment

Turn off the phone in hospitals and ne ar medical equipment.

Aircraft

Switch off your mobile before boarding an aircraft.

Blasting Areas

Turn off the phone. Please obey all posted signs and instructions.

Explosive Atmospheres

You are close to a petrol station or near any dangerous chemicals.

Other Prohibited Areas

You are in any area where the operation of your mobile phone is prohibited or may cause interference or danger.

Pacemakers

Always use the ear away from the pacemaker and never keep the phone in a breast pocket. Please consult the manufacturer of the pacemaker to determine if the device is properly shielded.

Hearing Aid

Please consult with the hearing aid manufacturer if interference is experienced.

Other Medical Devices

Please consult with your doctor or the manufacturer of the device.

Icon column: Display current mode, such as call diversion, battery electric quantity, registered with a different network, new text message etc. Subject column：Current subjects in application area.

Application zone：Sub-menu under current subject Scroll bar: Display current relative position of cursor Cursor: Highlight-selected item. Function name：Current selected item title by cursor. Battery

Removing and placing battery

1． When removing the battery, please follow the following steps: A Push-up the spring fasteners; B Put up the battery and take it out. 2． When placing the battery, please follow the following steps: C Slide the battery downside trip downwards; D Slide the battery up towards the catch until it cl icks into

place;

Charging a Battery

1． Make sure there is battery inside the phone. 2． Plug in electricity charger. 3． Connect the lead of electricity charger to the bottom of the phone. 4． By now, the mobile phone ‘s top right corner electric quantity icon on external display will flicker; if the phone has been closed when charging, charging indicating

frame will appear on the screen which represents that battery is in charging. Open the flip cover, same charge prompts can be seen on both internal and external display.

5． When electric quantity icon appears full on top right corner of display and stop flickering, it shows that charging has been completed. It is under normal conditions that

the phone and electricity charger will get hot during charging.

6． Disconnection AC supplies plug-in and disconnection the phone and electricity charger when charging is completed. Charging wariness：

 Charging can be done during either switch on or switch off mode of the phone. Charging under switch on mode will not affect functions of use of phone.  Make sure that the hum voltage matches with normal voltage of the charger. Use favorable plug adapter.  Use only approved charger when charging. Using of unapproved charger may cause hazard and violate the phone authorization and guarantee repair items.

Use only manufacturer-approved battery. " Invalid battery" will appear on display when using unproved battery.

Battery using and disposing

 Charging a Battery or replace battery when your mobile phone closes automatically or appears warning of insufficient electric quantity. The battery will

self-adjusting to lessen charging time if the battery has not been used up before charging.

 Standby and hold time provided by manufacture is based on ideal working environment. The working time of battery varies with different network status, working

environment and usage mode during in-service use. Environment protection wariness:

z Please send the useless battery to local reclamation depot, manufacturers agent or customer service center for purposes of recovery utilization.

z Do not drop batteries into fire, water or disposed as household garbage.

SIM card

When you subscribe to a cellular network, you are provided with a plug-in SIM card loaded with your subscription details (phone number, optional services available and so on). Your phone contacts network by SIM card and accomplishes all kinds of communications facilities. It can also store your most commonly used phone numbers and text messages. Valid SIM card should be inserted to mobile phone before using it. (Some network allow emergency call with SIM card) Note:

1. Safekeeping SIM card, do not bent or scuffing it, avoid touching the metallic plan area, keep off water, electricity and magnetism.

2. Mobile phone should be closed before inserting and removing SIM card.

1. Open battery cover.

2. Insert SIM card to holder.

3. Put on battery cover, justify the location mark and slide the battery up towards the catch until it clicks into place.

Removing SIM card

1. Make sure that your mobile phone is in closedown mode, unplug charger and other accessories, and remove the battery.

2. Remove SIM card from the holder.

Fundamental function

Switching the phone on/off

Long press End key to switch on/off the phone.

 If no SIM card has been inserted when switching on the phone, the phone will remind you to insert SIM card.  After SIM card has been inserted, the phone will automatic checking the usability of the SIM card.  Then the following hint will show on the display in turn:

1. If you have set the SIM card password, hint will be " input pin1".

2. If you have set the phone unlock password, hint will be " input mobile phone password ".

3. "Searching network ", the phone will proceed searching till find favorable connection network.

