Scan Channels
To activate this function, need to assign “Normal SCAN” in programming key setting. Long press defined key enables start or stop scanning. During programming, assign desired channels as "Scan CH". EX: If channels CH1, CH2, CH5, CH9, CH12 are assigned as " Scan CH", these channels will be scanned in this sequence continuously till a busy channel is found. Transceiver will stay on that busy channel for reception or to transmit and according to "SCAN setting" (BR / TR) to decide on when can again go on scanning. BR: Till signal disappears for 3 seconds to continue scanning. TR: Staying on the busy channel exceed setting (3 / 5 / 10sec.), transceiver will continue scanning no matter the signal disappears or not. While there is no signal and if [PTT] is pushed, transmission is done from self original channel. If scanned-out the signal, transmission is done from busy channel. It will again go on scanning after 5 seconds at t he end of reception or radio-communication.
W hen scanning, monitor the current channel if press
[Monitoring]. It will again go on scanning after releasing [Monitoring] 5 seconds. In the case of no signal or press the [PTT] or [Monitoring], LED lamp will be flashing green to indicate in scanning.
VOX is invalid, when scan in progress. This function is not allowed at the [CTCSS / DCS OFF] / [Talk
around] / [TX power adjustment].

Priority Channel Scanning
To activate this function, need to assign “Pri. SCAN” in programming key setting. Long press defined key enables start or stop scanning. During programming, assign a channel as "PRI.CH" and "Scan CH". Transceiver will scan these channels interchangeably. Ex: If channel 1 is assigned to be "PRI.CH" and CH1, CH2, CH5, CH6 assigned to be "Scan CH ", scan sequence will be CH1(P), CH1, CH1(P), CH2 , CH1(P), CH5, CH1(P), CH6, CH1(P). Transceiver will stay on that busy channel for reception or t o transmit and according to "SCAN setting" (BR / TR) to decide on when can again go on scanning. BR: Till signal disappears for 3 seconds to continue scanning. TR: Staying on the busy channel exceed setting (3 / 5 / 10sec.), transceiver will continue scanning no matter the signal disappears or not.
Pri. channel is not supported TR SCAN setting.
If scanned-out channel is not priority channel, transceiver will leave it for 3 sec. and will stay standby on priority channel to check if there is any signal. It will change to "SCAN CH" after 3 sec. from the end of reception or radio-communication. W hile there is no signal and if [PTT] is pushed, transmission is done from priority channel.
In the case of no signal or press the [PTT] or [Monitoring],
LED lamp will be flashing green to indicate in scanning. VOX is invalid, when scan in progress.

(Following 3 beeps, and the red LED lamp will flash three times) Use Channel knob to select 1~16 sensitivity level of VOX (1 being the highest, 16 being the lowest in sensiti vity.) Talk to MIC speaker to find suitable sensitivity level (VOX will send out a short beep at the beginning of operation, the LED lamp turns red without transmitting.) When desired sensitivity is reached, press and hold [P0]. One beep can be heard when transceiver completes setting and exists VOX adjustment mode.
