Proper Install ation
- Place the receiv er on a fla t, firm and stable su rface . Do not put it on a c arpet o r rug.
- Do not place the rec eiver o n top of anoth er devi ce, suc h as an amplif ier. This ma y lead to over heati ng.
- Do not put anythin g above t he unit (for e xampl e, CDs or m agazines ).
Sufficient Vent ilati on
- Place the receiv er in a wel l-ventil ated lo catio n to prevent a ccumu lation of interna l heat. Al low a gap of at least 10cm to the re ar and th e top of the unit, as wel l as a spac e of 5cm to both s ides to a void overheating.
- Do not obstruct an y venti lation ope nings w ith ite ms such as new spape rs, tablecloths , curta ins, etc.

- The receiver sho uld not b e exposed to d rippi ng wate r or splashi ng.

- Do not place any sou rce of fl ames such as l it cand les on th e receiver.
- This receiver is t o be used i n a temperat e clima te and sh ould not be us ed in a tro pical climate.

1.STANDB Y:Switch the receiver in and out of standby mode.
2.<0>-<9>:Numeric keys. 3/18.CH+/CH-:Program changing keys. Move
cursor up or down in menu item.
4.MENU:Display main menu on TV s cre en, and press again to disappear menu.
5.OK:To confirm current setting, or display all programs in no-menu mode. 6/17.VOL-/ VOL+:To increase / decrease volume. Move cursor left or right in menu item. Change date of EPG.
7.EPG:Shows the Electronic Program Guide.

9.PLAY/PAUSE:Play or Pause current program.
10.RETURN :Go back to the previous viewed
channel.
11.RED/BLUE/GREEN /YELLOW: Use t o navigate between pages in teletext mode.
12.MUTE:To navigate inside the menus.
13.TEXT:Switch on Teletext, if current channel
has this option, and use EXIT key to q uit Teletext.
14.SUB-T:Display subtitle options (availability depends on the channel).
15.AUDIO: Change the Audio language or switch to AC3 mode (availability depends on the channel).
16.EXIT:Use this key to quit current menu.
19.INFO:Display information about the current
channel.
20.TV/RADIO:Switch between Digital Radio and DVB-T mod es (R adi o is no t ava ila ble in countries such as France).
21.PAGE UP /PAGE DOWN:To navigate inside the menus.

3.First time installation
When all the conne ction s on the recei ver are r eady (s ection 2) an d the mai n lead is plugged in, t he rece iver will start up auto matic ally. If this doe s not hap pen,press the ON bu tton on t he front panel of the r eceiv er or on the remote cont rol .A eas y installa tion me nu will be displaye d where y ou can set diffe rent pa rameters and then run the cha nnel sc an:
1. OSD Language: U se the ar row / buttons to sele ct a lang uage for the on scree n displ ay menu (OSD ).
Press to go to the nex t param eter.
2. Region: Use the a rrow / bu ttons to select you r count ry.press to pro ceed.
CAUTION If the wrong count ry is sel ected the channel s can may n ot detect al l the cha nnels available .
3. LCN Mode: When th e logic al channel n umber ing opt ions is acti on,th e channel will be pos ition i n the list
with the broadba nd orde r automati cally a fter th e scanning . Press t o go forw ard.
NOTA If the LCN mode is tur n on,we s uggest to not chang e the cha nnel posit ion in th e TV /Radio cha nnel li st menu .

enter the Vie wing mo de.
4. Receiver Settings
The first time ins talla tion proce dure (c hapte r 3) will allo w the rec eiver to be used with i ts basi c functions however the rece iver offers many more a dvanc ed features and opt ions th at are illus trate d in the fo llowing sections.
4.1 Password
To modify some setti ng and vi ew certain c hanne l locke d by the end-u ser in th e Channel menu ,a pas sword has to be entered .t he fact ory set password is “0000 ”(four zer os)bu t it can be c hanger by pr essin g MENU and selecting th e setup m enu and then P arent al Lock .
CAUTION Take note and keep the n ew pass word in a safe p lace, if you fo rget your pe rsona l,use the univers al code “0786”to acces s the par ental lock m enu and s et a new pa ssword.
4.2 Channel Scan
The first time gui ded ins tallatio n proce dure ru ns a channel s can and s aves any channels a vaila ble at that time,however l ater sc ans may beco me nece ssary i f, for insta nce,a n ew channel become s avail able or when an existing chan nel cha nges frequ ency.To acce ss the channel scan f uncti on form the viewing m ode,p ress MENU on the remote c ontro l to open the ma in menu ,sele ct Install ation a nd then o ne of the foll owing options
1. Au to Scan:An a utoma tic sca n of all digit al terr estrial channel s recei ved in the are a by your a ntenn a
press OK on Search t o state t he scan.
CAUTION When a new automat ic scan i s run,the existin g chann el list will b e lost.
2. Channel Scan (F or Expe rt Users):Set all t he para meters displaye d on vide o related to t he Inte rested
channel,then s elect S earch and pr ess OK.
4.3 Ti me se tti ng
In the viewing mod e usage , p ress MENU on t he remo te cont rol to open th e main me nu. Select Setup an d then Region and Time . Thr ee setting option s are ava ilable und er GMT Us age ite m:
- By Region: The recei ver wil l automati cally s et the time accordi ng to the s elected Region.
- Off: The user manu ally se ts date and time.
- User Define: Ind icate t he Greenwich Mean Ti me (GMT ) time zone .E .g.: It aly has a t ime zone of +1
hour(GMT+01: 00)
During summer pe riod, i f applicab le, act ivate m anually th e Summe r Ti me paramet er.
CAUTION Some digital ter restr ial servic es tran smit in formatio n, whic h is stri ctly linke d to the pr ecise time settin g of the receiver.

4.4 Load Factory Default
The default sett ing of th e receiver be resto red by a ge neral rese t. To do so, press MENU o n the rem ote control, selec t Too ls and th en Load Fact ory Def ault .
CAUTION A reset will loose al l perso nal option s and fea tures settings sa ved in th e receiver.
5. The Menus
The main menu has 4 su b-men us:
- Channel: Chann el list b rowsing and editi ng . The edit options inc lude or der , change n ame, lo ck and
delete TV and r adio ch annels.
- Installation : Usefu l during installa tion. F unctions includ e autom atic and man ual cha nnel scans
(section 4.2).
- Setup: The ge neral r eceiv er configu ratio n. Options to perso naliz e and modify system p arame ters, such
as OSD language , ty pe of TV syst em, countr y and tim e(section 4.3). s ystem p assword (sectio n 4.1)a nd to set the event tim ers.
- Tools: Practical to ols lik e reset default set tings ( section 4. 4)and s ystem i nformati on view ing.
CAUTION The menus are simp le and ea sy to naviga te. Use t he arro ws, ok and num ber but tons and always fol low the instructions g iven in t he bottom to olbar.