Making a phone call

After switch the phone on and access standby mode, you can dial or accept phone calls when network signal displays on left front corner of the display.

Using number keys

Input phone number using number keys, press "Send" key or Left Soft Key (confirm).

Using phone book

Press main menu-> phone book-> find record, and then input the name you want to find, press Left Soft Key (Confirm) to find corresponding record. Press Left Soft Key (view) to see more information about the record. Press send key to dial the phone of this record.

Speed dialling (according to storage location of phone number)

1. Input one or two numbers with number keys according to storage location of phone numbers in the phone book.

2. Press "#" to see corresponding phone number in the phone book.

3. Then press "Send" key or Left Soft Key (sending).

Speed dialling (one key dialling))

Long press defined number key to dial corresponding phone according to the definition of "one key dialling" in the phone book.

Redialling the Last Number

1． Press the "Send" key to display a list of the last numbers dialled, then select corresponding phone number, and then press "Send" key or Left Soft Key (send) to make a

call.

2． Through Main menu-> call records-Calls dialled. Select corresponding phone number in the list, press "Send" key or Left Soft Key (view), and then press Left Soft Key

(sending) to make a call.

Redialling the last received call.

Press Main menu-> Call records->Calls received. Select corresponding phone number in the list, press "Send" key or Left Soft Key (view), and then press Left Soft Key (sending) to make a call.

Dialling missed calls.

Through Main menu-> call records->calls received. Select corresponding phone number in the list, press "Send" key or Left Soft Key (view), and then press Left Soft Key (sending) to make a call.

Automatic redialling

The phone will make an automatic attempt to dial again (under the condition that automatic re-dial function is open) when call connection fails.

Emergence call

Input emergence call numbers such as 112 etc., the press” send" key or Left Soft Key (confirm). Note: This operation will still success at security constraint, no SIM card or phone lock mode. (At the phone lock mode, input emergence call number and press Left Soft Key (confirm) to make an emergency call.

Fast dialling method for next-dialling telephone

For those next-dialling phones, which have extension telephone, automatic answer, speech station, pause character "P" can be inserted to each segment number to automatically complete the whole dialling (long press "*"key to input "P"). For example, when the telephone exchange number is 87654321 and the extension telephone is 123, input 87654321p123,and then press "Send" key or Left Soft Key (confirm) to make a call.

Answering a call

Calls cal be answered when the telephonic functions is in "On" mode. In addition, calls can be received if prohibit incoming call or call diversion function is set. Please refer relative contents of " call divert " and "call barring" in " call service function" section. When call is coming, the phone will ring (or vibrate, loudspeaker mute) to give prompts and show the name or number of the calling phone on the display.

1. Under the flip open mode

 Press Send key or Left Soft Key (answer) to answer a call. Press End key or close the flip directly to hang off when calling is over.  Press right soft key (reject) or End key to hang off directly.

2. Under flip closed mode

 If "flip open to receive " is "On" in the "phone set”, then open the flip the answer a call.  If ""flip open to receive" is "Off" in the "phone set”, then open the flip and perform corresponding operation according to former flip open mode operation guide

Phone setting

Personalized setting

 Starting up greeting words: set starting up greeting words  Wallpaper：set display background picture.  Key set: set right and Left Soft Key function in standby mode.

Ringing type

Set prompts ringing of incoming calls, vibrating bell, text messages, voice box. There are several types of prompts including mute, vibrating and ringing, vibrating after ringing etc. different music can be selected for ringing.

 Incoming call: set ring when call is coming, the ring can be mute, vibrating and music etc.  Vibrating bell: set ring of vibrating bell, the ring can be mute, vibrating and music etc.  Text message: set ring of receive message, the ring can be mute, vibrating and music etc.  Voice box: set ring of receive voice box, the ring can be mute, vibrating and music etc.

Language

Select the phone menu display language; there are automatic/English/complex Chinese/ simplify Chinese for your choices.

Automatic redialling

Can be set to "Off " or "Prompts". If "Prompts" is set, the phone will ask you whether or not to redial under the disconnected condition that nobody answering or being rejected when calling someone; Set "Off" to cancel automatic redial function.

