Warranty
Our warranty guarantees that each of its products will be free from material and workmanship defects for a period of one year from the invoice date. If the customer discovers a defect, we will, at his/her option, repair or replace the defective product at no charge to the customer, provide it is returned during the warranty period of one year, with transportation charges prepaid. The returned product must be properly packaged in its original packaging to obtain warranty service. If the serial number and the product shipping data differ by over 30 days, the in-warranty service will be made according to the shipping date. In the serial numbers the third and fourth two digits give the year of manufacture, and the fifth digit means the month (e. g., with A for October, B for November and C for December).
For example, the serial number 1W17Axxxxxxxx means October of year 2017.

Always completely disconnect the power cord from your chassis whenever you work with the hardware. Do not make connections while the power is on. Sensitive electronic components can be damaged by sudden power surges. Only experienced electronics personnel should open the PC chassis. 1.1 Overview
Thank you for choosing the Winmate® EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer. EAC PRO­IK90 with 6th Generation Intel® Xeon E3 or Core™ i7/i3 processors and C236 chipset offers high performance computing power and outstanding video processing. Abundant I/O ports and PCI/ PCIe expansion make EAC PRO-IK90 suitable for Factory Automation, Machine Vision, Surveillance, Machine Automation and other high-performance applications.

1.6.2 Power Button
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer has a Power On/ Off button on the front side.
1.6.3 Reset Button
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer has a Reset Button located on the front side. Press reset button to reboot the computer forcibly.
1.6.4 Clear CMOS Button
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer has a Clear CMOS button with on the front side. Press clear CMOS button to erase CMOS data and reset the system BIOS information.
CAUTION
Shut down your computer and unplug the power cord from the power supply before setting Clear CMOS.

2.1.1.2 COM Connector
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer provides two isolation 9-pin D-sub connectors that offer RS-232/422/485 serial communication interface ports. Default setting is RS-232, but this can be modified by BIOS setting. You can find detailed setting instruction in
Chapter 3.
2.1.1.3 Ethernet Connector (LAN)
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer has three Ethernet connectors located on the front. Ethernet ports provide a standard RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps jack connector with LED indicators on the front side to show its Active/ Link status and Speed status.

2.1.1.4 Audio Connector
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer has two stereo audio ports with phone jack connectors, one is Line-out, and the other one is Mic-in.
2.1.1.5 USB3.0 Connector
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer provides six USB3.0 connectors. Use USB3.0 connector to connect external devices such as mouse or keyboard to the box computer.

2.2.1.8 Power Input Connector
Terminal Block
The standard DC power supply connector of the EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer is on the front panel. EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer power supply connector consists of four pins. The DC power input for the EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer allows a voltage input from 9 V DC to 36 V DC.
WARNING!/ AVERTISSEMENT! Ensure voltage and polarity is compliant with the DC input. Improper input voltage or polarity can cause system damage.
DC Jack
The optional DC power supply connector of the EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer is on the front panel. The optional DC power input for the EAC PRO-IK90 allows a voltage input from 9-36 V DC.
CAUTION/ATTENTION Connect the EAC PR-IK90 either to AC power or DC power. Do not perform both connections at the same time.

2.1.2.2 Motherboard Jumpers
This section explains how to set jumpers for correct configuration of the motherboard. A metal-bridge jumper used to close an electric circuit, and it usually consists of two metal pins and one small clip protected by a plastic cover that slides over the pins to connect them. Users can connect the pins with the clip to close a jumper, and remove the clip to open a jumper. Generally, a jumper will have three pins which labeled 1, 2, and 3. In this case, you would connect either pins 1 and 2, or 2 and 3.
The jumper setting diagram is shown below. When the jumper cap is placed on both pins, the jumper is CLOSED. The illustration below shows a 3-pin jumper; pins 1 and 2 are CLOSED and pin 3 is OPEN. If you remove the jumper cap, the jumper is OPEN.

2.1.1.1 Clear CMOS
Clear CMOS jumper can erase CMOS data and reset the system BIOS information. The default setting is pins 1-2 closed. To reset the CMOS data to its default settings, set pins 2-3 closed for just a few seconds, and then move the jumper back to 1-2 closed.
CAUTION
Shut down your computer and unplug the power cord from the power supply before setting Clear CMOS.

2.2 Hardware Installation
This chapter describes how to install hard disk drive, CFast card, PCI/ PCIe cards, internal USB, COM port and optional expansion module in the system.
2.2.1 SATA HDD Installation
Follow the instruction below to install SATA HDD.
1. Loosen a thumbscrew on the front panel by hand.
2. Withdraw thumbscrew and open the SATA HDD cover.

2.2.2 PCI/ PCIe Card Installation
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer has four slots for PCI/ PCIe card. Follow instructions below to install PCI/PCIe card.
1. Loosen two thumbscrews on the front panel by hand and remove the top cover.
2. Insert the PCI/PCIe card into the PCI/PCIe slot.
3. Replace top cover and secure two thumbscrews.
CAUTION/ ATTENTION
DO NOT Connect any external power to PCI/ PCIe card. Use only DC Out 12V connector (J9) on Backplane Board.

2.2.3 Inserting a CFast Card
The EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer provides external CompactFlash socket to accommodate a CF card.
1. Loosen two screws on the front side and remove the external CF socket cover.
2. Align the internally mounted CF card with the guide of the internal CF socket and
insert the card until it is firmly seated in the external CF socket.
3. Install external CF socket cover and fasten the screws.