Flip answering

 Open: open the flip to answer a call when call is coming in flip open status.  Off: open the flip and press Answer key to answer a call when call is coming in flip close status.

Backlight duration

There are always-on, 30 seconds, sixty seconds, ninety seconds, 120 seconds, 240 seconds, 300 seconds and 360 seconds mode for your choices. Use to control the time duration of backlight in standby mode.  Backlight will be closed to save electricity when the standby time has reached the set backlight duration. In "Always-on "mode, the phone backlight will always in high light mode.

Adjusting shortcut key

Setting of shortcut key：

Press "Menu" to enter the main menu, move cursor to the icon which you want to set shortcut by Navigation Key. Press "Menu” continuously till shortcut editing hint appears, input the shortcut number and press Left Soft Key to confirm.

Operating of shortcut key：

Press "Main Menu->Shortcut" to enter shortcut key order adjusting menu in which defined shortcut keys listing can be seen. Select corresponding item to enter relevant menu by pressing Navigation Key up and down or Number Keys.

Network

z Changing frequency band: set frequency band, select 900Mhz, 1800Mhz or 900/1800Mhz.

z Current network: searching serviceable network and check it’s details, register or join in the serviceable ne twork li stin g. z

Setting： Priority network: select register method of priority network, by hand or automatic.

Searching frequency：Select searching rate, select low speed, moderate speed, fast speed or continuity.

z Priority network

Join in the listing From current networks: searching serviceable network and jo in in pri ority network. From given network: select and join in priority network from given network. Join in new network: search new network and join in priority network.

2. Display listing: display priority network listing.

z New network：Search likely available new network.

Security measures

 Phone lock:

Phone lock is an additional security function, which can prevent unauthorized user to use your phone.

Automatic locking: On or off, enable or disable automatic locking function.

Locking now: Lock the phone at once.

3. Unlocking unblock password: modify unlock password (4 characters), 6-character security password is needed before modifying, the default password is

000000.

 SIM PIN: Set PIN code on/off. After setting PIN code, PIN code is required every time you switch on your phone. The phone PIN code stores in the SIM card. Remember the code after purchasing SIM card. For detailed information about PIN code, contact the local network provider.

Note: SIM card will be locked if you input wrong PIN for three times. Contact the network provider or SIM card supplier to release the locking.

 New password: change security password, input the original security password before modifying it.  Changing SIM PIN2：

PIN2 is used to protect specific function such as fixed dialing, calling charge limitation etc. Input the original PIN2 code before modifying it.

Voice channel

Select the current using number for one-card-two-number SIM card.

Calling prompts

1. Off, no prompts.

2. On: set a time period, prompts will show every time period. The period can be 11 to 999 seconds.

Message function

Multimedia messages will differentiate between different network conditions. Contact the local network provider for more information.

Accessing messages menu

Through main menu, select" Messages" to access sub-menu column, including Inbox, New Messages, Outbox, Message Set Up, Cell Broadcast, Preset Messages.

Inbox

Used to store the text messages, SMS etc. that you have received. In addition, pictures sound in MMS messages can be reviewed, played and saved for other use. Save Number Function can extract the number in messages and save it to the phone book. Connect URL Function is used to extract URL in messages so that user can browse URL with built-in WAP browser.

Operation on messages in the Inbox

1. Press “Menu”.

2. Select "Messages" by Navigation Key, press Left Soft Key (select)

3. Select "Inbox" by Navigation Key, press left soft Key (select), you can see the message listing in the Inbox.

4. Move the cursor to the message you want to operate by Navigation Key.

5. Then press “Menu” or Left Soft Key (select).  If Inbox menu listing appears after pressing "Menu”, for MMS, including delete, delete all, reply, all return messages, re-send, return call, multimedia

New messages

Users can edit new SMS, MMS and save or send them.

 Edit and send or save SMS:

1. Press "Menu".

2. Select "Messages" by Navigation Key, and then press Left Soft Key (select).

3. Select "New Messages" by pressing Navigation Key up and down, press Left Soft Key (select).

4. Select "Edit SMS" by up and down Navigation Key, presses Left Soft Key (select).

5. Input message contents by keyboard (up to 70 Chinese characters, 160 alphanumeric characters or 70 Chinese an alphanumeric mixed characters). Press "Menu" to

select different input methods. Press Left Soft Key to confirm, subsequent selection are "Send" and "Save", select corresponding operation as necessary.  Edit and send or save MMS:

1. Press "Menu".

2. Select "Messages" by Navigation Key, and then press Left Soft Key (select).

3. Select "New Messages" by pressing Navigation Key up and down, press Left Soft Key (select).

4. Select "Edit MMS" by pressing Navigation Key up and down, press Left Soft Key (select) to access MMS edit menu.

5. MMS edit menu includes: send to, Cc, Bcc, subject, status report, and multimedia message. Select corresponding menu by Navigation Key, after pressing Left Soft Key

(change), you can edit the following relevant items:( information contents of MMS should be less than 30K):

z Send to: input other's mobile phone number or e-mail address.

 Input phone number or e-mail addresses directly, the press Left Soft Key (confirm) to complete input.  Or press Menu to select different input methods or select phone number or e-mail address from phone book.

z Cc: send to other phone number or e-mail address simultaneously (up to 15).

 Operation is same as "Send to".

z Bcc: send to other phone number or e-mail address secretly and simultaneously (up to 5).

 Operation is same as "Send to". z Subject: title of input message. Press Menu to select required input method. z Status report: On or off. When status is ON, report will be given whether the messages have been sent successfully. When the status is OFF, no report is needed. z Multimedia message: add sound, picture, carriage return symbol, new sound, and new picture.

 By this time you can input text messages, if you want to select other input method: press Menu-> Input Methods Selection to select corresponding input

method.

 If you want to insert sound, photograph, carriage return symbol, press Menu->Insert Selection to select corresponding items. Sound and picture means the

existing files you want to insert. File carriage return symbol means line feed. New sound means sound file about to record. New picture means inserting the picture taken by the built-in camera (only on picture file can be inserted).

6. After editing, press Menu,"Send","Save to draft box"," Preview" will appear, select corresponding operation as necessary.

z Send: Send the message at once. z

Save to draft box: Save the message to draft box, so that the message can be edited or send again.

z Preview: check the message.

Outbox

Save all sent or sent failure messages. User should often clear, delete the outbox messages to save ram space.

Message setting

Before using SMS, MMS and cell broadcast services, relevant setting should be carried out.

Setting operation

1. Press "Menu".

2. Select" message setting" by Navigation Key, then press Left Soft Key (select) to show message setting menu list which includes SMS, MMS, cell broadcast.

3. Select corresponding items by pressing Navigation Key up and down, presses Left Soft Key to perform corresponding set.

 SMS: service centre and time limit

z Service centre: input SMS service centre number (provided by network provider) z Valid Time: set the longest time limit for the saving of the received SMS messages with unit by number of days (1~99 days). z MMS: server, extract, time z Extract: may set to automatism inclusive or hand operated. z Automatism: Download MMS contents automatically. z Hand operated: Download MMS contents by user control. z Valid Time: set the longest time limit for the saving of the sent SMS messages with unit by number of days (1~99 days). z Cell broadcast: Cell broadcast service, may set to ON or Off.

 On: may receive cell broadcast messages.  Off: unable to receive cell broadcast messages.

Voice box

 Voice box setting：Set your voice box number.  Calling post-box: It is functional when voice box server has been opened and has set the applied voice box number at the former voice box setting section.

Operation： Sequential operation as follows: Main Menu-> Messages-> Voice Box->Calling Post-box, then begin to dial the preset number in the voice box; you can listen to your

Cell broadcast

Cell broadcast short messages are public service messages such as trafficking messages weather forecast etc. sent by network provider. It depends on the network whether to provide the service.

Operation：

1. Press "Menu".

2. Select" Messages" by Navigation Key, then press Left Soft Key (select).

3. Select” Cell Broadcast" by pressing Navigation Key up and down, then press Left Soft Key (select), you can see the cell broadcast submenu. The menu includes cells

broadcasting list, channel, and cell broadcasting language.