2.2.4 Expansion Module (Preliminary)
EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer supports two kinds of optional modules for different applications. Notice that Expansion Module is an optional feature and may not be present in your device.
1. Loosen two hand-turn screws and open the top cover.
2. Assemble module on motherboard. Secure module baffle with two screws.
3. Secure the expansion module with two screws.
4. Replace top cover and secure with screws.

2.2.5 External Antenna Installation
The EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer is equipped with SMA Connector for additional external antenna (WLAN or WWAN).
To install the Antenna please perform the following:
1. Remove the rubber cap on the SMA connector before installing the antenna.
2. Align the antenna with the SMA connector and fasten it as shown on the picture.
3. Adjust the position of external antenna.
2.2.6 Inserting a Memory Card and Mini PCIe Card
Two DDR4-SODIMM memory card slots are located on the Motherboard.
To install the DDR4-SODIMM memory card perform the following:
1. Loosen by hand two thumbscrews and open the top cover.

The DC power supply connector of the EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer is on the front panel. The DC power input for the EAC PRO-IK90 Embedded Computer allows a voltage input range from 9 V DC to 36 V DC.
Notice that the connection describes on the picture below is for the device with no PCI/ PCIe card. If you want to install the PCI/ PCIe card refer to the p. 42 of this Quick Start Guide for power connection instructions.

Power consumption as follows is based on lab data in which 12V DC is applied and current is measured by the DC power supply. The power consumption (W) is calculated as the product of applied voltage (V) and the current (A).

Smart fan is connected to FAN2 by default. Sensor chip is located on the BP1 board.

CHAPTER 3: UEFI BIOS SETUP
BIOS Setup Utility is a program for configuration basic Input / Output system settings of the computer for optimum use. This chapter provides information on how to use BIOS setup, its functions and menu.
3.1 How and When to Use BIOS Setup
To enter the BIOS setup, you need to connect an external USB keyboard, external monitor and press Del key when the prompt appears on the screen during start up. The prompt screen shows only few seconds so need press Del key quickly.
IMPORTANT:
Updated BIOS version may be published after the manual released. Check the latest version of BIOS on the website.
You may need to run BIOS setup utility for reasons listed below:
1. Error message on screen indicates to check BIOS setup
2. Restoring the factory default settings.
3. Modifying the specific hardware specifications
4. Necessity to optimize specifications

3.3 Using Recovery Wizard to Restore Computer
Note:
Before starting the recovery process, make sure to backup all user data. The data will be lost after the recovery process.
To enable quick one-key recovery procedure:
1. Connect the computer to the power source. Make sure the computer stays plugged
in to power source during the recovery process.
2. Turn on the computer, and when the boot screen shows up, press Tab+ F6 to
initiate the Recovery Wizard.
3. The following screen shows the Recovery Wizard. Click Recovery button to
continue.
4. A warning message about data loss will show up. Make sure the data is backed up
before recovery, and click Yes to continue.
5. Wait the recovery process to complete. During the recovery process, a command
prompt will show up to indicate the percent of recovery process complete. The system will restart automatically after recovery completed.
Important: Before starting the recovery process, remove the PCI/ PCIe card and CFast card.

3.4 How to Enable Watchdog
To enable Watchdog, you need to download Winmate Watchdog utility. Find more
information on Watchdog in “Watchdog Guide” that you can download from Winmate
Download Center or File Share. Refer to the User Manual for more details.
To enable watchdog in Watchdog AP follow the instructions below:
1. On the right bottom side of the desktop screen, click triangle button to show
hidden icons.
2. Click icon to open Watchdog utility.
3. In Watchdog utility window set countdown time and periodically feed time, or
disable watchdog.
Example:
Every 10 min watchdog will monitor the system, in case any error occurs the system will restart automatically when the countdown time reaches 0.
Every 9 min watchdog timer will be reset to 10 min.

4.1 Chipset Driver
Follow instructions below to install Chipset driver.
1. Open the Driver CD (included in the package) and select Chipset driver.

3. Select Accept to agree with the terms of license agreement.
4. Check the ReadMe file information, select Install to continue.

7. After installation is completed, select “Yes, I want to restart this computer now”,
and click Finish.
4.3 Management Engine (ME) and .NET Framework 1.1 Driver
Follow instructions below to install Management Engine (ME) and .NET Framework 1.1 driver.
1. Open the Driver CD (included in the package) and select ME driver.
2. Error message will pop up, select Finish.
3. Select .NET Framework 1.1.
4. Select Yes to start the installation.
5. Wait for the driver to be installed.
6. When installation completed, select Restart Now to restart your computer.
7. Again select the ME to continue installation. Select Next.
8. Please check the license agreement, and then select Next.
9. Select Next to start the installation.
10. Wait for the driver to be installed.
11. When installation completed, select Finish complete installation.

4.6 RST Driver
Follow instructions below to install RTS driver.
1. Open the Driver CD (included in the package) and select RTS driver.
2. Select Next to continue.
3. Read the license agreement, and then select Next.
4. Confirm the installation, select Install to start the installation.
5. Select Next to continue.
6. Select Next to start the installation.
7. Wait for installation to complete.
8. Warning message will pop up, select Install.

3. Read the license agreement, and then select “I agree”.
4. Wait for installation to complete.
5. When installation is completed, select Finish to close the window.