 Channel: channel to receive cell-broadcasting messages, including three operations as add channels, delete channels, delete all channels.

z Add channel: add a channel to receive cell-broadcasting messages. The maximum number of channels, which can be added, is five. z Delete channel: delete a channel to receive cell broadcast messages. z Delete all channels: delete all channels to receive cell broadcast messages.

Predefined text

Save and manage pre-editing messages. Use to send, reply or assemble new messages with other messages without a second time editing. Include user-defining messages and default messages. User-defining messages could be edited, saves, deleted, or sent, while the default messages can be deleted and renewed, but can be edited, sent or saved to draft box.

Operation：

1. Press "Menu Select" Messages" by Navigation Key, then press Left Soft Key (select).

2. Select" Predefined Text" by pressing Navigation Key up and down, then press Left Soft Key (select), you can see the predefined text list.

3. Select the message you want to operate by Navigation Key, there are two kinds of messages: default and user-defined.

Draft box

It is used to manage, store the user saved messages, operations such as edit, delete and send can be carried out.

Operation：

1. Press "Menu".

3. Select" Outbox" by pressing Navigation Key up and down, then press Left Soft Key (select), you can see the messages list in the draft box.

4. Select the message you want to operate by Navigation Key.

Incoming call divert

1. Divert all incoming call

1. Enable: Divert all incoming calls to the other phone. The phone number is needed.

2. Cancel：Cancel all incoming call diverting.

3. Check status：Check currently phone to see whether the function has been enabled.

Divert classify

1. Busy: calls are diverted if you are already making another call.

 Enable：Enable this incoming call divert function and input the target number you want to divert to.  Cancel：Cancel the incoming call diverting .  Check status：Check currently phone to see whether the function has been enabled.

2. No reply: Calls are diverted if you do not answer the phone.

 Enable：Enable this incoming call divert function.  Cancel：Cancel the incoming call diverting.  Check status：Check currently phone to see whether the function has been enabled.

3. Unreachable: calls are diverted if you are not in an area covered by your service provider or the phone has been switched off.

 Enable：Enable this incoming call divert function.  Cancel：Cancel the incoming call diverting.  Check status：Check currently phone to see whether the function has been enabled.

4. Cancel All: all call diverting options are cancelled.

Call Barring

Using phone book

You can store 250 phone numbers and their corresponding names, mobile phone number, home number, office number and email address in the memory and sort them according to different person. Record in the SIM card can only contain one phone number, and the number of the records in SIM card depends on the SIM card type.

Searching for a number

Input the personal name you want to search to find corresponding phone number and you can also edit the record. For the find phone number, if it is stored in the SIM card, delete and copy operation can be carried out; if it is stored in the phone, operation as follows:

z Set default phone: set one number in the record as the default number to dial and edit. z Incoming call picture: select a head portrait as the identification mark of the record. The corresponding head portrait will appear when the record number is coming or

dialling.

z Erase number/email: erase all the numbers and emails under the record. z Deletion record：Delete record：Delete this record from ram. z Copy record: copy the record to ram or SIM card. z Appending record

Appending phone records

z When the memory unit is phone, each record includes mobile, home, office phone number and e-mail address. z When the memory unit is SIM card, each record includes only a phone number.

Group management

You can set and edit group title and select different phone rings, message rings and colour indicating lamp for different groups.

One key dialling

You can define 0-9 numbers in correlation with ten numbers. To dial these numbers, you can only long press the associated number keys.

Select the Memory Unit you want to use, SIM card or the phone. You can check the capacity service condition of the Memory Unit.

Use to save the phones own number.

Application programs

Alarm bell setting: On or off, set alarm bell ringing time when set to on. The phone will automatic switch on and inquiry the user whether or not to switch on the phone after setting the alarm bell even if the phone has been closed.

Time setting: Adjust display time. Date setting：Adjust display date. Time display mode：Select time display mode according to 12 or 24 hours format.

Date format：Select a kind of date display format from the following formats: "day-month-year", "month-day-year", and “year-month-day".

How to use camera

Pictures shot by built-in camera can used in multimedia documents or act as incoming call identification picture (Caller ID or CID).

Take photos

Flip open:

1. Press right side key (Intelligent Key) or select camera from the main menu to access camera mode. You can see the picture in the camera's viewfinder.

2. Zoom out or in by press navigation key up and down, use right and left Navigation Key to perform transformation of picture size.

3. Press Left Soft Key (shot) or the right side key (Intelligent Key) to shot a photo; press Right Soft Key (ten seconds later) to have shot in ten seconds. You can only view the picture in the outside display.

4. Press left soft key (save) or the right side key to save the photo.

5. The phone will return to viewfinder display after saving. You can take photos as aforementioned steps.

Note:

1. After shutting, the phone will assign a filename, which involves shutting date and order information automatically, for example,"PIC0305003" means the photo was the third picture of 5th, March, which had been saved to the picture menu of multimedia library.

2. When the picture size is 96x96,the picture can act as incoming call picture, the filename format is "Incoming call picture**", and saved to the picture menu of multimedia library.

Flip closed

1. Press right side key (Intelligent Key) till the outside display entering camera mode

Profile

Enter operation mode list menu according to "Main Menu->Operation Mode" menu order, there are six options including " vibrate/mute/ silence conference/ office/ standard mode/disco". Press "Menu" to enter the corresponding submenu, which includes: ring type, ring volume, key tone setting, and talking volume, volume rename. Users can set different combination of ringing and vibration to meet the needs of application demand of different environment.

Ring type

Set prompt ringing of voice incoming call, alarm bell, short message, and voice box. There are several types of prompts including mute, vibrate and ringing, ringing after vibration, you can select different music for the concerned ringing.

Ring setting: set prompt mode when call is coming, you can select mute, vibrate and music. Message: set the prompt ringing when message is received, you can select mute, vibrate and music. Voice box: set the prompt ringing when sound message is received, you can select mute, vibrate and music. Alarm bell：set bell ringing，you can select mute, vibrate and music.

Ring volume

Set the prompt volume when message is received or call is coming by left side key or Navigation Key.

Key tone setting

Set whether to open the key tone or not.

Talking volume

Caller ID Pictures

Caller ID pictures are pictures with resolution 96 x 96. There can be 25 CID pictures in total stored inside phone. These CID pictures can be assigned to each individual Phone Book record in phone memory. Whenever an incoming arrives with the matching phone number, the corresponding CID picture is shown on screen.

Create CID Pictures

• Method 1: Launch Camera application Press LEFT navigation key in ViewFinder mode to set the resolution to 96 x 96 Press CAPTURE Press SAVE and the CID picture with name “CID PictureXX” is saved

• Method 2: Launch Media Files application in Main Menu Select Picture menu item Highlight one of the picture that is required to generate CID picture Press MENU key Select Make CID Picture menu item After processing, the generated CID picture is shown Press SAVE Rename the filename of the generated CID picture if it is required Press OK to save

Manage CID Pictures

The captured and generated CID pictures can be deleted or renamed. The steps are as follows:

You can select different input methods which includes iTAP, TAP, number, pinyin, stroke and predefined text by pressing Menu during text editing concerned with characters input.

ITAP/TAP input method

You can use TAP input method when you input English letters or numbers, concrete method of application as follows: Press the key which bearing the letter you want: press once to show the first letter on the key, twice the seconds letter (press continuously, the interval should be short)... The rest may be deduced by analogy. Refer to posterior iTAP/TAP input method keypad and characters and order reference listing for details. Press "#" to transform capital letters between small letters and CAP word is shown on the top right corner above the editor box to indicate that capital letter is being inputted. Whenever punctuation mark or special character is required, pressing ‘*’ shows a table of punctuation marks for selection. Pressing “#” swaps between table of punctuation marks or table of special characters. The iTAP input method can help you to finish English input simply and quickly by the use of advanced technologies as the most common used English words group, the statistics of the most used word etc. When you input English words, the display will continuously prompt the most probable English word, which conforms to the letter and the group of this letter with the former input letters. Because the advantage of the iTAP, you can find the word you want with the least keystrokes in the least time. Browser

This mobile phone can access Internet via GPRS or CSD; consult your ISP for details.

Visiting browser

You can carry out browser visit by this menu after you have set all needed parameters in the" browser setting".

Brower setting

z Server settings: set the ISP wireless access parameters you choose.

1. Name: name of ISP, up to 10 names you can set.

2. Setting homepage：set the default access web page when on line.

3. Gateway information1: submitted access gateway of ISP.

4. Gateway information 2：you can append the second gateway if the ISP has more than one gateway.

5. Overtime limit：set the automatic off-line time without any on-line operation. There are four options for your choice, 1/2/5/10/15 minutes.

6. CSD information 1：setting via CSD.

z Phone number：set ISP dialing access phone number, for China Mobile the number is 17266. z User name: user name provided by ISP. z Password： user password provided by ISP. z Transmission rate：2400/4800/9600/14400 bps. z Line type：Modem/ISDN

7. CSD information 2: you can set the second dialing access ISP information.

8. GPRS information：setting via GPRS.

z Access point name: selected ISP name. z User name: user name provided by ISP. z Password： User password provided by ISP.

z Setting cache sign：ON/Off

Download Java Application

Java application can be downloaded and stored via WAP browser.

Download Java Application

• Enter the WAP page with list of Java application WAP page for downloading through WAP browser. The settings and procedures of using WAP browser can be referred

to corresponding WAP section.

• Select the JAD file of Java application for downloading

• Enter Application Details page:

Cancel: Cancels downloading of Java application and returns to previous WAP page Download: Starts the downloading progress

• After it reaches 100% downloading, Installation screen is shown. Delete: Deletes the data of the downloaded Java application and returns to previous WAP page Continue: Continues to install the downloaded Java application

• After installation is completed, pressing Confirm to returns to previous WAP page

• Downloading and Installation of Java application is completed

Launch Application

• Selects Java icon in Main Menu

• Selects Applications menu item

• Shows a list of installed Java applications/games

• Selects the downloaded application

• Selects OK to launch

Calculator

Using this feature, you can use the phone as a calculator. The calculator provides the basic arithmetic functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. A stimulant calculator will appear in the display by pressing "Menu"->"Calculator". Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are represented by up, down, left, right Navigation Key accordingly."*" represents arithmetic point,"#" represents equal mark. Analog calculator can perform mathematical operation based on the above symbols and numbers.

Note: the maximal validity integer bit for the calculator is 8-bit, and the maximal significant decimal number bit is 4-bit.

Solving Problems

Before contacting the after-sales service, perform the following simple checks.

Unable to switch on the phone

1. Check the battery to see if it is placed correctly.

2. Whether you have used unproved battery.

3. Whether battery electric quantity displays at least in weak level. Please charge the battery if not.

Unable to charge

Whether use only factory-approved batteries and recharge your battery only with factory-approved chargers.

Insert SIM Card or check SIM card in display

Check that the SIM card is correctly installed. Reinstall it and make sure it is placed properly. SIM card is damaged; please contact the services provider for settlement.

Prompt of SIM card locked in the display

Please contact your network operator to obtain PIN unblocking code (PUK) and unblocking method.

Enter PUK when you switch your phone on

Input the phone unblocking code preinstalled when the phone leaved factory or the code you have modified.

Unable to make a phone call

1. Make sure that the phone hasn't set the call barring function.

2. Make sure the phone has strong signal, avoid electronic or wireless interference as well as some constructional obstruct such as bridges, parking lots, high-buildings

etc.

3. Check whether you the phone have call charge limits.

Unable to receive calls.

1. Make sure that the phone hasn't set the call barring or incoming call diverting function.

Unable to set certain functions

Make sure whether your network operator provides the service.

Unable to cancel call diversion or call barring function

Make sure whether you are in the network overlapping area.

Your correspondent cannot hear you speaking or your voice is very weak.

Press the left side volume key to adjust volume, make sure that the earphone hasn't been blocked.

1. Make sure that your phone has not been set to mute and the mic has not been blocked.

2. Check whether the phone is in calling hold mode.

Cannot send or receive MMS.

1. Make sure you have opened the GPRS service.

2. Make sure you are within the GPRS network overlapping area (see whether GPRS icon appears in the display)

3. Make sure the MMS setting is correct.

4. Whether the sending MMS is too large (more than 30k)

Cannot connect web browser when using browser or e-mail.

1. Your network operator has not provided the service or you have not applied this service.

2. The phone setting is not correct.
